B.Sc. C.S. - Academics

Eligibility

Candidates shall have passed H.S.C. Examination in science stream of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and have secured not less than 40% marks in aggregate with Mathematics or Statistics as one of Subject.


Duration Of The Program

Under NEP, College offers B.Sc. (Honors) program of 8 semester. After completion of 2 semesters , Learner is eligible to get Certificate. After successful completion of 4 semesters, Learner is eligible for Diploma and subsequently after 6 and 8 semester successful completion, learner is eligible to get Degree and Honors respectively.

Scheme of Evaluation:

First/Second/Third Year

Internal Exam  (40 % weightage)

  • Continuous Evaluation  I (CEI):  20 Marks – Test 

  • 5 Marks – Active participation in routine class instructional deliveries. Overall conduct as a responsible student, manners, skill in articulation, leadership qualities demonstrated through organizing co-curricular activities, etc.

External Exam  (60% weightage)

Practical Exam – 25 Marks

  • Each course carry 25 Marks : 15 marks + 05 marks (journal) + 05 marks (viva)

  • Minimum 75 % practical from each paper are required to be completed and written in the journal(Certified Journal is compulsory for appearing at the time of Practical Exam)

Bridge course:

Objective:

To prepare learners for foundation in computer technology so that they can learn course curriculum with greater efficiency. This course is meant for enhancing technological knowledge of learners from non computer science background.

Outcome: 

 After completion, students will be able to understand the underlying concept behind the core syllabus.

Certificate course:

Department conduct certificate course under  Spoken Tutorial project which is under  National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.  

The department conduct three certificate courses:
