Description of the Event : The Department of Commerce initiated Social visit to Samta Nagar BMC school on 3rd July,2018 to create an awareness about health and hygiene during monsoon among the school children.This was done by SYBCOM and TYBCOM learners through skit, posters and support material like soap was provided to the school children.

Description of the Event : The Department of Commerce conducted an English Communication Course for the learners of SY & TY B.Com &Professional Courses.22 sessions of the course were conducted over a period of 2 months, thrice a week, from July to August, 2018. Throughout the course, the learners were involved in various exercise to train and  give them practice in vocabulary-building, sentence-construction, grammar, punctuation, and so. Oral skills such as pronunciation, voice modulation, body language was also worked up on. The course concluded with a series of tests to evaluate the Listening, Writing, Speaking & Reading skills of learners.

Description of the Event : The Department of Commerce organized seminar on “ Creative Minds” for S.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.Com learners on 14th July, 2018. The guest speaker for the session was Mr.DevdasPrajapati, ( TCSC BMM Alumni)who is a creative Art Director, Visualizer and a Graphic designer. He guided learners on various career opportunities in advertising field like media planner, visualizer, creator, art director etc.

Description of the Event : This Tutorial was conducted for T.Y.B.com learners. It commenced from 20thJuly 2018 (Twice a week) for duration of 1 month with total 20 participant from TYBCOM. This Tutorial was conducted by Ms.Mili Sharma in Computer lab.

Description of the Event :Quizon was intra college business quiz organized  on 26th July, 2018. It included 3 rounds – MCQ round, Logo identification round and Case study round. It developed confidence among learners for future goals and career. Provided information about current affairs which help them in their interviews and competitive exams.

Description of the Event : Intra college competition Brand Flip was organized on 28th July,2018 for all Degree College learners. Learners reframed the existing brand in the new face they showcased the leap from a Company –driven past to the consumer –driven future. Learners were exposed to talents of all the participants which enhanced their creativity and confidence.

Description of the Event : The Department of Commerce had organised a seminar on ‘Feminine Hygiene’ on 03rdAugust , 2018  addressed by Dr.MeeraAgrawal who is an obstetrician, Gynaecologist & General Physician. She is the owner of Agrawal Nursing Home, Bandra (west) Accompanied by Dr.Sadaf Merchant. Female students were educated about causes and preventive measures to be taken for good personal hygiene.

Description of the Event: Aagman is the fresher’s party of B.Com Department. All the First Year learners are welcomed by their seniors and teachers. The theme for this year AAGMAN was ‘HORRO-THE 13th STREET’. This year aagman was on 27th August, 2018. Chief guest for the event were Mr.Kunal Bakshi – a self made television actor and Miss. RashiAgarwal, celebrity make-up artist. There were many performance like theme dance, solo dance, fashion show, talent round for Mr and Ms.Aagman .

Description of the Event : A  social visit to the BMC school was conducted on 29th Sept. 2018. The theme of the visit was -Good touch Bad touch. The students of the school were explained about child abuse. Posters were used to convey the message to the students.

Description of the Event : On 17th October, 2018 the learners from department of commerce in collaboration with “The Child Help Foundation” organized a visit to “Rajwadi BMC School, Naigaon.”A  group of 21 students from first year B.Com along with one teacher in-charge  visited the School and conducted various activities based on “Health and Personal Hygiene” by way of Quiz, Dramatization , Dance , posters

Description of the Even: The department of Commerce organised “Grand Fun-N-Fair” on ‘AAMCHI MUMBAI’ theme was well lived in spirit by creating a mini Mumbai in college. The students of commerce, very enthusiastically displayed their entrepreneurial skills.

Description of the Event:  one of the recent topics of discussion across the nation is “Women Empowerment”. Women are the backbone of the society and they should be treated the way they deserve. Mr. Nishant Jha also addressed the students about vitiligo a condition in which pigment is lost from areas of the skin.
