B.com. (Investment Management) Financial planning Seminar - 20th July 2019

Objective: Main aim of the session was to provide valuable insights about financial wellness

The resource person for the session was Mr. Rahul Rege, a senior expert from the finance fraternity. The main objective of the session was to provide valuable insights about financial wellness. Mr. Rege provided comprehensive inputs on various aspects of financial wellness. He spoke on exploring potential and identifying techniques to grow financially. He focused on crucial areas like financial planning, risk- return matrix, investment avenues, financial markets etc. Mr. Rege pointed out that having adequate money and managing it wisely will result in financial well-being which is very essential for creation of happiness, wealth and peace. All together 84 students attended the session. Mr. Rege effectively responded to all the questions asked by the students after the session. The seminar in the end was a huge success and students were delighted to attend the same.





Career Counseling Seminar - 21st Sept 2019

Objective: To make students aware about various other career choices in the long run.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Gaurav Jain, immensely experienced and a professional. The interactions made sure that there was no low point in the session. It gave everyone a clear perspective for the long run. All the factors affecting the choice of the students were addressed and the myths and superstitions regarding the choices were removed to a large extent. They showed presentations and various forms which were and organized and broken down into streams. It was very informative and interactive and even quite fun. He informed the students that mostly students aim to go into good colleges because they get good peers and that it influences the way others perceive the individual depending on which college, he/she is studying in. Thus, he informed the students about some stream neutral courses which the student of any stream could opt. he apprised the students that there were no advantages or disadvantages of opting those courses, but they are competitive as a child from any stream could opt for them.It was indeed a share worthy experience.



INVESTMENT ROADMAP'19 - 27th JULY 2019

Objective:

To promote student awareness in the field of Investment and develop the interpersonal skills that are necessary for the financial markets.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (SECURITIES EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA):

The students of BIM visited the Securities Exchange Board of India on 1st October 2019. Around 42 students from first year and second year along with two Teachers went to the industrial visit. The students gained knowledge about the Functioning and the regulation of the Indian Financial Market by the Regulatory body itself.





INVESTMENT AWARENESS WEEK'19

DAY 1: Guest lecture - “Career Opportunities in Investment" By Gaurav Jain

to make students understand different career opportunities, procedure to appear those careers, different competitive exams and planned to make them to understand the importance of having goal and passion and hard work to achieve the desired goal. The focus of this seminar was to expose students to the job market and the new and exciting upcoming careers they can pursue. It will assist them in identifying career options after graduation and the appropriate higher education routes to each. This will enable them to map out their career plans, determine the higher educational courses they should consider, and to develop the necessary job skills that employers will look for.

DAY 2: Guest lecture - “Investment Avenues" By Ishan Mazmudar

to provide valuable insights about investment awareness. Mr. Ishan provided comprehensive inputs on various aspects of investment. He spoke on exploring potential and identifying techniques to grow financially. He focused on crucial areas like financial planning, risk-return matrix, investment avenues,

financial markets etc. Mr. Ishan pointed out that having adequate money and managing it wisely will result in financial well-being which is very essential for creation of happiness, wealth and peace.

DAY 3: Kaun banega Investment banker - Financial Quiz

In the quiz competition, 3 major rounds were conducted. Out of this the first round was the General round which comprised of 2 questions for each team allotting them 15 seconds for answering each question This round was conducted successfully and the teams showed active participation. The second round was the Pictionary round which comprised of 1 slide for every team allotting 20 seconds to answer each question. This round was also successfully conducted. The final Q&A round was then conducted with the rest of ten teams. All the rounds were successfully conducted abiding by the rules and regulations for the same.

DAY 4: Business Plan

In the business plan, participants were pitching their innovative business ideas and plans to make this idea a success. They were cross questioned about various scenarios and situations regarding their ideas, how any change may affect them and what steps they would take to counter them. The event was successfully conducted abiding by the rules and regulations for the same.

DAY 5: Debate and Poster Making

In the Debate competition, the participants were asked to discuss the various current affairs in the financial sector and debate their views for the same.

In the Poster making, the participants were asked to showcase their creative skills to a create a powerful message regarding the Investment sector and various Investment Avenues. Both events were successfully completed side by side abiding the rules and regulations.

DAY 6: Model Making

In Model making, participants were to make 3-D models of various financial institutions and explain their workings to their audience and were judged on various grounds, including appearance and explanation. The event was completed successfully abiding the rules and regulations.

CONTRARIAN '20 - 23rd January 2020

Objective:

To promote student awareness in the field of Investment and develop a knowledge regarding the Contrarian skills that are necessary for the financial markets by seasoned professionals.

GUEST LECTURE ON ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITISATION:

A Guest Lecture was organized on 29th February 2020. There were students of first year from BBI and BIM. The speaker was Mr. Chinu Kwatra who is a “Founder of Khushiyan Foundation”. The topic for the session was “Environmental Sensitization” where he discussed about the importance of environment that how to save and protect environment. He also discussed that we should help poor people and serves them also a better environment.



MOVIE SCREENING ON COMMUNALISM - 11th MARCH 2020

The department of BIM and BBI organized a movie screening on the awareness of communalism 25 students of BBI and 25 students of BIM of Fy and Sy were present for the same. The event was organised in the media lab of TCSC. This was conducted to raise awareness on the topic of communalism and remove any misconceptions regarding the same
