A Guest Lecture on “Gender sensitization” was conducted by renowned speaker Mr. Nishant Jha (Writer, Director and Motivational Speaker) on 11th July 2024. The aim of this activity to create awareness among students about the grim realities Women Trafficking and to create awareness about the pervasive issue of gender discrimination. Speaker created awareness amongst students about the grim realities of women trafficking. He explained how human trafficking disproportionately affects women, girls and children. He shared the tips to protect against human Trafficking. Total 100 student’s participants participated in this event.
Movie screening of the film “Kadvi Hawa” was done on 30th July 204.The aim of this activity was to create awareness among students about addressing Crucial Environment issues in the society. Total 119 students watched the movie, which covered the larger issue of climate change and its staggering human cost.
Guest lecture on the topic “Corporate Governance and Financial Literacy” was organized on 13th August 2024. Guest lecture was conducted by renowned speaker Mr. Tanuj Poddar (Director, Beam Outsourcing Services LLP). The aim of the activity is to create awareness about the corporate culture among the students and preparing them for a corporate world. Resource person spoke about the rules and processes that control the corporates. He explained with examples how the interests of the stakeholders are safeguarded and corporates maximize long term value. He guided the students in financial literacy through Games. 261 Students participated in this activity.
Reel Making Competition on the theme of National Integration to support “Har Ghar Tiranga” the initiative taken by Government of India on 14th August 2024. The aim of this event to create sense of national pride and unity among citizens and also to promote awareness about countries rich history and cultural heritage. 72 Students participated in the competition.

Digital Poster Exhibition on different languages in India was organized from 4th to 10th December 2024. The aim of this event was to promote cultural diversity, to celebrate linguistic heritage, and to foster unity through communication. Total 147 students/ Visitors participated in this activity.
Flagship event, Grand Fun ‘N’ Fair 2025, on the theme “From Legacy to Innovation: The Ratan Tata Way – A Tribute to the Legend.” The event was held on January 10, 2025, at the TCSC Gangway Area from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. 52 stalls in three categories -Food, Articles, and Games were put up by the students of our college. Dr. (Mrs.) Lily Bhushan (Principal of KES’ B. K. Shroff College of Arts & M. H. Shroff College of Commerce) and Mrs. Smita Pitale, Judge for the event inaugurated the event. The event's main motive was developing entrepreneurship skills among the students. Total 114 Students from degree and Junior college participated in this activity by displaying, promoting and selling their products in beautifully decorated stalls, exhibited their budding entrepreneurial skills, paying tribute to great legend Sir Ratan Tata.

A Guest Lecture on “Value Based: Shaping Ethical & Responsible Citizens” on 12th March 2025 by Dr. Medha Dave Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry SVKM’s Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science and Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce & economics. The aim of the activity was to instill moral values; ethics, integrity, and compassion in students, helping them become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. Total 213 students participated in this activity.
One day Industrial Visit for T.Y.B.Com learners to ‘Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust’ was organized for Students specializing in Export Marketing on 24th March 2025 on site Lecture was taken by Sanjay Patil (JNPT Visit In-charge) and Informational video on JNPT by Prashant Patil at the Port. The aim of this visit was to enhance understanding of Export marketing documentation, procedure and processing of Cargos. Total 74 Students have participated in Industrial Visit.
A Social Activity- Prayas on 6th July 2024, 29th July 2024 and 21 September 2024 the aim to inspire the learners to take up social initiatives that could make a difference in the society and learn the importance of supporting and caring for the children, to sensitize school children’s about cherishing independence, to sensitize school students about animals.
Creation of PAN Card, an offline Skill Development Session was conducted to guide learners through the process of PAN card application from August 26, 2024, to September 26, 2024, teaching them its importance in financial transactions and the required documentation. Participants were assisted in completing the forms and understanding the application process, making the session highly informative and practical. A total of 14 learners benefited and applied for PAN card creation.
An offline Guest Lecture on “Securities Market & SEBI” was conducted on 2nd September 2024 to educate learners about the functioning of financial markets and the role of SEBI in regulating them. The resource person was Mr. Viraj Singhal, A Certified Trainer. Approximately 70 learners attended the session.
On 3rd September 2024, the department organized a value education session titled "Ethics in Action: Making Choices that Matter", attended by 180 participants. CA Taruna Jain was the resource person. The session aimed to emphasize the importance of ethical decision-making in personal and professional life. The speaker, an expert in ethical leadership, discussed real-life scenarios where ethics played a crucial role in decision-making.
A guest lecture was conducted on the Recent Amendments in Income Tax Laws, where an expert CA Vikas Upadhyay, in taxation, explained key changes, their implications, and how individuals and businesses can adapt to the new regulations. This session was organised on 14th September 2024. The session provided valuable insights into tax planning and compliance. 135 learners participated in this session
The college celebrated Bhasha Diwas on 7th December 2024 with a special singing event in the Presentation Room to honour linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. Approximately 15 learners participated in this event.
On January 22, 2025, the STEP activity, FINSCOOP’25, Inter and Intra Collegiate Event, was organized in the Seminar Hall from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This event attracted 52 teams from around 10 colleges in Mumbai. Activities included Logo Identification, Mystery Vision, Accounting Puzzle, and Elocution. The objective was to strengthen accounting knowledge through fun competitions. The event aimed to enhance learners' understanding of accounting through interactive competitions.

