1. ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION

The Department of Banking and Insurance, EVS and FC organized Ecological Restoration from 5th June to 11th June, 2021 – A 7 Days Inter College Event to celebrate the world environmental day, which was started on 5th June, 1974 to celebrate "ecosystem restoration" to inspire students and learn more about our environment. The aim was to create awareness about the environment and the disturbances that humans have caused to the earth. The participants were provided E-Certificates.

2. STOCK MINDS: A VIRTUAL STOCK EXCHANGE PLATFORM

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “Stockminds – A Virtual Stock Exchange Platform” on 26/06/2021. With a view to provide exposure to the students in the area of financial markets, Mr. Ravinder Singh Chawla (Designation: Management consultant, financial planner) addressed the participants on the importance of investing and investment opportunities available in the stock market. He further spoke about the various capital markets in India and explained the risk management method through which investors can identify and analyze risk for various trading decisions. Lastly Mr. Ravinder Singh Chawla asked the participants to raise their doubts and motivated them for investing.

3. NATIONAL INSURANCE AWARENESS DAY

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “NATIONAL INSURANCE AWARENESS DAY” on 28th June, 2021. This event was organized to make understand the importance and spread awareness about insurance and its benefits in our daily life. It aimed at disseminating knowledge about insurance and its benefits to all the learners. There were 4 events in total. Out of 4, winning criteria was there for 3 events. 5. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

6. BANKING NATIONALISATION DAY’21

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “BANKING NATIONALISATION DAY i.e., 4 DAY NATIONAL LEVEL EVENT” on 19th July, 2021 to 22nd July, 2021. This is the 8th year we celebrated this event. A CLs MEET (Contingent Leader’s Meet) was organized where all the representatives of different colleges in India were invited on 9th July, 2021. The participants were provided E-Certificates. 7. KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS 

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS”, a four day event which began on 26th of July to honor the Kargil martyrs. The events were; Webinar, Video Quiz, Art Mania, Unity in Diversity. Col. Nisar Seethi was the speaker for the webinar where he explained the difficult training that every soldier undergoes to become reliable, fearless and disciplined. ‘Video Quiz’ and ‘Art Mania’ were conducted online through Google Form and Google Classroom respectively. ‘Unity in Diversity’ had winning criteria: students made a video of themselves in their mother tongue and gave the message of Cultural Unity.

8. BHARAT KI AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV

Four Days National Level Events was organized from 12th August, 2021 to 15th August, 2021.This was the 1st Year we have celebrated this event. 10. GANDHI AND COMMUNALISM

The Department of Investment Management & Banking & Insurance collaboratively conducted a webinar on Communalism. It was held on 7th September, 2021 at 11 am. The resource person for the session was Mr. Ram Puniyani, Former professor at IIT Bombay, Chairman at Centre for the study of society and secularism Mumbai. He has contributed to the field through his book- Caste and Communalism and is a receiver of awards- National Communal Harmony Award & Mukund C. Menon Award.  The speaker, Mr. Ram Puniyani spoke on the history of communalism. Communalism is a political philosophy that integrates communal ownership of highly localized independent communities. The event was well attended by students of various departments who gained insights on communalism.

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized Career Opportunities in Insurance Sector on 14th August, 2021. The Department of Banking and Insurance organized GENDER SENSITIZATION on 2nd September, 2021. 14. FLOWER WASTE MANAGEMENT

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized FLOWER WASTE MANAGEMENT on 8th October, 2021. The session was all about how to manage or how to not waste the flowers after celebrating festivals by Mr. Sanjeev Said. He has started his own NGO called Nirmalyamukti Project in association with MCGM and NSS Unit of TCSC in 2015. He shown some of their project videos how they manage all the waste flowers.

15. PRESENT SCENARIO OF BFSI SECTOR

The Department of Banking & Insurance conducted a webinar on the Present Scenario of BFSI sector. Held on 16th October, 2021 at 11am, honorable Mr. Manohar Puranik, Financial Education Counselor with ICICI Foundation for inclusive growth, imparted information on the topic. The speaker spoke on the current status of BFSI sector. Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) is an industry term for companies that provide a range of such financial products or services. 16. HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM NEW AGE BANKING FRAUDS

Department of Banking and Insurance organized WEBINAR ON NEW AGE BANKING FRAUDS on 20th November, 2021. There were 61 participants. And the 2nd speaker for the session was Mr. Santosh Shetty [Senior Vice-President & Vertical Sales Distribution Head (PAN INDIA), Kotak Mahindra Bank] who discussed on the topic “Banking / Financial Frauds” This session was helpful for the learners as it was informative, motivational and an interactive session.

18. INTERNATIONAL BANKING FRAUD AWARENESS WEEK

Department of Banking and Insurance organized “INTERNATIONAL BANKING FRAUD AWARENESS WEEK”  from 22nd November to 27th November, to create a sense of awareness among today’s youth regarding various types of frauds prevalent in the surrounding to understand the Risk Factors in the Banking sector and how we can tackle them using innovative ideas and also to make the participants learn about the frauds by giving them an opportunity to bring out their creativity. There were total 6 events; Quiz, Logo Making, Advertisement Interpretation, PPT Presentation, Article Writing and Problem Solving. All events had winning criteria and the winners were provided with a winning certificate. The event was held on Zoom Platform.

19. NATIONAL VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK” from 27th to 29th October, 2021 on the eve of 146th Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The theme for the event was “Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity”. Pledge Recitation, webinar and Case Study Analysis were the events conducted. The speaker for the webinar was Mr. Kamlakar Ratnakar Shenoy (B.COM, Hotelier) The event was held on Zoom Platform. In the webinar, Mr. Kamlakar Shenoy spoke about generating awareness about the ill effects of corruption.

