The Department of Commerce had organised a Webinar on ‘Addiction Free Bharat addressed by Ramnik Bansal who holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay an MBA from IIM Bangalore. The objective of the session was To Raise Awareness among students about Addiction and Treatment Options, To examine the problem of substance abuse and addiction among Youth, To reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness

Description of the Activity:
"Social media is not a media. It is the key is to listen, engage, and build relationships.
The Department organized a webinar with the very talented Mr. Sajjad Khan who is an alumnus of Thakur College of Science & Commerce , titled 'Social Media Interactions'.
He pulled the crowd with his pleasing personality and the ability to solve the queries that learners had . He gave an insight of the life of a social media influencer, their path to success and struggles . Also gave an opportunity to the learners to join him and work in the promising industry. .

Description of the Activity: The Department conducted a webinar on Corporate Governance on 22nd December , 2020 via Zoom platform . Ms. Janki Pandya the speaker of this event enlightened the students about Corporate Governance and its importance and objectives. She also helped the students get a real life perspective on current situation of Indian MNC’S in CORPORATE GOVERNANCE and CSR by sharing her own experience with the students. A total number of 362 students registered and there were 145 participants in this event.

Description of the Activity: Ms. Pooja Shinde began the session by sharing Google form link in the chat box consisting of few questions on Marine pollution. She gave a deep insight on marine pollution. Throughout the session she guided learners about causes of marine pollution and its adverse effects on marine life. At the end of the session she informed about the initiative taken by United Way India to save marine life. The vast experience and knowledge of our guest speaker sensitized the learners about marine pollution and practices that can help to control marine pollution.

Description of the Activity: The Departments flagship event, FUN N FAIR was conducted on 17th April, 2021.The theme of the event was ‘Virtual Vyapaar’ citing to the pandemic situation. It encompassed three sub events – Entrepreneurial Talk, Marketing Mastermind and Yellow Pages Catalogue, conducted on zoom platform. Guest speakers for the day were Mr. SiddhantDugar, CEO (Designer Exports) and Ms. SuhaniVora, Business Developer (D & H India Ltd). The speakers guided the learners on various entrepreneurial avenues available to them and also judged the Marketing Mastermind Competition, wherein the participants presented the developmental strategies of their products. Winners of the Competition were: 1st – Komal Gupta (TYBMM/A/9835), 2nd – Aditya Kamath (TYBMM/B/9920), 3rd – Sylph Jadhav (TYBMM/A/9806). The Yellow Pages Catalogue aimed at providing a platform to the learners of the college for promotion of their products and services.

