World No-Tobacco Day Celebrations in the college

The Anti-Tobacco Cell in Collaboration with the Department of Chemistry observed the World No-Tobacco Day on 31 st May, 2021 by organizing a Guest lecture on “The Harmful Effects- (Physical, Mental, Psychological, Social) of Tobacco” on the virtual Zoom platform.

The Guest Speaker was Dr. Rohan Bartake, Medical Officer Awareness at Indian Cancer Society & Health Communication Expert. The speaker touched on the various perspectives related to the Harmful effects of Tobacco in a very comprehensive and lucid manner.

This was followed by the pledge taking function as per the directives from the UGC.

The program received a very encouraging response of 500 participants.
