Eligibility


A candidate in order to be eligible for admission to the B.Com.(Management Studies) (EARLIER KNOWN AS BMS)degree course shall have passed the 12th Std. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branch with two or three or four years duration after passing the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination.

Duration of the Course


The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be six/ eight semesters spread over in 3 / 4 years.


Course Details

The Department of Management Studies (B.M.S.) program is a 3 / 4 year Undergraduate Management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The aim of this program is to provide comprehensive management training and exposure to the students by way of innovative practical approach teaching learning methodology. Interactive teaching, projects, presentations, case-study analysis, field-studies, industrial visits, soft skills development, internships and placements are an integral part of BMS pedagogy. 


The program also aims to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship among young minds and also to develop mid-level managerial skills for industry. As an Autonomous College, the BMS curriculum has been professionally upgraded to meet the demands of the Corporate world.


As per NEP guidelines, in the Second year of BMS, the students can select Marketing or Finance as their Major subject. This helps them get in-depth knowledge in their area of interest. The program is designed to train students to be aspiring Entrepreneurs, Managers and budding CEOs of tomorrow, thus taking up the responsibility for all-round development of students’ personality.

Bridge Course: 

For the BMS program, the students come from all 3 faculties (Arts, Science & Commerce), thus to assist the knowledge enhancement of the Arts & Science faculty students and make them stand at par with the Commerce/Management subjects, a Bridge Course is offered in the following subjects :

Basics of Accountancy – 15 hours including Tutorials

Certificate Courses:

Certificate Course in Family Managed Business – This is Online Certificate Course catering to the needs of the students who belong to Business Families and aspire to learn knowledge, skills and attitude for Family Entrepreneurs. 

Duration – 30 Hours in 3 Months ( 15 Lectures and 15 Practical Sessions)
