Activities & Events Conducted in Academic Year 2024-2025


B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) Program has its curriculum explicitly designed for business visionaries to encourage critical thinking and foster their ambition through academically rigorous and practical learning experiences. It serves the needs of budding entrepreneurs by building an entrepreneurial mindset which will help them to identify potential business opportunities and create high impact ventures. Various activities were conducted for the budding entrepreneurs this year enabling them to envision, identify and develop innovative business ideas.


 

Workshop on Personal Branding titled “Elevate your Entrepreneurial Brand” was conducted on 24th July, 2024. Ms. Nishita Mantry Gupta, Co-Founder and Producer, The Peach Collar- Modern Indian Women, Mumbai was the Resource Person for the workshop. Ms. Gupta presented a comprehensive personal branding strategy to the 41 F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners enabling them to build a compelling personal brand to elevate their entrepreneurial journey to new heights. She also shared strategic personal branding tips with the participants to boost their entrepreneurial identity by laying out a step-by-step purpose-driven personal branding roadmap authentically aligning with their personal and professional identities.



 



Two-days Industrial Visit to Ravikas Automotive Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra was organised from 28th August, 2024 to 29th August, 2024 for 46 S.Y. and T.Y. B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. The learners were taken for a detailed guided tour of the Industrial Units’ manufacturing facilities which manufactures plastic injection moulded components. They also visited the internal toolroom facility and in-house design centre which caters to new tool development and autonomous maintenance of active tools.



Two-days “Initiate the Idea Generation Process and Life Coaching Workshop” was organised at Sterling Nature Trails Sajan, Palghar from 22nd to 23rd September, 2024 for 25 F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners specially curated to ignite their entrepreneurial spirit and foster innovative thinking. The Resource Person for the workshop was Mr. Charit Anchan, Co-Founder and CEO at Order on Messiah and Ex-Amazon Marketing Manager, Mumbai. He emphasized on the importance of identifying problems and crafting innovative solutions by sharing compelling examples of successful entrepreneurs who had navigated similar paths. Mr. Anchan guided the learners through various brainstorming techniques and ideation exercises thereby encouraging them to think outside the box, challenging conventional wisdom, and coming up with creative solutions to real-world problems. Participants gained valuable insights into the process of idea generation, problem-solving, and business planning. The practical exercises and brainstorming sessions provided them with tangible tools and techniques to refine their ideas. Life Coaching Workshop was conducted on 23rd September, 2024 to empower the learners with essential life skills and mindset strategies to navigate the entrepreneurial challenges effectively. During the workshop, the participants learned practical techniques for goal setting, time management, effective communication and stress management. The two-day workshop was structured to be interactive with the learners working in groups to develop and pitch their ideas thereby fostering a collaborative and stimulating environment. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s STEP (Skill and Talent Enhancement Programme) initiative.





Artificial Intelligence Tools Workshop on “Advanced AI Tools for Content Creation” was conducted on 27th September, 2024. Mr. Rupak Shah, Co-Founder, AiVANTA and AI Content Creator facilitated this workshop. This immersive workshop crafted for the 30 B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners enabled them to explore the creative and transformative potential of artificial intelligence as they learnt about the cutting-edge AI tools across different media platforms. Mr. Shah introduced the participants to the fundamental principles of generative AI, covering topics such as AI-generated Art, Text Generation, Audio Tools, Infographic Generator, Text-to-image Generator, AI-powered video creation, Research Tools, AI for Presentations and creative applications across various industries. The speaker discussed about the transformative effect of AI on content marketing and the impact of AI content optimisation tools on creative writing. The Question-and-Answer session allowed the attendees to ask questions and engage in discussions about the ethical, creative and technical implications of using AI in content creation. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s STEP (Skill and Talent Enhancement Programme) initiative.




Public Speaking Programme to enhance the learners’ public speaking skills leading to their academic and professional growth was organised on 7th October, 2024. This session with the Resource Person Ms. Meeta Bagwe, Life Coach and Grapho Therapist, Mumbai was a valuable learning experience for the 34 F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners in attendance. The event not only provided a platform for the participants to showcase their skills, but also offered them an opportunity to receive expert feedback from Ms. Bagwe. Her wealth of experience in experimental theatre brought invaluable perspectives to the table. From perfecting speech structure to mastering body language, each student walked away with personalized feedback ready to elevate their public speaking skills.




Visit to the Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration (CIBA), Vashi, Navi Mumbai was organised on 15th November, 2024 for 48 S.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) and T.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. The experiential visit to CIBA, a Technology Business Incubator committed to growing a collaborative entrepreneurial network by providing a one-stop support system for start-ups and transforming Mumbai as a hub for innovation helped the learners accelerate their entrepreneurial journey. Visit to CIBA Incubation Center was highly beneficial, offering a wealth of knowledge and networking opportunities for the aspiring entrepreneurs. The startup business development mentoring gained at CIBA by understanding the pitching process, product prototyping, and founder-meetings were instrumental in shaping the future endeavours of the participants.




Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence Presentation Skills” held on 8th January, 2025 enabled the participants to understand the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research and analysis as a means of growth acceleration, innovation, and to stay ahead in the fast-evolving business landscape. Resource Person Ms. Devika Sharma, Assistant Professor, NMIMS Centre for International Studies (CIS), Mumbai facilitated this workshop for F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. Through this workshop, the 32 participating AI-preneurs leveraged the AI best practices integral to their workflow and business ventures. The combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice ensured that the participants were well-equipped to create and deliver impactful presentations using AI tools and techniques.



A Workshop titled “Targeting and Connecting with Potential Customers Effectively” organised on 8th January, 2025 strategically outlined the connections to be developed with potential customers effectively. The budding 30 entrepreneurs from S.Y. and T.Y. B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) explored actionable strategies to attract and engage potential customers for their business growth through this comprehensive workshop. Ms. Divya Naik, Product Manager, Value Matrix, Bangalore conducted this workshop by highlighting the dynamic interplay between business development and customer engagement. The workshop equipped the learners with requisite skills to identify, target, and connect with potential customers effectively. 





Guest Lecture was conducted by the Department on “Renewable Energy: Current Trends” on 18th January, 2025 for 31 learners of the Department. The Guest Speakers for the session were Mr. Jay Shankar Shukla, Director, Clean Sustainable Energy Private Limited, AVAADA Group, Mumbai and Mr. Pratik Tambe, Senior Manager- Business Development, Nature Based Solutions at Infinite Environmental Solutions Limited, Mumbai. The first guest lecture by Mr. Jay Shukla provided insights into the latest developments in the field of renewable energy and its impact on sustainability. He emphasized on the significance of innovation and technology in advancing renewable energy solutions and achieving sustainable development goals. In the second session, Mr. Pratik Tambe highlighted the viability of Carbon Markets in India’s sustainable future and presented opportunities and challenges in the Energy Sector at the National and Global level. This activity was undertaken under TCSC’s CARRE (Connecting All to Respect and Recreate Environment) initiative.






Workshop on “How to Sell Yourself and Your Business Idea” on 1st February, 2025 equipped the participants with essential skills in personal branding, effective communication and pitching business ideas to potential investors. A total of 34 B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners attended this workshop. Dr. Raja Roy Choudhury, Chief Executive Officer, Advent Synergy Private Limited, Mumbai and Professor of Practice, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune was the esteemed Resource Person for this workshop. Dr. Raja Roy Choudhury stressed on the need to clearly articulate a value proposition which resonates with the target audience. Through this workshop, the learners developed a refined set of communication skills enabling them to be powerful communicators who can clearly articulate their value, stand out in a crowded marketplace and make a lasting impression.





Visit to National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai was organised on 3rd February, 2025 for 52 F.Y. and S.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners and on 18th February, 2025 for 30 T.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. This Experiential Learning visit provided practical exposure to the learners about the financial markets, share trading, mutual funds, and the importance of financial literacy to navigate the financial markets confidently. The participants were provided an overview of the Exchange, Capital Markets, Derivative Markets, Financial Markets, Stock Exchange Structure, its operations and the products traded on it. The NSE visit underscored the critical role of financial literacy in achieving economic resilience and was successful in integrating theoretical knowledge with the requisite practical exposure.






Sustainability Educational Tour to Govardhan Eco-Village Retreat (Wada), Palghar was organised for 32 F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners on 7th February, 2025 to experience the symbiotic sustainable development model derived from both Vedic and Modern Techniques. The guided tour was specially structured to instil the importance of Sustainable Entrepreneurship among the learners to prioritise social innovation and environmental stewardship. The participants explored sustainability in action with hands-on learning in eco-friendly technologies, waste management, water conservation, biodiversity, green building and ethical animal care as they connected with nature. 




Workshop on “Zero to One, One to Many: An Automated E-Commerce Website Business” was conducted on 5th March, 2025 to equip the learners with essential skills necessary for developing an automated E-Commerce website business. Mr. Yash Karade, Founder @ Daxy- The Digital Taxi, Mumbai and a Website Expert was the Resource Person for this workshop. He spoke in detail about the strategic implementation of automation which can act as a catalyst propelling e-commerce ventures to newer heights. Mr. Karade gave an in-depth knowledge to the 33 participating learners of the Department about various automation tools for E-Commerce Businesses which can help them streamline their processes and improve efficiency.
