Activities & Events conducted in year 2015-16

JASHN 2015-16

This event was held on July 2015 in auditorium of the college.  This event is an freshers party to all the learners of the BAF department, this fest is named as jashn which was themed- comic con this year , where every body was made to wear the super hero attire and show off their hidden talent. This event has the flow starting with the national anthem followed by welcome dance, other dances by seniors and fashion shows as well as mr and miss freshers contest for the academic year. Every time the themes are chosen in such a way that a message is being delivered to all. This time as the theme was “COMIC-CON” the message was that “ everyone is a hero in their own way , it is not necessary to dress up like one.” This message was delivered to all in a positive way 479 Students Participated. Learners got hands on experience of Marketing, Finance, Costing, Budgeting etc.

MANTRA

The MANTRA 2015 was organized by department of BBI and BAF . It was an educational seminar. The students of BBI attended the following seminar held on 19 Sept 2015. It was an event managed as a quiz competition for intra college students and faculty for knowledge exchange and career guiding for all participants. Every event starts with the blessing of lord so at beginning prayers and diya lighting was done by our respected vice principals and prayers was recited and further national anthem was sung paying respect and patriotism towards our country. The event later proceeded by honoring all our guest of honor as well as flowers were given . The guest of speakers for the seminar were Jitendra Nair, Gajendra nair, Sachin sir and Bhavin Patel 374 Students Participated in this event. Learners got hands on experience of Marketing, Finance, Costing, Budgeting etc. also value addition among students regarding Social & Spiritual Wellness and Cyber Security.

BE A FINANCER

Be a financer was held on January 2016- it was a financial quiz held by the department of accounting and finance which was an inter college festival . More than 30 college participated this financial quiz where people shared their knowledge and ideas. It was enjoyed by all the students and the event flow consisted of logo game, question and answer round, iq level test etc. Learners got hands on experience of Marketing, Finance, Costing, Budgeting etc. also value addition among students regarding game, question and answer round, iq level test etc.

BHAVISHYA 2016

BHAVISHYA was held on 18th February 2016, it was an international conference organized and managed by the department of accounting and finance . It was a research and development seminar and guest lecture organized for the year. The topic for the research was scaling the new heights for higher education where many papers were presented and published, the problems in education and the solution was clarified more then 800 participations from across India & Outside India. Learners got hands on experience of Marketing, Finance, Costing, Budgeting etc. also value addition among students regarding Research and Research related work and activities etc.

TARKASH 2015

Tarkash is an event of recognizing your caliber and potential. It included cultural events, literature events , brain storming or other activities which may motivate the children to do something with joy and fun . It is an intra college festival established in the year 2011 in Thakur college of science and commerce to enhance the potential of an individual student.
A meeting was assembled for all the cultural committees and leaders along with their teacher incharges to conduct this event . This event is based on contingent i.e there are 11 contingent in the college of various department . The team was divided into pool section where we belong to pool E; Pool E was the merger of three department, they are: BAF, BMM & BMS. Our theme was “The great Indian cities” and we belong to the city of “Chandigarh” 331 Students Participated. It was a very fun event enjoyed by all, and left us with memories of wanting more. Learners got hands on experience of Marketing, Finance, Costing, Budgeting etc.

FIFO - 2016

This event was held on 21st February 2016 in the auditorium of the college .  This event is an farewell party to all the seniors of the batch ie TYBAF of the BAF department this fest is named as FIFO which was themed as –OSCAR’S NIGHT, students were felicitated, appreciated and addressed by all the teachers and HoD  for their academic year achievement 503 Students Participated in this event. Learners got hands on experience of Budgeting, Marketing, Finance, Finacial Manegemt, Costing etc.

TREE PLANTATION

BAF is known for its social work. Every time it comes up with some new and innovative ways. So this time we thought of coming up with tree plantation. As we know that the trees are being cut down in order to build up more buildings and apartments due to which there is a rise in global warming and pollution. So our co-ordinater Dr. Nishikantjha and some more students decided to plant some trees in their building. They took the permission of their societies to plant trees in their bulding in order to spread a message of planting trees and saving our environment.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Industrial visit was planned after Bhavishya 2015 ended. The industrial visit was planned for 19thfeb, 2016 to 23rdfeb, 2016. BBI and BAF department of Thakur college of science and commerce went to an industrial visit to Ahmedabad and mount abu. It was a really good experience, the aura of the place was really good and we had a lot of fun. We had visited PARLE-G factory where we saw the manufacturing and making of PARLE-G biscuits. Not only this we had a lot of fun with friends and teachers as well. This was a trip which none of the FY, SY AND TY could ever forget.
