Department of Commerce (Entrepreneurship) - Activities and Events in 2021-2022

Guest Lecture on “Master the Problem Solving & Decision-Making Skills” on 6th October, 2021:

The Department organised an Online Guest Lecture on “Master the Problem Solving & Decision-Making Skills” on 06th October, 2021 on the Zoom Platform with 29 F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. The Esteemed Resource Persons for the Guest Lecture were Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar, Director (Marketing & Business Development) & SEIC I/c ni-msme and Mr. V. B. Rajendra Prasad, Associate Faculty Member, School of Entrepreneurship and Extension (SEE), ni-msme. Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar gave an understanding of the Decision Making of individuals involved in the entrepreneurial process. The second Guest Speaker, Mr. V.B. Prasad spoke about the importance of Entrepreneurial Problem-Solving skills like critical thinking, lateral thinking and initiative taking ability. 

Guest Lecture on “Ideation through Problem Solving” on 13th November, 2021:

The Department of Bachelors in Commerce (Entrepreneurship) organised an Online Guest Lecture on “Ideation through Problem Solving”. It was conducted on the Zoom platform on 13th November, 2021 with 25 F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) learners. Mr. Gopalakrishnan Ramachandran, Director at Keiretsu Innovation Training Lab, Mumbai was invited as the Guest Speaker for this session. Mr. Ramachandran gave insights into implementing an ideation process and stated the importance of being committed and innovative to move the ideas towards execution.

One Day Industrial Visit to Alok Industries Limited, Silvassa on 10th March, 2022:

A total of 28 Learners of F.Y.B.Com. (Entrepreneurship) were taken for an Industrial Visit to Alok Industries Limited, Silvassa on 10th March, 2022. The students were taken for a detailed tour of the factory. The students were described the working of the textile machines right from the raw material stage to the end products. Students were informed about the yarn, (polyester and cotton) manual and automated functioning etc.

Entrepreneurial Talk Show “Business Buzz- In Conversation with Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani” on 15th April, 2022:

The Department organised an Online Entrepreneurial Talk Show “Business Buzz- In Conversation with Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani” on 15th April, 2022. It was conducted with renowned Indian Industrialist, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Hiranandani Group. The talk show traced his exciting and exceptional entrepreneurial journey 

The interactive session included discussions on the need for innovative ideas and important learnings from failures and life lessons for entrepreneurs.
