Student Council TCSC organized “Youth Parliament” on 25th of August (Monday) under the guidance of “Youth Parliament Section, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.” The purpose of the event was to expose students to the Parliamentary proceedings of the country. The students were also given an opportunity to discuss on current topics. .

The members argued on call to attention topics like
60 Students participated in the event and they successfully recreated the look of real Parliament. The seating arrangement was made as per the provisions of the Parliament. On the right-hand side of the Speaker, the ruling party and on the left-hand side of the speaker opposition were made to seat.
Students dressed in formal Parliament wear looked the part. The role of Speaker, Deputy Speaker, PM, Leader of Opposition, Secretary General etc. was played by the students as per the parliament norms.
The items like ‘Oath by New Members’, ‘Introduction to New Ministers by PM’, ‘Question Hour’, ‘Papers to be Laid’, ‘zero Hour’, etc were presented in this Youth Parliament.
The students put forward a very engaging debate and exhibited deep knowledge in the topic. They participated enthusiastically and put forward their opinion without any inhibition. The event was enjoyed by the students paving a way for them to explore and learn more about parliamentary affairs and procedure in future. The Speaker adjourned the parliament followed by the playing National song Vande Mataram.
