Guest Lecture on "Cyber Security and its career opportunities" : 

The Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security and its Career Opportunities” held on 11th July 2025 in the 1st Floor Seminar Hall was conducted by Ms. Chetan Lakhara, Co-Founder of Encryptecl Cyberguard, and attended by 117 students. Organized for first-year B.Sc. students, the session introduced key concepts of cyber threats, data protection, and ethical hacking, while highlighting diverse career paths like Security Analyst and Ethical Hacker. Through interactive discussions, live demos, and case studies, the lecture provided practical insights and inspired students to explore careers in cybersecurity and digital defense.

Environmental Activity (CARRE):

The Environmental Awareness Activity held on 28th July 2025 in the Presentation Room (5th Floor) was organized by the Department of Computer Science and guided by Ms. Anjali Singh and Ms. Payal Gond, Assistant Professors. With 18 participants, the event focused on topics like Mangrove Protection, Oil Spill Effects, Air Pollution, and Reduce–Reuse–Recycle. Students presented creative solutions, and the best three ideas received certificates and prizes. The activity encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to environmental conservation.

Guest Session on "Aptitude Preparation & Advance in Tool- Excel" : 

The Guest Session on “Aptitude Preparation & Advance in Tool–Excel” held on 14th August 2025 in Classroom 314 was conducted by Mr. Harshit Thakur, SAP Analyst Trainee at Capgemini, attended by 46 students and was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The session aimed to improve students’ aptitude and Excel skills, covering topics like logical reasoning, mathematical aptitude, verbal ability, and advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization. The session was well-received for its practical approach, boosting students’ analytical and technical skills.


Guest Session on “Recent Technological Trends” : 

The Guest Session on “Recent Technological Trends” held on 18th August 2025 in Classroom 612 was conducted by Mr. Sumit Mishra, DevOps Engineer at Kraftnexux LLP, and attended by 55 students was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The session introduced learners to key technologies like AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, and Cybersecurity, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with industry trends.The interactive session motivated students to use their college years productively and develop future-ready skills.



Linux Certification Course:

The "30-Hour Linux Administration Certificate Course", conducted by Ms.Siddhi Birwadkar, designed for First-Year Computer Science students to introduce them to the fundamentals of Linux administration which was conducted in duration from 29th November to 21st December 2025. With 25 students enrolled as seats were kept limited, the course offered theoretical concepts and hands-on practice, ensuring students gained practical experience with essential Linux tools and techniques.



Database Administration Course:

The “30-hour DBA certificate course” introduces first-year Computer Science students to the fundamentals of database administration which was conducted in duration from 29th November to 21st December 2025. Total 20 students are enrolled for the certificate course and was conducted by Ms. Nidhi Surti, This course focused on database design, SQL, transaction management, and advanced topics like data warehousing, paired with practical projects.


E-kshetra

The Coding Club of the Computer Science Department organized an E-sports event named E-kshetra 2.0 on 19th January 2026 & 20th January 2026  and was coordinated by Mr. Mahesh Gurunani and  Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The event featured popular esports games like BGMI, Free Fire, E-Football and Clash Royale with 100+ group registrations. A total of 8 winners were awarded trophies and a cash prize worth ₹35,000 in different categories. Hack-it-Out

The Department of Computer Science, TCSC, organized an inter-college hackathon Hack-it-Out on 21st–22nd January 2026, with participation from 48 teams across Mumbai University colleges. The event was coordinated by Mr. Mahesh Gurunani and Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar, along with a core student team- Ms. Akshita Tiwari, Ms. Sakshi Gupta, Mr. Sumeet Singh, Mr. Prit Khatri, Ms. Shreya Kothari, Mr. Alex Joseph, Mr, Karan Dixit, Mr. Harikesh Sharma, Mr. Devansh Devre, Mr. Katson Joyel and others. The two-day, multi-round competition focused on solving case-based problem statements using modern technologies, highlighting participants’ technical and analytical skills.

