Activities & Events Conducted in Year 2024-2025


Workshop conducted on : Web Technology, Java Script, DSA

The workshop titled “Web Technology, Java Script, DSA” was conducted for Second-year and Third-year students with 54 registration, by Mr. Neeraj Shukla. The event was conducted on June 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2024, with Mr. Mahesh Gurunani served as the event coordinator. The workshop successfully achieved its objectives by equipping participants with the skills to develop full-stack web applications using Web Technology, Java Script, and DSA.




Webcraft Competition

The event titled "Webcraft Competition" took place on July 24th, engaging first-year and second-year students, with a total registration of 45 and was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. This event was designed to evaluate the web development abilities of students by providing them with specific tasks and conditions to build functional web pages within a set time limit. The following is the list of winners from the event:

Bridge Course

The Bridge Course for (Artificial Intelligence/ Robotics Process Automation/ Android and computer Network) was conducted by the dept. of Computer Science for First Year learners in duration of 5th August to 31st August 2024 (30 hrs), with 103 enrolled learners. The coordinators Ms.Vaishali Patil and Ms. Prachi Raut shared in-depth knowledge about the above-mentioned topics, in which coordinators also demonstrated the examples for better understanding of learners.

CircuitJS Pilot Workshop by IIT Bombay:

The “CircuitJS Pilot Workshop by IIT Bombay” workshop was held for Computer Science Department students organized by IIT Bombay. On August 9th, 2024, the workshop took place in both online at IIT Bombay and offline format at Thakur College of Science and Commerce, attracting 101 registrants. The session was conducted by Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Pratik Bhosale.

SQL Workshop

A two-week workshop on “SQL” for Second Year learner’s organized by “Coding Club” Computer Science on 21st, 24th, 28th and 31st August 2024, with 40 enrolled learners. The workshop was conducted by Third year learner’s Mr. Vishal Kacha and Ms.Suvedha Pillai and was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees effectively wrapped up their individual projects, showcasing their skill in utilizing SQL in practical situations.

AWS Cloud Computing:

“AWS Cloud Computing" course was organized by Coding Club Computer Science with  registration of 79 Students for third year learner's. Duration 28th  October to 15th November 2024 and was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The objective of the Course - The AWS Academy program equips learner’s with the essential AWS Cloud skills and knowledge to start a career immediately after graduation. Upon graduating, learner’s will have acquired skills that create pathways to various professional opportunities.

Stock market workshop :

From 25th November 2024, to 3rd December 2024, Asst. prof. Mr. Mahesh Gurnani conducted an informative “Stock market workshop” for 50 Computer Science students. The workshop covered essential topics such as stock market basics, technical analysis, mutual funds, long-term investment strategies, portfolio management, and practical trading calls. Through interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, students gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to navigate the stock market and make informed investment decisions.

Environmental Activity (CARRE)

The Department of Computer Science organized a "Save Environment" activity on 9th January 2025 in 302 Lab, led by Ms. Anjali Singh. Fourteen students from First year participated in a Poster Making competition aimed at raising awareness about environmental conservation. Students expressed their creativity by addressing key issues like pollution, deforestation, and climate change. The following is the list of winners from the event: From First year: 1. E-kshetra

The Coding Club of the Computer Science Department organized an esports event named E-kshetra on 11th January 2025 and was coordinated by Mr. Mahesh Gurunani and  Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The event featured popular esports games like BGMI, Free Fire, and FC Mobile with 200+ registrations. A total of 7 winners were awarded trophies and a cash prize worth ₹18,000 in different categories. Hack-it-Out

The Coding Club of the Department of Computer Science at TCSC organized an Inter-College Hackathon event named Hack-it-Out on the 15th and 16th of January 2025, with 50 teams from different colleges from Mumbai University participated and was coordinated by Mr. Mahesh Gurunani and Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. And Organising Core Student Team (Coding Club) : Mr. Harshit Thakur, Mr. Nitish Singh, Mr. Anmol Giri, Mr. Sumit Mishra, Mr. Vipul Gajra, Mr. Katson Joyel, Ms. Akshita Tiwari, Mr. Vishal Kacha, Ms. Suvedha Pillai, Ms. Sandhya Singh, Mr. Jay Panchal Mr. Sahidul Shaikh. This event was a multi-round competition spread over two days. The competition involved teams analyzing case studies based on logical issue statements and online technology to showcase their technical and problem-solving abilities.The following is the list of winners from the event:

Machine learning certificate course

This comprehensive “15-hour machine learning certificate course” introduces first-year Computer Science students to the fundamentals of machine learning. 66 students are enrolled for the certificate course and was conducted by “Mrs. Prachi Raut”, Covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice, students will have a thorough understanding of machine learning concepts and practical experience with essential tools and techniques.

Linux certificate course:

The "30-Hour Linux Administration Certificate Course", conducted by Ms. Anjali Singh, designed for First-Year Computer Science students to introduce them to the fundamentals of Linux administration. With 50 students enrolled, the course offered theoretical concepts and hands-on practice, ensuring students gained practical experience with essential Linux tools and techniques.

