Activities & Events conducted in year 2025-26


Information Technology & AI/ML

  1. A Career Counselling Session is organized on 19th June 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The primary objective of the session was to guide third-year students in their preparation for upcoming campus placements and to help them gain a better understanding of current industry expectations.The session was conducted by Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Technical Head at SDAC, an esteemed industry expert with extensive experience in career development and talent acquisition. Total 150 learners were benefitted from the session.


  1. A Guidance Session was conducted on “Study Abroad & Credit Transfer Program in USA/Australia/Canada” for the first-year learners on 24th and 25th June 2025. The event aimed to enlighten students about global educational opportunities and guide them through the process of pursuing higher studies abroad through structured credit transfer programs. The session was conducted by Mr. Zachariah Samuel, Director of Computrin, who has extensive experience in international education consultancy.Total 150 learners have attended the session.


  1. A  Robotics Workshop is organized in collaboration with Techfest, IIT Bombay on 22nd September, 2025. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the exciting world of robotics, automation and innovation, providing them with a platform to understand the integration of hardware and software systems in building intelligent machines.Total 200 learners attended the workshop.

  1. A Guest Lecture on the topic of ““Path to Placement: Technical Interview Skills” under Career Counselling and Guidance” was organized on 15th November, 2025 for 200 learners. The resource person, Mr. Rajeev Saigal, Strategic Partnerships & Alliances: India , APAC & ME, Gruve Technologies, addressed the learners and the  session aimed to guide students on developing the essential qualities, technical competencies and industry-specific skills required to excel in technical interviews and secure placements in reputed organizations.



  1. A two-day guidance session titled “Gateway to International Studies: Beyond Borders Learning” was organized for undergraduate and postgraduate students on 20th and 21st November 2025. The session aimed to create awareness about global educational opportunities and guide students on pursuing higher studies abroad through structured credit transfer programs. The session was conducted by Mr. Rayan Samuel from Computrin, who provided valuable insights into international education pathways and the admission process for studying abroad. A total of 189 learners attended the session and benefited from the informative interaction.


  1. The Department of Information Technology, Data Science & AI/ML, under the School of   Computational Science & Technology, organized a Student Interaction and Awareness Session titled “Self Awareness & Emotional Intelligence” on 12th December 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Seminar Hall.  The objective of the session was to help students understand the importance of self-awareness, emotional balance and inner growth as essential components of personal development and professional excellence. The session aimed to guide students in recognizing their emotions, managing stress, and enhancing emotional intelligence for holistic success.

The session was conducted by Brahmachari Yukta Chaitanya, an experienced and insightful resource person known for his work in personal growth and emotional well-being. 

  1. The Department of Information Technology / Data Science & AI-ML organized a hands-on coding session titled “Mastering Your Coding Skills” on 10th January 2026 in Lab 205. The session aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world coding practices and insights into current software industry expectations. The session was conducted by Mr. Mahendra Sharma, a distinguished alumnus of the Department of IT and currently the India Head at Citi India, who shared his expertise in Java, Python, SQL, Data Structures and emerging technologies with the students. Total 46 students attended the session.

              


  1. The Department of Information Technology, under the School of Computational Science & Technology, organized a Student Interaction and Awareness Session on Research Methodology titled “End-to-End Research: Instrument Design, Data Analysis & Reporting” on 7th February 2026 at 12:30 PM in Room No. 211. The session aimed to create awareness about the importance of research papers in career advancement and to guide students on formulating research objectives, designing research instruments, conducting surveys, and analysing data effectively. The session was conducted by Dr. Anand Upadhyay, an expert in research analysis and professional well-being. Through his interactive approach, he explained the fundamentals of research methodology and its role in developing analytical and investigative skills. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 students.

 

  1. As part of the college’s CARRE (Connecting All to Respect & Recreate Environment) – Harmony with Nature program and in alignment with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG 12), the Department organized an Awareness Drive on “Waste Management: Segregation of Waste at Source” on 16th January 2026 in the college campus and Thakur Village Market, Kandivali (East). The drive aimed to create awareness among shopkeepers, vegetable vendors, local residents and students about the importance of segregating waste at the source to reduce waste generation and promote sustainable consumption practices. The initiative also emphasized minimizing food loss and encouraging responsible disposal habits to support a cleaner and healthier environment. Total 215 students participated in the drive.

  1. The International Conference on Innovations in Computing & Technology (ICCT 2026), organized by the School of Computational Science & Technology (Departments of IT/CS/DS & AI/ML), TCSC on 21st February 2026, successfully brought together academicians, researchers, and students for knowledge exchange and innovation. The conference was graced virtually by Dr. Rajan Welukar. The keynote address by Dr. Aditya Abhyankar provided valuable insights into emerging trends in computing and technology. The event was further enriched by the presence of Guests of Honour, including Dr. R. Srivarmangai, Dr. Rajendra Patil, and Dr. Hiren Dand. The conference received 188 research papers, all accepted after peer review, and recorded 282 participant registrations, reflecting strong academic engagement. 

The event was convened by Dr. S. K. Singh, whose leadership ensured its successful execution.

  1. The Department of IT/DS/AI/ML organized a plantation drive titled “Harmony with Nature” on 25th March 2026 in the garden area of the TCSC campus. This initiative was conducted under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as part of Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), in association with IQAC’s CARRE (Connecting All to Respect & Recreate Environment) program. The program was successfully coordinated by student coordinators Ms. Sneha Shetty and Ms. Aarya More, who ensured smooth execution of the event. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Dr. S. K. Singh (Head of Department) and Dr. C. T. Chakraborty (Principal). Special efforts by Ms. Jyotsna Anthal, the Event Organizer, played a crucial role in planning and organizing the drive efficiently. The drive aimed to encourage environmental responsibility and instil a sense of duty toward nature among young learners.

  4.  Mohit Gupta (SY B.Sc. IT - A), Khushi Singh (SY B.Sc. IT - A), Jagrat Mogaveera (SY B.Sc. IT - A), and Jainam Jain (SY B.Sc. IT - A) reached the Final Round in the Hackcrypt National Level Hackathon 2025 organized by Thakur Shyamnarayan College, Kandivali (East), Mumbai, on 16th January 2026. 

  5. Mohit Gupta (SY B.Sc. IT - A), Khushi Singh (SY B.Sc. IT - A), Jagrat Mogaveera (SY B.Sc. IT - A), and Jainam Jain (SY B.Sc. IT - A) won Runner-Up (2nd Place) in the Shubharambh Hackathon 2025 organized by St. Arnold’s Degree College, Andheri (East), Mumbai, on 6th December 2025.

  3.  Mrs. Poonam Jain has been recognized as an inventor in the Indian Patent Application titled “Artificial Intelligence Based System for Advanced Grammar Correction and Contextual Writing Improvement” (Application No. 202641006197), filed on 21 January 2026 with the Government of India. This innovation in the field of Computer Science leverages Artificial Intelligence to enhance grammar correction and contextual writing, contributing to advancements in intelligent language processing technologies.