A special guidance lecture was conducted on 10th January 2025 to help learners prepare for the National Accounting Talent Search Examination. The session covered key accounting concepts, problem-solving techniques, and tips for effective exam preparation. 19 learners attended the session.
A hands-on workshop on e-filing Income Tax Return was organized for Third-year learners of the Degree from 7th January 2025 to 13th January 2025 to train students on filing income tax returns online. 161 learners took advantage of the session. Tax Experts demonstrated the step-by-step process of e-filing, common mistakes to avoid, and the importance of tax compliance in financial planning.
A Guest Lecture on “Beyond the Budget: Skill for Life explored the essentials of financial literacy and the art of managing personal finances. 122 Participants explored a vibrant array of topics, including clever saving strategies designed to build a secure financial future, thoughtful investment planning to grow their wealth, and effective expense management techniques to keep spending in check. The session was guided by CS Prateek Jain, Proprietor of J Prateek & Associates. By immersing themselves in these crucial subjects, learners were empowered to cultivate robust financial habits and hone their ability to make savvy, informed decisions that will serve them well throughout their lives.
A field trip of 30 learners to Mahananda Dairy was scheduled on 15th February 2025 as a part of Experiential Learning. It gave students a valuable opportunity to explore dairy production. They observed the entire supply chain, from milking to packaging, and learned about the strict quality control measures in place. The visit highlighted efficient herd management techniques and the role of technology in monitoring milk production. Additionally, students gained insights into market demand, pricing strategies, and the importance of sustainability in the dairy industry, deepening their appreciation for this complex sector.
The Class to Class Awareness Activity on Environmental Conservation & Sustainability was organised on 24th & 25th February 2025 as a part of CARRE Activity. The skit “Old Earth vs. New Earth” was performed by the learners to raise awareness about environmental changes caused by industrialization and negligence. Total 425 witnessed the session. It features Old Earth, a pristine version of our planet, meeting New Earth, a polluted and weary counterpart. Their dialogue addresses the impacts of deforestation, fossil fuel consumption, and climate change, with New Earth lamenting the loss of clean air and oceans. Despite the grim situation, New Earth acknowledges efforts to reverse damage through tree planting, renewable energy, and awareness campaigns. Old Earth stresses the urgency for action, highlighting that small changes can lead to significant improvements.
On 25th February 2025, Department of Accountancy hosted an engaging Accounting Inter and Intra Collegiate Event: “Aconte’25” under STEP Activity, that brought together students from various programs to enhance their knowledge and skills in a fun and competitive manner. Approx 45 Participants participated in this event. The event featured four main games: Snake & Ladder, Accounting Jumble, Business Budget, and Financial Housie. Qualifiers from these games progressed to the final segment, "Final Flash," which involved bidding on questions.

On 31st August 2024, the third-year learners undertook an educational visit to the RBI Monetary Museum, located in Mumbai, as a part of Experiential Learning. The visit was organized as a part of the curriculum enrichment initiative aimed at providing learners with practical exposure to India’s monetary history and the functioning of the Reserve Bank of India. 79 Learners enjoyed this experience.

