Student’s Achievement
Alina Lobo and Harsh Arpit were selected to attend ENTREPRENEURSHIP BOOTCAMP organised by MSSU(Maharashtra State Skill University) on 16th and 17th February in MET Bandra. They pitched their business in front of dignitaries and collected valuable experience for life.
PROGRAMS UNDER CARRE
A visit to Govardhan Eco Village was organized on 11th Jan, 2024. 17 students participated in the visit. The students were shown rain water harvesting and waste water management. The students got a glimpse of sustainable living and living with nature.
PLASTIC AWARENESS DRIVE ALONG WITH STUDENT’S COUNCIL
Students participated in Plastic Awareness campaign along with Students’ Council of the college. Students visited other classrooms and campaigned for not using plastics and made other aware of the environmental impact of using plastic bottles and throwaway bottles. Students also ditched their plastic bottle for more sustainable steel and copper bottle.
EVENT ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION
A Poster Making competition was organised in the event of National Integration in association with BCom (Entrepreneurship) and BCom(DB). The theme of the competition were India’s Freedom Movement, Vision for India’s Amrit Kaal, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Atmanirbhar Bharat. There were 61 participants in the event.
GUEST LECTURE ON GENDER EQUITY
A guest lecture on BREAKING GENDER STEREOTYPE was organised on 5th October, 2024 on zoom platform. Dr Paromita Chakraborty (HOD-Department of English, H R College of Science and Commerce) was invited to speak. 100 students participated in the event. Students were awed by her invigorating lecture.
ENTERNET
Department event ENTERNET was organised on 29th February, 2024. 95 students registered and participated in the event. The event was successful with all the participants playing games like STOCK CLOCK and SIMTASTIC QUIZ.
In STOCKCLOCK, participants were presented with case study which they had to analyse the information given and predict the future stock range of the company involved.
In SIMTASTIC QUIZ, the participants were challenged with a mix of general knowledge questions and Brand related questions. It tested their awareness level and ability to think promptly.

PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE
For instilling values among the learners, the students of the department attended a National Level conference on “ HARMONISING WISDOM BY UNVEILING SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S TEACHINGS AND INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM FOR ENHANCING QUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION” organised by Swami Vivekananda Association and IQAC of the college in collaboration with University of Mumbai and Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai on 6th March, 2024. Many eminent speakers from different walks of life delivered lectures which enriched the thinking of the students and contributed towards making them a better human being. Many students participated in the event and sent their research paper to the conference.