20. ACADEMIC RESEARCH WORKSHOP.

“TWO DAYS ACADEMIC RESEARCH WORKSHOP” was organized on 1st and 2nd December, 2021 for all third year learners for the guidance of black book project. Speaker Mrs Poonam Kakkad (Designation: Assistant Professor) discussed how to work on research, how to select a research topic, how to do a survey and take, etc. She also shared a video on how to write references using “Zotero” and “Trinika” for grammar check. She shared her guidance material to the learners through padlet.com. The session was informative as well as interactive which really helped learners in getting knowledge about Research Paper.

The Department of Banking and Insurance & Department of Financial Markets organized a webinar on “ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS” on 24th December, 2021. A Webinar on First Foot Forward was conducted by two fine speakers, Mr. Kushal Trivedi (Founder & CEO Of multiple award winning startups) and Akshay Garg (Startup mentor & Strategic Business Consultant). 24. BANKING & INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “BANKING & INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP 2022” on 22nd, January, 2022 for the learners. It was a One Day event which was divided into 3 sessions. During the 1st session, Mrs. Madhuri Sharma [Faculty (Non life), Insurance Institute of India) covered ‘Insurance Documentation’ with a view to enhance the importance of the Documentation of Insurance i.e. slips, cover notes, policies, certificates, etc. In the 2nd session, Mr. Ravindra Singh Chawla (Founder & Managing Partner at RSC Skillbuilding and Consulting Solutions Ltd.) focused on ‘Life Insurance Documentation’. He covered Underwriting, Risk Factors involved in Life Insurance and how to overcome them. The case study made the concept more understandable. In the 3rd session, Mr. Tarun Tandon (Senior Manager, HDBC Bank) highlighted the ‘Process of Banking Documentation’, importance of Know Your Customer and Types of Documents.

25. GANDHI AUTOBIOGRAPHY

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized “GANDHI AUTOBIOGRAPHY” on 17th February, 2022 whereby the participants were provided e-notes. Autobiography of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was provided to all the participants one month prior the exam and the participants were requested to go the same. An online exam was set up for the same where the participants had to answer 50 questions.

27. BI PREMIERE LEAGUE

BI PREMIER LEAGUE” A 3 Day Intra Department Event was initiated for the first time this year. This is the first year of BPL. 34. GENDER VIOLENCE & WOMEN’S MOVEMENT

The Department Bachelor of Banking & Insurance in collaboration with Bachelor of Financial Management, Bachelor of Investment Management, Department of Accountancy, and B.com (Honors) has organized a guest lecture for First Year (FY) learners on 28th March, 2022. The session was addressed by Dr. E. Rati Rao (Retired Scientist). The bedrock of the webinar was gender violence and the mass movement (either by NGO or civil society or Government initiatives from a feminist perspective. The speaker began with the current scenario of gender disparities root causes for the same like patriarchal society, lack of education, Lack of exclusive and fast track law, No financial independence, Impact of Globalization and Liberalization after LPG in 1991, Influences of communism, Capitalism and Socialism, Dress codes, Social Boycott etc.

38. BE A BANKER

The Department of Banking and Insurance organized the Inter-Collegiate National Fest BE A BANKER’22 on 10th, 11th and 12th March 2022. This year the THEME for B.A.B’22 was ‘BANKATECH’. This year B.A.B’22 was the 9th Edition. The fest was conducted on Hybrid Mode i.e. Online and Offline. The online fest was conducted for Outside Mumbai Colleges due to covid protocols. The theme itself reflects the latest technology used in the banking sector. It was conducted for the youths to create awareness about technologies used in the banking sector to prepare them for the near future. The following events were conducted. There were 4 categories for events which were conducted: - Formal events – Quizipedia, Kaun Banega Banker, Debate, PPT Presentation, Corporate Roadies, Insurance Bazaar, Own it! Voice it! and Shark Tank. Informal events - Beg Borrow Steal, Crafts and Creation, Treasure Hunt and Minute to Win it. E-Gaming events -  Carrom, Chess, BGMI and PES. Cultural events - Group Dance, Singing, Duet/Solo Dance, Mr. and Miss BAB, War of CL’s, Fashion Show.

39. SOFTSKILLS WORKSHOP

One Day Workshop on SOFT SKILLS for all the Degree College learners was organized by the Department of Business Communication in collaboration with the Department of Banking and Insurance on 7th March, 2022. 41. DANDI MARCH & ITS IMPORTANCE IN CURRENT SCENARIO

Webinar on “DANDI MARCH” was organized on 4thApril, 2022. Dr. Subhash Chandra Roy (M.A.(English.), LL.M, Ph.D. (English), Ph.D.(Law:IPRs) Professor (Law), Dean-Research and Development, Director, Centre for innovation, Research & Facilitation(CIRF) in Intellectual Property for Humanity & Development(IPHD) Co-Coordinator IQAC) was the chief guest of the session. This event was organized to make people understand the importance and spread awareness about the importance of the Dandi March to Mahatma Gandhi also its importance in the current scenario. There was a webinar on Dandi March. Each participant was provided E-Certificates.

42. EARTH DAY

“EARTH DAY’ 22” was organized by The Department of Banking and Insurance in collaboration with The Department of Investment Management and Financial Markets, a 3 Days event on 14th, 15th and 16th April, 2022. This event was organized to create awareness about the Planet Earth and what measures can be inculcated for the same. There were 3 events; Tree Plantation Drive,  Exhibit Your Product and Pause & Rewind.
