Department of BAMMC provides for a practical and theoretical knowledge that sets the basis for newer opportunists to stem within the growing content creators and media professionals amongst its learners.
A seminar on "Working in an ad agency" was held by the Department of BAMMC (Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication) in collaboration with BAFTNMP (Film Television and New Media Production) & MAEMA (Master of Arts in Entertainment, Media & Advertising) on 17th July 2021. The guest lecturer was Advertising Professional Ms. Shubhita Chawla (Ogilvy India) gave deep insights of what advertising as a career holds in.
A seminar on "Photography- When the Camera in on Manual Mode" was conducted in collaboration with LotusBeam School of Photographyon 20th July 2021. The guest lecturer Ashish Kamble, a Mumbai based educator and freelance photographer with deep interest in Sci-fi and human conscience, gave several tips and tricks on photography, types of lenses, photographic vision and the art of clicking meaningful pictures.
A seminar on "Journey of a Food Entrepreneur and Key Factors of Success" was held on 24th July 2021. It was conducted by Ms. Vaishali Bhardwaj, a MBA from IMT Ghaziabad and an Ex Google Employee. The workshop covered several points on how entrepreneurship is now the future of the country moving forward.
The Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication hosted a ' Photography Workshop ' on 2nd October, 2021 in the college campus for the FY and SY students. They were mentored by some of our most talented alumni and faculty including Gaurav Bajaj, Kaushal Mistry, Aditya Kamath and Forum Parekh. The students were taught about the nuances of photography, angles, ways to capture moments and objects in the most efficient ways possible that can make their photograph stand out. They were divided in groups of 8-10 members and were allotted 15 objects that they had to take unique photos of.
The department conducted a freshers party “Flamboyance” on 7th December 2021 for the 12th batch of Mass Media students which was themed as “Vanity Fair” where all had to dress like their favourite Singer, Dancer, Actor, Musician or Entertainer.
A guest lecture on “Basics of Direction” was conducted on 24th January 2022 by Mr. Bhanu Babbal (Mumbai based Director and Writer who has worked on more than 150 Television Commercials). The students were guided with live demonstrations and were keynotes about making content which is saleable.
Following the tradition of yearly “Pride Walk in the Campus”, this year on 26th February 2022, the students of BAMMC brought the pride flags, painted their faces rainbow and marched together for showing their support and ending all sort of discrimination with LGBTQ+ Community.
The FYBAMMC students were taken to Industrial visit from 7th March 2022 to 9th March 2022 to Nashik and Igatpuri where they visited Vipassana Meditation Centre and Sula Vineyards.
The students of BAMMC, BAFTNMP and MAEMA participated in a Beach Clean-up Drive at Aksa Beach on 19th March 2022.
The department organized a farewell party “Nazrana…the last souvenir” on 18th April 2022 for the Batch of 2021-22 which was themed as ‘Olde Worlde (Retro)’ which gave a sort of tribute to timeless legends of Indian Cinema.