# Department: Accountancy
1. “FINSCOOP” an annual inter- collegiate quiz competition was organized on 10th September 2020 in which total 221 learners by participated. First prize was bagged by Vedanti Bhaskar Yasaware of Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College Thanedy Patil.
2. “Save Environment – Recycle, Reuse, reduce” was organized on 6th November, 2020 and speaker for the guest lecture is Dr. Frances Vaidya. The webinar has participation of 247 candidates. She focused on the issues related to recycle reuse and reduce.
3. A national level webinar was organized on 10th Dec 2020 on “Human Rights (Indian Perspective)” was delivered by Adv. Vikram Walavalkar. The webinar has participation of 142 candidates. It was completely focussed to spread awareness among learners about the human right specially w.r.t India ideology. The basic principles for a civilized society like equity and quality along with Vedic concepts was discussed to bridge the understanding gap.
4. A webinar on Career Counselling (Orientation Programme for UGC-NET/SET Exam) was organized on 9th January 2021 from 5pm Onwards and it was attended by 98 learners. Mr. Sohil Pirani was the resource person. This lecture was organized specially for post graduate students. The speaker spoke about the various options which are available after their completion of Post Graduation. He also enlightened the learners regarding the options in research and how to clear NET/SET exam.
5. A guidance lecture was conducted on 9th Jan 2021 for National Accounting Talent Search 2020 & 67 learners participated in this. The guidance lecture is for all the learners to guide them about the technical aspects of NATS 2020. The guidance lecture enables learners to analyze and understand various aspect of NATS 2020 like syllabus, registration process, form filing, fess payments, study material and etc. this will help learners to score maximum and have a competitive advantage in the same.
6. Union budget 2020- DECRYPTION OF BUDGET-21 (Education Sector) session was conducted by Mr. Subhash Chandra Chaudhary on 13th februray,2021 for all segment of our college. The session has participation of 86 candidates This lecture made the students aware about the components of budget, preparation of budget, sources of income and expenditure and their proportion.
7. A workshop on E-filling of ITR was organized by the department members on 16th February 2021 for all third year learners and total 127 learners participated in this activity. This activity was all about tax filling. This session helped them to acquire the knowledge of practical implication of tax filling process.
8. A webinar was organized by Department of Accountancy in collaboration with Department of Management Studies on “Changing Business Dynamics: Unique start-ups‘A step towards start-up India for prosperous India” on 24th February 2021. Mr. Joshua Salins was the resource person. The webinar saw approximately 200 participants discussion & support opportunities for Start-ups in the changed scenario, the sudden shift to ‘work from home’ model, ways in which Start ups could step-up and address COVID-19 in their own personal capacities. All the participants enjoyed the session as it was very interactive and interesting.
9. A Guest lecture on MUSIC MANTRA (Importance of Mental Health & Music in our Life) was organized on 26th February 2021. Dr. Ruchi Shrivastav was the resource person. 126 participants attended this activity. Music Mantra taught the learners, how to handle stress with the help of Music.
10. A Webinar on “Encouraging the implementation of productivity tools in Current Scenario” was organized by department members on 1st March 2021, Monday for all TCSC learners. 126 students participated in this webinar. Dr. Raina Champawat was the resource person for this. She was working in CID IB at Govt. of Rajasthan. Currently she is Academic Director at Skill Development & Vocational Training Institute of India. This session helped learners to acquire the knowledge related to current scenario and the opportunities which they can grasp.
11. Gender Sensitization week was celebrated by Department of Accountancy, Commerce, Management Studies & M.com Ecommerce from 15th March 2021 to 21st March 2021. The main purpose for celebrating this event was to make learners and stakeholders aware and sensitize them about all the Gender. Total 439 learners participated in this event. 12. “ACONTE-21”, an inter collegiate competition was organized on 22nd & 23rd March 2021. The event marked the presence of 209 learners from various colleges across the India. The activities were Power Point Presentation, Elocution, Debate & Business Budget.

# Department: Economics
Department of Economics and its De Planning Forum (student association) is the economic powerhouse of the college which tries to promote sound framework of economic consciousness among students and teachers within the institution. Arthsamhita- scripting new lines of equilibrium is the departmental blog which stimulates this consciousness on digital space regularly.
1. Essay writing competition on “World Population Day” was organized on 11th July 2020 to create awareness on issues related to population among the learners of science and commerce. The theme for this year was- Mental Health Care, Sustainable Development Goals.
2. The Ganesh Chaturthi Project was conducted from 20th to 31st August, 2020 for the learners of degree college to understand the consumer perception with respect to the Ganesh festival and diagnose whether consumers are going eco-friendly. This year we also focused on the impact of the festival due to COVID-19.
3. Knowing Mahatma was the online quiz competition was conducted to observe the International day of Non-Violence on 2nd October, 2020. Total 170 students responded, out of that 160 students qualified and awarded with e certificates.
4. An Online Deliberation was conducted on 05th November, 2020, 6 pm onwards which was headlined by Ms. Sarika Rachuri, an eminent economist and Faculty ICFAI business school. The speaker focused on the topic of “Global Recovery and Post Covid 19 and India Will it be L.U,V, or Nike Swoosh” around 124 students and faculties have participated in that event.
5. The Department in association with Department of M.Com (E-Commerce) organized a session on “Perception of Violence” on 3rd February, 2021 where we discussed violence and peace through a movie analysis.
6. The Department has conducted two guest lectures on 17th February and 19th March, 2021 with the aim to enrich the learners about domain and secondary knowledge. Dr. Rajendra Kerkar, Member National Wildlife Board, GOI gave an insightful lecture on Ecotourism while Prof. Rajesh Tayal provided an practical approach of excise and GST.
7. Black Swan: An Unpredictable Labyrinth –The Intercollegiate fiesta held on 9th and 10th April, 2021 had various academic and fun-based activities like Budget-O-Meter (Budget Preparation), Shipwreck (Role Play), Film-O-Nomics (Movie reviews) and Scholastic Decathlon. Mr. Kush Bohra, Wealth Advisor and Author was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Function who spoke about Blackswan Events in Financial Markets.
8. A role play competition “Air Crash” was conducted on 10th April, 2021 where participants impersonated famous personalities in a bid to fetch the last parachute in the scenario of fictitious air crash.
9. Career Counseling Session by Mr. Kush Bohra, a Wealth Advisor, Author enamored the learners with prospective career planning in the field of financial markets on 14th April, 2021.