1. INK IT – Essay Writing Competition
The INK IT – Essay Writing Competition, organized on 11th July 2024, was an academic initiative aimed at fostering intellectual engagement and critical thinking on contemporary global issues. Categorized under Value Education, the event encouraged students to explore themes related to sustainable development, human dividend, social justice, and environmental law. Conducted in offline mode, it was a collaborative effort by the Departments of Law, Business Communication, and Environmental Studies, with an impressive participation of 126 students. The winners, Ms. Nidhi Erande (FY B.Sc.), Ms. Meghna Jana (FY B.Com MS), and Ms. Aanchal Singh (SY B.Sc.), were recognized for their exceptional research and articulation, reinforcing the significance of such academic endeavours in cultivating a culture of informed discourse.
2. Court Visit to Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Borivali
To enhance experiential learning and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world legal practice, a Court Visit to the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Borivali, was conducted on 29th July 2024 for 28 B.Com students. This activity falls under Skill Development, offering students a real-time perspective on judicial processes, particularly in criminal cases involving theft and murder. Conducted in offline mode, the visit allowed students to observe live courtroom proceedings and interact with the presiding judge, gaining valuable insights into legal adjudication, procedural intricacies, and the role of legal professionals in upholding justice. The visit significantly enriched students’ comprehension of criminal law, fostering a deeper appreciation for the judicial system and its foundational principles.
3. Court Visit for Self-Financed Courses
On 20th August 2024, a Court Visit to the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Borivali, was organized for self-financed course students, further extending the opportunity for practical legal exposure. Falling under Skill Development, a batch of 18 students attended this session, where they witnessed legal proceedings related to maintenance, alimony, and dishonour of cheques. This visit provided a firsthand understanding of family law, financial disputes, and judicial reasoning, enabling students to observe legal arguments, evidentiary assessments, and verdict pronouncements. Conducted in offline mode, the visit reinforced the necessity of experiential learning in legal education, equipping students with practical knowledge crucial for their professional growth.
4. Constitutional Day Celebration
In alignment with national celebrations, Constitutional Day was commemorated on 26th November 2024, featuring various activities aimed at instilling constitutional awareness and civic responsibility. Categorized under National Integration, the event included a collective reading of the Preamble across all degree courses, emphasizing the foundational values of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. A “Know Your Constitution” quiz, conducted in offline and online mode, saw an overwhelming participation of 989 students, assessing their knowledge of fundamental rights, duties, and constitutional principles. The high level of engagement and enthusiastic response reflected the students’ keen interest in civic learning, while geo-tagged documentation of the event served as a testament to the institution’s dedication to democratic education and national ethos.
5. Extempore Competition – Celebrating 75 Years of the Indian Constitution
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, an Extempore Competition was organized on 23rd December 2024, under the theme “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan”, providing a platform for students to articulate their insights on constitutional values. Falling under National Integration, the event saw 20 participants deliver compelling speeches on topics such as the Spirit of the Preamble, Fundamental Duties, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Contributions, and the Constitution’s Role in India’s Unity in Diversity. Conducted in offline mode at the Presentation Room (5th Floor), the competition showcased students’ oratory skills, critical thinking, and legal acumen. Indrasen Yadav (M.Sc. Botany II) secured first place, Priya Jaiswal (M.Sc. Botany II) won second place, while Tushar Yadav (TY B.Com) and Palak Sharma (TY Botany) shared third place. Merit certificates were awarded to the winners, acknowledging their outstanding performances. The event successfully cultivated public speaking proficiency, enhanced legal awareness, and instilled a profound sense of national pride, aligning with the broader objective of fostering constitutional consciousness among students.
6. Debate Competition
A Debate Competition on 25th February 2025 was organised, as a Skill Development Activity aimed at enhancing students’ critical thinking, legal reasoning, and public speaking skills. With 25 participants, the event focused on pressing legal and ethical issues such as the Uniform Civil Code, Juvenile Justice, and Euthanasia in India. Students were challenged to argue both sides of each topic, promoting balanced perspectives and effective articulation. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and intellectually stimulating debates, culminating in the recognition of five students from FY B.Sc. (CS) – Prit Khatri, Amyn Rozani, Priyankar Bhavan, Rikul Kandari, and Jash Dhanki – as joint winners for their outstanding performance.
7. LEX FIESTA
The Department of Law organized LEXFIESTA ’25, a one-day legal fest aimed at promoting legal awareness and engaging students in the celebration of legal culture falling within the purview of skill enhancement. Held on 6th March 2025, the event featured a variety of activities designed to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity among students. With 36 participants, the fest provided a dynamic platform to showcase legal talent, strengthen teamwork and problem-solving abilities, and facilitate meaningful interaction with the legal community.
8. Seminar on Understanding RTI and Constitutional Values
On 7th March 2025 the Department of Law organized a guest lecture on “Understanding RTI & Constitutional Values” to enhance legal literacy and civic engagement. The session featured Mr. Shailesh Gandhi (Former Central Information Commissioner) and Adv. Shivam Jain Kakadia (Advocate, Bombay High Court). Mr. Gandhi discussed the RTI Act’s origin, implementation, and its role in promoting transparency in governance. Adv. Kakadia emphasized the RTI’s constitutional basis and its connection to freedom of expression. The session included case studies and interactive discussions, fostering participant engagement the seminar witnessed impressive participation of 126 students. The lecture deepened students’ understanding of the RTI Act, reinforced democratic values, and encouraged responsible citizenship. It served as an impactful value-added activity aligning with UGC and NEP 2020 goals.
9. Privilege Walk Activity
The Women’s Development Cell, in collaboration with the Law Department, organized a Privilege Walk Activity to raise awareness about social inequalities and hidden privileges. The interactive session encouraged participants to reflect on their lived experiences and societal positioning, total participants were 67. Through guided statements and movement, students explored issues related to gender, class, caste, and other dimensions of privilege. The activity fostered empathy, self-awareness, and critical thinking on inclusivity and intersectionality. Participants developed a deeper understanding of systemic privilege and the importance of equity. The session successfully promoted empathy and inclusiveness among students, aligning with UGC’s gender sensitization and value education goals.
