The Deeksha Aarambh 2024 Induction Program was organized to mark the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new batch of students. This event was designed to help students acclimatize to the college environment, understand academic expectations, and explore the numerous opportunities for growth and development. During the program, students were introduced to the college’s ethos, its values, and the wide range of academic and extracurricular activities on offer. Key faculty members, including department heads and mentors, shared insights on the curriculum, examination patterns, and available resources to support students in their academic pursuits. The Reel Making Competition on National Integration was organized by the Department of Commerce, Economics, and PAFM on 14th August 2024 to support the "Har Ghar Tiranga" initiative launched by the Government of India. The event aimed to instill a sense of national pride and unity, while promoting awareness about India’s rich history and diverse cultural heritage. Students creatively expressed messages of togetherness, respect for different cultures, and the strength of unity through short, engaging videos. This competition also provided a platform for students to explore their creative and technical skills. With 20 enthusiastic participants, the event became a vibrant and meaningful celebration of India's spirit, fostering patriotism and collective pride.

The session on Capital Markets was organized for FYB.Com in Business Administration (PA & FM) students on Saturday, 31st August 2024. The session was conducted by Ms. Nidhi Shah, an expert in the field of finance.It aimed to provide students with a strong foundation in the functioning of capital markets.The session covered key topics such as stock exchanges, market instruments, and investment basics.Through an experiential learning approach, students engaged in practical discussions and real-life examples.Ms. Shah shared valuable insights into market trends and strategies used by professionals.The session helped students understand the relevance of capital markets in today’s economy.It was a significant step in preparing them for future careers in the finance and investment sector.

The industrial visit to Silvassa, held on 25th and 26th September, provided students with valuable insights into real-world manufacturing processes, offering a practical perspective on how financial principles are applied in the industry. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by observing the financial operations of two key manufacturing units: Classic Marble Centre and Euro Plywood. Students gained a deeper understanding of cost structures, budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation, which are crucial aspects of running successful manufacturing operations. This exposure helped students connect theoretical knowledge with practical financial decision-making in the business world.

Led by Ms. Minal Sharma, a seasoned legal professional with expertise in Criminology, Environmental Law, and Cyber Law, the session focused on quasi-contracts and their legal significance. Students were introduced to the principles and purpose behind quasi-contracts, emphasizing their role in preventing unjust enrichment and ensuring fairness. Ms. Sharma explained the practical applications of quasi-contracts in real-world scenarios, with interactive discussions deepening students' understanding of legal obligations. The session effectively bridged theoretical legal concepts with practical business relevance, providing a valuable learning experience that enhanced legal awareness among students.

The session was led by Mr. Alpesh Shah, an expert in the field, with the objective of building strong Excel skills among the participants. Students were introduced to both basic and advanced Excel functions, covering topics such as formulas, data management, charts, and pivot tables. The session was interactive and hands-on, ensuring practical learning. This workshop proved highly beneficial for the students, contributing to both their academic and professional development.

The Department of Commerce and PAFM organized the flagship event, Grand Fun ‘N’ Fair 2025, themed “From Legacy to Innovation: The Ratan Tata Way – A Tribute to the Legend.”  The event was held on January 10, 2025, at the TCSC Gangway Area from 9:30 AM onwards, with 52 stalls in three categories (Food, Articles, and Games). Dr.(Mrs.) Lily Bhushan (Principal of KES’ B. K. Shroff College of Arts & M. H. Shroff College of Commerce) and Mrs. Smita Pitale (judge for the day). The event's main motive was developing entrepreneurship skills among the students. Total 114 Students from degree and Junior college participated in this activity.
