Eligibility

A candidate in order to be eligible for admission to the B.Com (Honours) degree course shall have passed the 12th Std. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 55%.


Duration of the Program

The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be six semesters spread over in 3 years.


Course Details

B.Com Honours program is a 3-year Undergraduate Management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The aim of this program is to provide comprehensive accounting training and exposure to the students by way of innovative practical approach teaching learning methodology. Interactive teaching, projects, presentations, case-study analysis, field-studies, industrial visits, soft skills development, internships and placements are an integral part of Honours pedagogy.

Bridge Course

For the Honours program, the students come from all 3 faculties (Arts, Science & Commerce), thus to assist the knowledge enhancement of the Arts & Science faculty students and make them stand at par with the Commerce/Management subjects, a Bridge Course is offered in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics & Statistics : 15 hours including Tutorials
  • Basics of Accountancy : 15 hours including Tutorials

  • Internal Evaluation : 40 Marks
  • External Evaluation : 60 Marks


Certificate Courses

Certificate course of honours department is organised in collaboration with Department of Accountancy.


Department distinctiveness

A B.Com honours learner gets 148 credits in three years which is the maximum credits at under graduate level.
