Activities & Events Conducted in Academic Year 2024-2025



B.Com. (Digital Business) Program was introduced from the Academic Year 2022-2023 with

its curriculum designed to provide insights into modern businesses and to convert business ideas into startup ventures with the help of digital platforms. The Program allows participants to learn about emerging technologies and leverage it to design, build, and manage Digital Businesses. The curriculum provides an excellent opportunity to learn practical aspects of Digital Business through Internships and Projects with the help of Industry Experts thereby enriching the overall learning experience.




“La Fiesta”, Freshers Party 2024-2025 was organized to welcome the First-Year learners of B.Com. (International Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Digital Business and Service Industry Management) on 25th July, 2024. The event featured a blend of musical performances, dance and fashion show where the participants showcased their unique styles. This was followed by the crowning of Mr. and Miss Fresher.


Guest Lecture on the theme “LinkedIn Insights” was conducted on 3rd August, 2024. Resource Person Mr. Jay Dattani, Mentor and Trainer and Team Lead, Business Partnerships at Indian Institute of Digital Education (IIDE), Mumbai gave strategic insights on LinkedIn’s crucial role in professional networking, job search functionality, personal branding for profile optimisation and for business growth. Mr. Dattani stressed on the need for an optimised profile and digital credentials to effectively showcase on LinkedIn profile. He gave a comprehensive understanding of the key LinkedIn statistics and the importance of this pivotal platform driving engagement for professionals and businesses. Insights on LinkedIn’s powerful tools and features helped the 45 participating learners to effectively leverage LinkedIn for their career advancement, professional relationships and business growth.


Guest Lecture on “Effective Networking Skills For Gen Z” was conducted on 6th September, 2024 to underscore the need for networking as an essential skill in today’s interconnected world. Resource Person Ms. Ranjan Upadhyay, Director, Placements, Indian Institute of Digital Education (IIDE), Mumbai threw light on Gen Z’s unique strengths and challenges faced during networking. She emphasised on using digital tools effectively while honing interpersonal skills to build meaningful connections to create a professional network. A total of 30 learners benefited from this session as they learnt crucial networking tips to accelerate their business and career development while successfully navigating the world of professional relationships.




Departments of B. Com. (Digital Business, Entrepreneurship and Service Industry Management) jointly organized a Poetry Recitation Competition titled “भाषा समागम (Bhasha Samagam)” on 13th September, 2024. It marked the unique symphony of languages of India as an expression of shared dreams, hopes and aspirations for a united India. Under Bhasha Samagam initiative, the participants gained a multilingual exposure of various Indian languages thereby enhancing linguistic tolerance, mutual respect and spirit of national integration. A total of 30 learners participated in this competition and the following were declared as winners:

Departments of B. Com. (Digital Business, Entrepreneurship and Service Industry Management) jointly organised a Reel Making Competition on the theme “Redefining Gender Roles and Rewriting Social Norms” on 17th September, 2024.  This competition was organised to catalyse the energy, activism and ideas of young learners towards redefining gender roles and social norms. This competition witnessed 15 participating teams extending their support for gender equality and equal participation in all areas of life through their impactful reels. Through their insightful reflections, the participating teams highlighted the shift in the perceptions regarding gender roles while exploring the concept of gender equality. The following were declared as winners:

Beach Cleanup Activity with the objective of instilling environmental consciousness was organised on 21st September, 2024 at Juhu Beach, Mumbai with 25 Digital Business learners. This cleanup initiative raised awareness about marine pollution while also fostering teamwork and community engagement. It sparked meaningful conversations about environment and sustainability as several learners shared their experiences and spread awareness on the social media platforms. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s CARRE (Connecting All to Respect and Recreate Environment) initiative.





Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Masterclass held on 18th January, 2025 aimed to provide a comprehensive introduction to SEO which is an essential digital marketing skill. A total of 25 F.Y.B.Com. (Digital Business) learners attended the SEO Masterclass. The workshop was designed to equip the participants with foundational SEO knowledge that they can apply to personal and professional projects while creating an effective SEO strategy. Mr. Rahil Mulla, Business Manager, Puretech Digital, Mumbai was the Resource Person for this Masterclass. In this session, learners understood the key SEO concepts, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link-building strategies. Mr. Mulla provided valuable foundation to the participants equipping them with essential knowledge and practical strategies to improve website visibility and performance. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s STEP (Skill and Talent Enhancement Programme) initiative.



Placement Orientation Session was conducted on 18th January, 2025 to provide an overview of the placement process and prepare the learners for the upcoming opportunities. A total of 25 learners from the Department attended the session gaining requisite knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the placement process confidently. Ms. Ranjan Upadhyay, Director, Placements, Indian Institute of Digital Education, Mumbai was the Resource Person for the Session. The session aimed to help the learners understand the steps involved in securing internships and job placements, with a focus on building essential skills, networking, and resume development. By the end of the placement orientation session, learners gained valuable insights about the job market, company expectations, and essential skills including interview techniques and professional behaviour positively impacting their current position and future career pursuits.






Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Masterclass was conducted by Mr. Kartik Mittal, SEO Specialist and Corporate Trainer, Mumbai on 15th February, 2025 to enable the participants to optimize website content for the best possible search engine rankings. Mr. Mittal explored the theory behind Google search and other search engine algorithms including on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO tools, local SEO strategy and SEO best practices to improve on-page optimization efforts. A total of 29 learners from the Department attended the SEO Masterclass gaining crucial insights to improve a website’s performance on search engines and its alignment with the overall business strategies. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s STEP (Skill and Talent Enhancement Programme) initiative.