4. DISCOURSE ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION OF YOUTH
National Integration depends on a wide gamut of ideas, thoughts, values, morals, and beliefs of the Nation. Maintaining unity in the Nation is essential for making it Strong and Self – Reliant. Keeping aside our differences and coming together should be the Mantra we strive to follow. A motivational and inspiring Discourse on Role of Youth in Integration & Development by Mr. Surendra C. Tanna was organised on 19th October, 2020.
The motive was to guide our young citizens in the right direction and help them understand the important role they can play in Nation Building. National Integration bestows peace and harmony upon the nation, being a young and progressive nation, we have the potential to be the leader. 266 Degree College were active participants who got inspired to play a constructive role in National Integration.
5. AWARENESS DRIVE
TCSC ELA initiated an Exceptionally Innovative and Thought-Provoking Awareness Drive against the latest menace of DIGITAL ADDICTION. The objective was to generate Awareness amongst the students & staff about the hazards of being slaves to Digital Gadgets in this Tech Era. A team of dedicated students Activists from Degree & Junior College shared Videos Posters with awareness messages and regularly circulated it on the students’ WhatsApp Groups.
They also created an Instagram Handle - techno. Zombies. Popular hashtags like #digitaladdiction #disconnettoreconnect were used as well as generated to send out the message about the perils of Digital Addiction which unfortunately has become very common especially the youth. Students were made to realize the importance of real life conversations rather than virtual ones and also long term impact of Digital Addiction.
6. “WORDS VERSE” our homage to Wordsworth, a Great Romantic poet, whose has been part of our lives since school. The Poetry Writing Competition was to help all the budding poets to understand their one’s own perspective on National Integration, analyze it and express their feelings through a medium that reaches people’s hearts and is appreciated as a great Art form even today. 7. GENDER AWARENESS & SENSITIVITY
It is time that we all see Gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals. Being sensitive is, very simply but, being appreciative of others’ feelings is necessary. In that context, Gender Sensitivity is about being considerate of the opposite Gender’s feelings. It is not only limited to Men and Women anymore it's about all including the whole LGBTQ Community. It's high time we understand them and treat them with the respect they deserve.
Understanding the Relevance of the Issue and to generate Awareness about it as much we can ELA organised a Webinar on Gender Awareness & Sensitivity on 28th November 2020. Ms. Mina Tilakraj, a Life Trainer and an Inner Power Optimizer elucidated this very sensitive subject in an expert manner to all the 192 Degree College learners.
8.ETHICS, VALUES & YOUTH

Corruption is a complex social, political and economic phenomenon which affects all countries. No region, community, or country is immune to Corruption. To educate the people on issues of Corruption which can undermine Social and Economic Development in all societies across the Globe and to Commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day on 9th December 2020 a Discourse was organised. Mr. Devendra Pai, a Young and Dynamic Social Entrepreneur & Academician conducted an Interactive Session in which 176 enthusiastic learners participated.
9. “MOTTO DESIGN” - To bring out the Inner Artist in our young learners ELA organised a Poster Making & Slogan Writing Competition on 31st January, 2021. 22 Artistically Talented Designers enunciated their ideas and imaginations through Handmade & Digital Posters on themes based on current and socially relevant issues like:

11. ALUMNI CONNECT
An Enriching Session on “Public Relations & the Art of Confidence” for the Degree College learners on 2nd March 2021. Ms. Amreen Luthra, CEO - Founder at Amreen Luthra Training Systems & an Alumnus was the Resource Person. She elaborated the various facets of Public Relations and its importance in the contemporary times. She also enlightened the listeners about the value of Effective Communication Skills and how it can lead to success in all areas of life. Ms. Luthra made the session interesting and lively by involving the learners in various activities which made the process of learning fun. Ms. Amreen Luthra concluded the interaction with Q & A session.

