Department of Actuarial Science - Activities & Events in 2023-24

March 04, 2024: T.Y.B.Sc. Actuarial Science students showcased their prowess in a presentation covering diverse topics pertinent to the actuarial profession. This platform not only provided students with an avenue to exhibit their presentation skills but also facilitated mutual learning and knowledge exchange. All 14 students presented topic of their choice related to Actuarial Science in front of Prof. Purnima Shah, Dr. Rajendra Shah and few other visiting faculties.

March 11, 2024: An enlightening guest lecture by industry expert Nirav Shah (AVP – Actuarial, ICICI Lombard), specializing in Health Insurance, added valuable insights to students' understanding. With over a decade of experience and on the cusp of attaining actuarial qualification, Nirav shared invaluable perspectives on the evolving landscape of Health Insurance and the pivotal role actuaries play in shaping industry dynamics. All 14 students of T.Y.B.Sc. Actuarial Science attended the session.