DBA Certificate Course:

The “15-hour DBA certificate course” introduces Second-year Computer Science students to the fundamentals of database administration. Total 88 students are enrolled for the certificate course and was conducted by “Mrs. Vaishali Patil”, This course focused on database design, SQL, transaction management, and advanced topics like data warehousing, paired with practical projects.

Cyber Threats & Ethical Hacking Awareness

Workshop based on “Cyber Threats & Ethical Hacking Awareness” organized by Department of Computer Science for First Year Learner’s with 55 enrollments. The workshop was conducted from 6th to 8th February 2025 and was coordinated by Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar. The workshop was led by our Third year learner’s- Mr. Vikas Chaurasiya, Mr. Aditya Vishwakarma, Mr. Ajit Dwivedi, Mr. Jeet Raut, Mr. Avadesh Tiwari and Mr. Vishal Gupta

workshop aimed to enhance participants' understanding of cyber threats and ethical hacking practices, providing them with knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and mitigate cyber risks.

Data Science Workshop

Workshop based on Data Science organized by the Department of Computer Science with 48 enrollments. The workshop was conducted 22nd February 2025 and was coordinated by Ms.Prachi Raut and Dr. Sujitha Mohan. This one day workshop on Data Science workshop typically caters to beginners or intermediate learners because it serves as an entry point for people who are either new to the field or have some foundational knowledge but want to expand their skills.

Social Work

Workshop titled "Click Smart, Stay Safe: Exploring Cybercrime and Cybersecurity" at Shri Raghubir Madhyamik Vidyalaya & English High School from February 13 to February 15, 2025. The workshop under Social Work was conducted over three days, engaging different student divisions: Day 1 (February 13, 2025) : 9th Std, Hindi Medium, Div A, Day 2 (February 14, 2025) : 9th Std, English Medium, Div A, Day 3 (February 15, 2025) : 8th Std, Hindi Medium, Div D, E, C. Total participation exceeded 190 students, demonstrating a strong interest in cybersecurity awareness.The workshop was led by our Third year learner’s- Mr. Vikas Chaurasiya, Mr. Aditya Vishwakarma, Mr. Ajit Dwivedi, Mr. Jeet Raut, Mr. Avadesh Tiwari and Mr. Vishal Gupta

Spoken Tutorial

Spoken Tutorial courses are an initiative by IIT Bombay aimed at teaching Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) through video tutorials.. Where various online courses are completed by the students and achieved a certificate from IIT Bombay. From FY Bsc 194 has completed Spoken Tutorial certificate in HTML and Python 3.4.3 Programming. From SY Bsc 205 has completed Spoken Tutorial certificate in Linux, JAVA Programming and PHP MySQL. From MSc CS 64 students have completed Spoken Tutorial certificate in Java Business Application Programming.

  • Mr. Aaditya Mishra (SYBSc CS-B,1078) has successfully secured the National Gold Medal in Hand 2 Hand Fighting Combat organized by Decathlon during the National Games 2024.


  • Mr. Aaditya Mishra (SYBSc CS-B,1078) has successfully secured Gold Medal in Open National Pro Kickboxing Championship organized by WAKO Mumbai Kickboxing Association held on 21st and 22nd September 2024.

  • A group of students 1. Ms. Mrunal Urankar(SY BSC CS- A, 902) 2. Ms. Aarya Arun Wargaonkar (SY BSC CS-A, 903) 3. Ms.Sakshi Kailash Yadav ( SY BSC CS-A, 904)  has been successfully selected for the 19th Avishkar Convention Mumbai Zonal Round 3 for their research project on Inherigen (Genetic Health Insights) in the Engineering and Technology category organized by University of Mumbai on 13th December 2024.




  • Ms. Sakshi Gupta (FY BSC CS-A, 1883) has successfully secured 1st Runner Up Basketball  place  at YUVA PREMIER LEAGUE organised by Future Varsity Education Group on 27th and 28th November 2024



  • Mr. Ramjeet Verma(SY BSC CS-B, 1010) has successfully secured  3rd Position in the Ideathon Event during Tech fest Zettabyte 3.0 organised by Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce on 24th January 2025

  • Mr. Saurabh Singh (TY BSC CS-B, 150) has successfully secured 1st place in Maharashtra State Karate Championship,2024 organised by Karate Do Association Maharashtra (KAM) on 18th July 2024. 



  • Mr. Saurabh Singh (TY BSC CS-B, 150) has successfully secured 2 Gold medals in Inter - National Championship, Andhra Pradesh Organised by G.K.M.A (Goju Ryu Karate Do Martial Arts Association), Andhra Pradesh On 22nd September 2024.

  • Mr. Priyanshu Manoj Palande, Mr. Satyam Haresh Kounder, Mr. Pravin ramkaran Prajapati, Mr. Nikhil Ravishankar Mishra (TY BSC CS-A & B) has successfully secured 1st place Boys Cricket at the annual sports day organised by Thakur College of Science and Commerce  from 13th to 18th February 2025.