ELA B & M REVIEW CLUB –To celebrate International Women’s Day and to pay tribute to all the Women Achievers for their Sacrifices, Struggles and Success a Movie Screening Session was organised on 8th March 2021. An Inspirational & Thought Provoking Movie - On the Basis of Sex, based on the life of Ms Ruth Bader Ginsburg, A Women's Right Activist & Former US SUPREME COURT Judge, was screened followed by a Review Session.
13. SOFT SKILLS WORKSHOP A 2 Day Workshop on Soft Skills for all the Degree College learners was organised by the Dept. of Business communication in association with the Dept. of BBI. On 9th & 10th March 2021. Prof. Amlan Aravali, the Trainer, conducted 2 Engaging Sessions on INTERVIEW TACTICS & RESUME DESIGNING for almost 400 learners. He conducted practical sessions by involving the learners, on how to effectively ace the Job Interviews & how to Design an impressive Resume. The Knowledge & Skills imparted by him was very much appreciated by all the participants.

Youth are the future of our Country and Society, as such it is imperative that they have a Holistic Development and with that in mind, ELA in collaboration with Dept. of B. Com. Hons. & DLLE organised a Webinar on Value Education on 8th April 2021. Dr. Soundarajan, HOD, Value Education Department at TNTELI, Chennai was the Resource Person. He enunciated the Importance of Value Education in a student’s life and that it leads to their training to face the real world with the right attitude and ethics.
17. AUTISM AWARENESS WEBINAR
In an effort to promote AUTISM AWARENESS amongst the staff & students of TCSC, ELA in collaboration with the TCSC FLAMINGO CLUB organised an AWARENESS WEBINAR on 20th April 2021.The month of April is observed as AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH, internationally with the goal to spread awareness, promote acceptance, and ignite change. Mr. Anand Kumtha, HOD, Mathematics, Statistics & Computers, K. P. B. Hinduja College of Commerce was the Resource Person for the Eye Opening Session. He explained in detail what AUTISM is and also busted some of the Myths associated with it. The FORUM FOR AUTISM, a wide knowledge-network of parents and professionals provided support for organizing the WEBINAR which was appreciated by all the Degree & Junior College attendees.

1. International Democracy Day Quiz : 15.Sep.2020
“What is really needed to make democracy function is not knowledge of facts, but right education”. Dept of Law along with IQAC Dept organized a Quiz competition. These is on this date, United Nations (UN) General Assembly passed a resolution in 2007 that September 15 of each year would be observed as the International Day of Democracy. Their goal for this day is to promote government’s role in maintaining open democracy among all member nations of the UN Charter and to celebrate the system of values democracy promotes, giving citizens the power to make decisions regarding all aspects of their lives. To know and get understanding of this historic date Quiz organized for participants. Total number 483 participant appeared for the quiz .
2. Constitution Day Pledge : 26.Nov.2020
Dept of Law organized a pledge taking exercise for citizen of the country which is Constitution Day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas'. 26 November has its own importance in the history of independent India because on this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted and it came into effect on 26 January, 1950. Therefore, marking the dawn of a new era. To acknowledge the contribution of the framers of the Constitution and to aggravate the people regarding the prominent values, 26 November is celebrated as the 'Constitution Day'. Reading of the Preamble to the Constitution is an important part of the celebrations and reaffirming our commitment to upholding its ideology. The response of 193 citizen received who read the pledge and took the pledge.
3. Constitution Day Quiz : 26.Nov.2020
Dept of Law organized a Quiz to recognize the importance of the Day as Inhabitant this Country.The Constitution of India declares India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assuring its citizen's justice, equality, and liberty and endeavours to promote fraternity.
The Indian Constitution describes the fundamental political code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of the government institutions. It also explains fundamental rights, directive principles, and the duties of citizens. India’s constitution is the longest written constitution in the world. It took around 2 years, 11 months, and 17 days to complete the Constitution. Therefore, Constitution Day of India is celebrated on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. Quiz was organised by department to Law know the knowledge citizen hold about this Historic day . Total 434 participants gave responses to Quiz.
4. Social Justice Day : 20.Feb.2021
On the occasion of Social justice day on Feb 20, 2021 Department of Law organized Webinar on RTI to Swaraj and Timely Social Justice in India. Guest Lecturer Sri Shailesh Gandhi ,noted RTI activist and Nana Palkhiwala award winner , shared his insight and Purpose of pursuing his journey in this noble cause .Eternal vigilance is the price for democracy. Through RTI, activists have been persuading the government to put most information on the website . We must get accountability from our government by using RTI. Citizen's duty does not end with voting; in fact, that's where it begins. This is 'rule of the people, by the people, for the people'. The citizens fulfil their role as the rulers of the nation by using RTI thus towards timely Justice for society. Total attendees stood at 263 for the webinar .
5. Life Journey of Women Entrepreneur: 03. Mar.2021 ( In Collaboration with WDC)
On the upcoming occasion of Women’s day , TCSC organized
Webinar on 3 Mar’ 21, Life Journey of Women Entrepreneur ( Women Empowerment ).The Department of Law arranged Young Women Entrepreneur Ms Ankita Shroff from Pune .The session was attended by 193 participants .

