Department of B.Com (Digital Business) - Activities & Events in 2023-24


B.Com (Digital Business) Program was introduced from the Academic Year 2022-2033 with Curriculum designed with view to provide insights into modern business aspects, which will help learners to transform their traditional business to modern business & converting business ideas into startup ventures with the help of digital platform. Curriculum provides an opportunity to learners to Learn the practical aspect of Digital Business with help of Industry Experts support in enriching learning experience with practical learning with Internship & live projects.


Activity: Poster Making Competition

The Department of B. Com (Digital Business, Entrepreneurship & Service Industry Management) organized a Poster Making Competition on “Atmanirbhar Bharat” on 14th August, 2023. A total 61 Learners participated enthusiastically in this competition. The Posters were presented on theme of India’s Freedom Movement, Vision for India’s Amrit Kaal, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam highlighted the Atmanirbhar Bharat under new dimensions. 


Activity: Workshop on Soft Skill Training

A Workshop on Soft Skill Training was organized for Learners of Digital Business Department on 29th August,2023. Ms. Ayesha Mohta, Soft Skill Trainer, Public Speaking Coach, IIDE, took the workshop to teach the different aspects of Soft Skills & its importance to Learners. The workshop covered topics like – How to control other People’s thoughts about us, Importance of Communication Skills – Verbal & Non-Verbal, Effective Communication through Non-Verbal approach (Body Language), etc. The Workshop helped the learners to understand the importance of Communication Skill & Styles. Ms. Ayesha covered the topics with practical approaches likes Role Play, Games, Interaction & Peer to Peer Learning. 



Activity: Guest Lecture on Social Media Profile (LinkedIn)

The two-hour LinkedIn session covered a range of topics focused on maximizing the platform for professional networking and career development. The session began with an overview of profile optimization, emphasizing the importance of a compelling headline, summary, and the use of keywords for visibility.

Participants learned strategies for building a strong professional network, including effective connection requests and personalized messages. The session delved into the power of content creation and sharing, exploring best practices for creating engaging posts, articles, and videos to showcase expertise and connect with the audience.

The importance of active engagement on the platform was highlighted, with discussions on participating in groups, commenting on relevant content, and leveraging LinkedIn features such as polls and events. Additionally, the session provided insights into leveraging LinkedIn for job searches, including optimizing the job-seeking feature and using the platform for research and networking within target industries.

Overall, the two-hour session aimed to equip participants with practical tips and strategies to enhance their LinkedIn presence, build meaningful professional connections, and leverage the platform for career advancement.





Activity: Master Class on Website Planning & Development
