On
23rd August, 2016 the department had organized an Orientation Lecture
on Skill Development courses on Stock Market- Fundamental and Technical
Analysis. Mr.Prahlad Tripathi introduced the students to the stock rates
and analysis and knowhow of the technical and fundamental practices for
stock price movement.254 students participated in the event.
Interactive session on derivative markets by alumnus Divya Parmar on 24 th September 2016.

students participated in the event.The speaker solved the queries
relating to trading in derivatives, one of the most complicated
financial instruments traded in the stock market.
On 11th
February, 2017 the Students of BFM department were enlightened by Rtn.
Mina Tilakraj who through Rotaract Club of Bombay Kandivli gave a food
for thought to the students on how to be a Responsible Gen Y.58 students
participated in the event.
Securities
Exchange Board of India is something what the students have always
wished to know closely and know a lot more about the exchange boards and
markets. On 22nd February, 2017 the students went on a study visit to
SEBI in order to have an interactive session and learn more on
depositories and the market trading risks. 58 Students Participated in
the event.
Polio,
in spite of several efforts taken by the Government Of India lacks its
awareness in India. The BFM Department in Association with Rotaract Club
of Bombay Kandivli and the BMC had organized a Polio Awareness Rally in
Thakur Village on 28th January, 2017.
Finstreet: 18th
February,2017 a day of pride as the department hosted its first Inter
Collegiate Financial Festival FINSTREET, Let the Bull in you Growl. With
the motto to provide students a better understanding of the Financial
Markets’ terminology and technicality through fun games and exciting
fillers, FINSTREET proudly hosted 20 colleges from all over Mumbai. The
event was inaugurated by Mr. G. Chokkhalingam, MD; Founder of Equinomics
an Equity Research Firm, who through the platform of FINSTREET gave the
students a better meaning on how to focus on life.
A
one day workshop on Revised Syllabus of FYBFM [Semester I and II] was
organized along with the Board of Studies, University Of Mumbai on 22nd
July, 2016. This workshop gave the faculty an insight about the change
in syllabus and the scope of curriculum.
