  1. ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION

The Department of Banking and Insurance, EVS and FC organized Ecological Restoration from 5th June to 11th June, 2021 – A 7 Days Inter College Event to celebrate the world environmental day, which was started on 5th June, 1974 to celebrate "ecosystem restoration" to inspire students and learn more about our environment. The aim was to create awareness about the environment and the disturbances that humans have caused to the earth. The participants were provided E-Certificates.

  1. STOCK MINDS: A VIRTUAL STOCK EXCHANGE PLATFORM

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “Stockminds – A Virtual Stock Exchange Platform” on 26/06/2021. With a view to provide exposure to the students in the area of financial markets, Mr. Ravinder Singh Chawla (Designation: Management consultant, financial planner) addressed the participants on the importance of investing and investment opportunities available in the stock market. He further spoke about the various capital markets in India and explained the risk management method through which investors can identify and analyze risk for various trading decisions. Lastly Mr. Ravinder Singh Chawla asked the participants to raise their doubts and motivated them for investing.

This event was organized to make understand the importance and spread awareness about insurance and its benefits in our daily life.   1. KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS 

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS”, a four day event which began on 26th of July to honor the Kargil martyrs. The events were; Webinar, Video Quiz, Art Mania, Unity in Diversity. Col. Nisar Seethi was the speaker for the webinar where he explained the difficult training that every soldier undergoes to become reliable, fearless and disciplined. ‘Video Quiz’ and ‘Art Mania’ were conducted online through Google Form and Google Classroom respectively. ‘Unity in Diversity’ had winning criteria: students made a video of themselves in their mother tongue and gave the message of Cultural Unity.

  1. GANDHI AND COMMUNALISM

The Department of Investment Management & Banking & Insurance collaboratively conducted a webinar on Communalism. It was held on 7th September, 2021 at 11 am. The resource person for the session was Mr. Ram Puniyani, Former professor at IIT Bombay, Chairman at Centre for the study of society and secularism Mumbai. He has contributed to the field through his book- Caste and Communalism and is a receiver of awards- National Communal Harmony Award & Mukund C. Menon Award.  The speaker, Mr. Ram Puniyani spoke on the history of communalism. Communalism is a political philosophy that integrates communal ownership of highly localized independent communities. The event was well attended by students of various departments who gained insights on communalism.

  1. FLOWER WASTE MANAGEMENT

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized FLOWER WASTE MANAGEMENT on 8th October, 2021. The session was all about how to manage or how to not waste the flowers after celebrating festivals by Mr. Sanjeev Said. He has started his own NGO called Nirmalyamukti Project in association with MCGM and NSS Unit of TCSC in 2015. He shown some of their project videos how they manage all the waste flowers.

Department of Banking and Insurance organized “INTERNATIONAL BANKING FRAUD AWARENESS WEEK”  from 22nd November to 27th November, to create a sense of awareness among today’s youth regarding various types of frauds prevalent in the surrounding to understand the Risk Factors in the Banking sector and how we can tackle them using innovative ideas and also to make the participants learn about the frauds by giving them an opportunity to bring out their creativity.   1. NATIONAL VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEKfrom 27th to 29th October, 2021 on the eve of 146th Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The theme for the event was “Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity”. Pledge Recitation, webinar and Case Study Analysis were the events conducted. The speaker for the webinar was Mr. Kamlakar Ratnakar Shenoy (B.COM, Hotelier) The event was held on Zoom Platform. In the webinar, Mr. Kamlakar Shenoy spoke about generating awareness about the ill effects of corruption.

  1. ACADEMIC RESEARCH WORKSHOP.

“TWO DAYS ACADEMIC RESEARCH WORKSHOP” was organized on 1st and 2nd December, 2021 for all third year learners for the guidance of black book project. Speaker Mrs Poonam Kakkad (Designation: Assistant Professor) discussed how to work on research, how to select a research topic, how to do a survey and take, etc. She also shared a video on how to write references using “Zotero” and “Trinika” for grammar check. She shared her guidance material to the learners through padlet.com. The session was informative as well as interactive which really helped learners in getting knowledge about Research Paper.

The Department of Banking and Insurance & Department of Financial Markets organized a webinar on “ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS” on 24th December, 2021. A Webinar on First Foot Forward was conducted by two fine speakers, Mr. Kushal Trivedi (Founder & CEO Of multiple award winning startups) and Akshay Garg (Startup mentor & Strategic Business Consultant). This session guided the students about entrepreneurship and also helped the once wish to do a startup. In the webinar, important points like how one should create his/her profile, what presentation skills one should have and how to manage our finances smartly etc. were covered.   1. BANKING & INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “BANKING & INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP 2022” on 22nd, January, 2022 for the learners. It was a One Day event which was divided into 3 sessions. During the 1st session, Mrs. Madhuri Sharma [Faculty (Non life), Insurance Institute of India) covered ‘Insurance Documentation’ with a view to enhance the importance of the Documentation of Insurance i.e. slips, cover notes, policies, certificates, etc. In the 2nd session, Mr. Ravindra Singh Chawla (Founder & Managing Partner at RSC Skillbuilding and Consulting Solutions Ltd.) focused on ‘Life Insurance Documentation’. He covered Underwriting, Risk Factors involved in Life Insurance and how to overcome them. The case study made the concept more understandable. In the 3rd session, Mr. Tarun Tandon (Senior Manager, HDBC Bank) highlighted the ‘Process of Banking Documentation’, importance of Know Your Customer and Types of Documents.

  1. DANDI MARCH & ITS IMPORTANCE IN CURRENT SCENARIO

Webinar on “DANDI MARCH” was organized on 4thApril, 2022. Dr. Subhash Chandra Roy (M.A.(English.), LL.M, Ph.D. (English), Ph.D.(Law:IPRs) Professor (Law), Dean-Research and Development, Director, Centre for innovation, Research & Facilitation(CIRF) in Intellectual Property for Humanity & Development(IPHD) Co-Coordinator IQAC) was the chief guest of the session. This event was organized to make people understand the importance and spread awareness about the importance of the Dandi March to Mahatma Gandhi also its importance in the current scenario. There was a webinar on Dandi March. Each participant was provided E-Certificates.