arranged a webinar on "WOMEN'S RIGHT UNDER INDIAN LAW” . Adv. Puneet Chaturvedi was Guest lecturer for the subject. . Shri Puneet Chaturvedi is a practicing lawyer for the last 29 years. He belongs to a family of lawyers for four generations. Sir Puneet Chaturvedi believes every right comes with a responsibility towards people’s sensitivities. He believes that people understand the fine line between honest criticism and deliberately provocative material. He discussed on gender equality in a society wherein both women and men enjoy the same opportunities, rights and obligations in different spheres of life. Equality in decision making, economic and social freedom, equal access to education and right to practice an occupation of one’s choice. In order to promote gender equality , we need to the empowerment of women, and concentrate on areas which are most crucial to her well being. Women’s empowerment, economic, social, political, is vital to growth of any nation and to protect and nurture human rights. He discussed some Constitutional rights available to women in India. Total attendees stood at 110.
7. “Lawtitude 2021”: 31.Mar.2021
Dept. of Law organized to host its annual event “Lawtitude” for the consecutive 3nd year. This event was on the topic which is on political and moral correctness with respect of real situation Agriculture Law and New Law introduced – Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act. This time department organized the Event Online due to Covid:19 . The chief guest and honorable judge for the event Mr. Siddarth K ( HOD) , HDFC Financial services welcomed by host. In total , 29 students were present.
The feeling of TV news room , Anchor and Participants created enthusiastic atmosphere . This made the success of the Event. The judge appreciated the quality of matter debated and appreciated Institution for conducting such event in very professional way. He gave brief about his understanding about the new law, current need of time for Farmers and MSP issue. All participant was well prepared with topics.

3. One Day National Conference :- Department of Environmental Studies, Botany, & IQAC of Thakur College of Science and Commerce - TCSC [Autonomous], Kandivali, Mumbai in collaboration with the University of Mumbai had organized One - Day National Conference on “Sustainable Development: A Green Approach [NCSDGA] 2021” on Saturday, 6th March 2021. The conference was mainly supported by NABARD. The other cosponsors were Speed International India Pvt. Ltd. Chemical Manufacturing and My Green Society.
Dr. (Mrs.) Anuradha Majumdar; Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology, University of Mumbai was the Chief Guest while Ms. Tiakala AO, General Manager, Department of Economic Analysis & Research, NABARD Head Office, Mumbai was the Guest of Honour for the Inaugural Function.

Saptarshi, Eminent Professor, Sustainability Management, Indian Institute of Coast and Management Studies & Research, Pune delivered the keynote address while Mr. Dev Balaji, Advisor & Trainer, Karnataka State Ecotourism Board and Prof. (Dr.) Moushumi Datta, Professor (Geography) & Vice Principal, NL College, Malad, Mumbai delivered invited talks.

Webinar :- On 9th & 10th March 2021, a Webinar cum Guest Lecture on ‘Value Education’ was conducted by Swami Ras Parayana Das (Civil Engineer & Iskcon Preacher) via Zoom Platform (Online Mode).Causes of stress & ways to handle,tackle them in life were explained.Causes of sad situation in life,concept of soul & importance of spiritual leader was conveyed.Power of time, importance of- hard work,self discipline & respect towards elders was also explained in it. This webinar was attended by 200 Learners overall.

Intercollegiate Competition :- An Intercollegiate Competition, ‘Paryavaran Mitravat’ was organized on 26th March 2021, An inauguration session was carried out via- Guest lecture of Dr. Parvish Pandya,(Consultant-Sanctuary Nature Foundation) on the theme ‘Time for Nature’,via Zoom Platform ,in online mode.An insight of India’s Biodiversity was given by displaying flora & fauna of Biogeographic Zones.Information of medicinally important plants was given.Ecological role of social insects like-Ants, Honeybees,Causes of Biodiversity Extinction, Problems of Urbanisation,Green Lifestyle & Solutions for Biodiversity extinction were explained.It was attended by 70 Participants.