Social Work: 

Workshop titled "Awareness of Cyber Crime : Technical Insights into Cyber Security and Digital Safety" at Shri Raghubir Madhyamik Vidyalaya & English High School from 28th January and 29th January 2026 and was coordinated by Ms. Anjali Singh. The workshop under Social Work was conducted over 2 days, engaging class 10th students. Total participation exceeded 60+ students, demonstrating a strong interest in cybersecurity awareness. The workshop was led by our UG Third year and PG first year  learner’s- Ms. Shreya Shukla, Ms. Anjali Shah, Ms. Nandini Kanneboina, Ms. Preeti Yadav,Mr. Harikesh Sharma and Mr. Lucky Shevaliya

Machine Learning Certificate Course 

This comprehensive “30-hour machine learning certificate course” introduces first-year Computer Science students to the fundamentals of machine learning. 20 students are enrolled for the certificate course and was conducted by Ms.Nidhi Surti. Covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice, students will have a thorough understanding of machine learning concepts and practical experience with essential tools and techniques.

Ms.Sakshi Kailash Yadav (TY BSC CS-A, 3)  has participated and presented a Research Project titled AIGRO- start-up for AI based Agriculture Prediction in Commerce, Management and Law Category and UG level at 20th Aavishkar at Final Round organized by University of Mumbai on 2025.

  1. Junior Under Officer (JUO) Mr. Chirag Joshi (TY BSC CS-A, 31 )from 3 MAH BN NCC participated in the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB-1) Camp organized by NCC Directorate Maharashtra at Ahilyanagar from 08 to 19 December 2025. This national integration camp highlights his leadership, discipline, and active involvement in NCC activities, reflecting strong commitment to unity and service.

  1. Mr. Vikram Singh Shekhawat(TYCS-A, 32) participated in the NCC Advance Leadership Camp (ALC–VI) held in December 2025 at Nashik, representing the Maharashtra Directorate and engaging in leadership and camp activities.


  1. Ms. Yashvhi Chouhan, Ms. Janhavi Singh, Rohan Gupta, Arnav Nikam, Mrugakshi, Prit Khatri, Mr. Kartik Thakur, and Sakshi Singh were declared winners of  “Social Sutra 2026”, organized at M.L. Dahanukar College, Vile Parle, and held on 17th January 2026.

  1. Mr. Aman Singh, Mr. Shreyash Gaikwad, Aditya Devkar, Pura Devrukhar, Daivisha Patel, Mr. Soham Parab, Ms. Meet Joshi, Mr. Prit Khatri and Mr. Atharva Chavan won “Best College Award” at the Athena 2026 event organized by D.G. Ruparel College which  held 29th January 2026.

  1. Ms. Prachi Tripathi (TY.B.SC. CS- A,87 ), Ms. Minal Maurya(TY.B.SC. CS- A, 85)and Ms. Siddhi Gaikar(TY.B.SC. CS- A,86 ) secured the Runner Up Position in the “Web Development Track” at the inter-collegiate hackathon “Hack-It-Out 2.0” organized by the Department of Computer Science at Thakur College of Science and Commerce. They had commended in creating an innovative, user-centric solution. the event held on 21st - 22nd January 2026.

  1. Mr. Ram Jeet Verma (T.Y.B.Sc. CS (B), 134), has been appreciated for his remarkable entrepreneurial achievement in establishing “FESTONOVA”, a registered Micro Enterprise (UDYAM-MH-19-0415234). The enterprise specializes in organizing conventions and trade shows and was officially registered under MSME on 14/02/2026, reflecting his innovation and business excellence.

  1. Mr. Malhar Deshmukh (TYBSc CS, 55) was selected among four teams from the college for the second round (Ideation – Panel Pitch) of the RTMSSU(Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University) entrepreneurship competition, competing at the Mumbai and Maharashtra level.


  1. Also, Mr. Malhar Deshmukh (TYBSc CS, 55) advanced to the Final Round of the State (University) Level Ideation Competition, competing against teams from across Maharashtra and evaluated by a panel of entrepreneurs. The final round was held on 30th March 2026, Monday at Peacock Hall, World Trade Centre (WTC), Cuff Parade, Mumbai – 400005.


  1. This year Mr. Chirag Joshi (TYCS-A, 31) and Mr. Vikram Singh Shekhawat(TYCS-A, 32) from T.Y. B.Sc. CS(A) got Selected for AFSB interview by the Indian Air Force (AFCAT entry) and reported to 3 AFSB, Gandhinagar for a 5–6 day comprehensive selection process including screening, psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview.


  1. Mr. Vaibhav Solanki (M.Sc.CS Part-2) has successfully completed the NPTEL (IIT Madras) certified course on Design and Analysis of Algorithms (8-week program),
