He is registered as a Trainer with NISM & Mr Sanjay Nunes (Asst. Manager-CDSL), he had worked with Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (MSE), he also conducts awareness programmes across Pan India and spreading the awareness about financial literacy from the depository point of view in particular and other capital market initiatives. 158 students attended the session.

GST workshop was conducted on 13th Jan 22. The main aim of this workshop was to enlighten all the UG students of Commerce stream. The workshop was conducted by BAF Students. The students shared the knowledge about GST to various stakeholders along with its implications as it is the biggest tax reform system in India. The stream was divided into 5 main streams: Introduction, Rates, Registration, Input Tax credit, & Conclusion. 273 students attended the workshop.

Dept Of BAF took an initiativeand conducted social work activity to paint the boards at Borivali Railway Station Panels and cleaning the walls at Borivali Station. The Students of FY and SY were actively involved in conducting this activity.The permission was granted by Mr Saurabh Kumar, Divisional Commercial Manager, Divisional office, Mumbai Central for beautification at Borivali Railway Station. Slogans promoting social welfare and the paintings were based on social themes. By this activity, organised by TCSC BAF Dept. the message was clearly spread among the citizens about their responsibility, the students gained lot of knowledge through conducting this activity also the students were made alert regarding cleanliness and also their social responsibilities apart from academics.
NGO Wall Painting

The Students of BAF Department of Thakur College of Science and Commerce did a social work activity dated on 22/03/22 to paint the walls of NGO named “Child Help Foundation” located at Mira Road in Mumbai city on the occasion of “World Water Day (22nd March)”. 20 Students of BAF Department actively participated in painting the walls of NGO. Industrial Visit
Dept of BAF Conducted an I.V for its students after pandemic of the batch of 21-22. IV for FY Students was taken to Mahabaleshwar from 7th March to 9th March. The students visited Pure Gold Cheese Factory where they learned how Syrups, jams, and cheese are manufactured and preserved. The students were also taken to Mapro Garden where they saw the Mapro outlet and the Mapro Garden Strawberry Plantation. The students also did horse riding, and Boating.
Industrial Visit for SY & TY Students was taken to Amritsar, Dharamshala, Kullu Manali and Chandigarh from 3rd to 12th April 2022. The students visited Jallian wala bagh , evening parade at Attari border , Golden temple, Dalai Lama temple, Mcleodganj church, Hidimba temple, River rafting in Manali, Rock garden where different statues were made of rock. and made an industrial visit to a Sai Shawl factory where students were showed the complete process of the making of the shawl and how they are supplied in the markets.

The BAF Department organized Summit on 25th February 2022. This was the first event after the pandemic period which was conducted offline and around 100 students pulled up their socks and participated in the event. The event was divided into two parts– MUN and budget. MUN (Model United Nation), at MUN conference, students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. Subject matter in MUN was Gender Equality in India. The next event was Budget, a budget is an estimation of revenue and expenses over a specified future period of time and is utilized by governments, businesses, & individuals. Likewise, here students were given budget for the current year & were asked to prepare the budget for next year and state the reasons why were the difference between the figures in previous year, current year.

MUN’21 was organized by BAF department, an interactive session, where all the students from different courses participated. Ms. Ella Gaglani, who is a faculty of BBI department, TCSC; was the judge of the event. And Ms. Reekita Fernandes (faculty of BAF department) was on the chair. Each team was allotted a country, and they had to address and find solutions to the problems relating to Gender Equity in their respective country. Total 8 teams participated in the event, each team also submitted the petition made by them of their respective country, for MUN’21. The event was held on 27th September 2021. The event was conducted online through Zoom platform.
Mangroves
Event : “Causes & Effects of Mangroves depletion & their Impact on Environment”

The BAF Department of Thakur College organized an event on a social cause. The name of the event was “Causes & Effects of Mangroves depletion & their Impact on Environment”. The event was conducted on an online platform Zoom on 17th February, 2022 which was attended by approx. 100 participants. The speaker for the event were Mr. and Mrs Nushrat Khatri (Recipient of President award). The session was started by Mrs. Khatri speaking about the causes of the depletion of mangroves. The speaker not only highlighted the causes but also explained the effects of mangroves depletion. She then explained how to save Mangroves forest.
Mentoring for Certificate courses
Dept of BAF conducted a mentoring session for FY BAF students on 17th Jan 22. The objective of conducting the mentoring session was to help students know the importance of certificate courses and how it adds value to the learner. Total 115 FYBAF students attended the session.
