DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES
Conducted Workshop On Project Design and Implementation by Mr. Mahesh Gurunani and Dr. Girish Tere on 23rd June 2023. The workshop aimed to gather final year students to discuss and finalize the implementation plan and design for the project. The main objectives of the workshop was:
- To review and finalize the project implementation plan.
- To discuss and refine the project design.
- To identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- To align expectations and ensure a common understanding of the project goals and objectives.
The workshop provided a platform to collaborate, refine the project plan, and design a more effective solution. The workshop r's outcomes will serve as a foundation for the successful implementation of the project, ensuring alignment and risk mitigation.
Conducted Workshop On Android development By Mr. Sachin Yadav, an entrepreneur and an alumni of the computer science department onSaturday & 24th June 2023.Mr Sachin Yadav gave an introduction on how to create projects, and gave a brief on the tools & tricks which are now used in industries. Provided a demo on implementation of an application development. The overall session was interactive and interesting. The following topics were discussed:
Structure and steps for creating projects.
Different versions of Android and its uses.
Industrial uses.
Application Development demo and how time complexity can be managed.
The resource person Mr Sachin Yadav gave a core view of Android Application Development which was very helpful for the beginners.
Conducted Guest Lecture On Python Backend development using Django and Postgres by Mr. Hemant Kanojiya, eminent software developer on 8th July 2023.The seminar was organized for all learners to help them to better understand about the new technologies and concepts such as Backend Development , Django framework and Postgres Framework.
Guest Lecture by Web- Development By Mr. Saurabh Tiwari, Mr. Subhendu Pandey and Mr. Prithvi Bose, CEO of LearnLogix software development On 17th July 2023 The session typically covers a range of topics related to web development, including design principles, coding languages, website structure, hosting, and project-based learning.
The session aim to equip graduates with the necessary tools and techniques to excel in the industry and find employment in various sectors, such as software development, web analysis, quality assurance, and more. Graduates can expect to learn about the latest web standards and gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining web applications. The session Web technology is based on standards such as HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) for creating web pages and protocols like HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) for transmitting data.It also includes technologies like the semantic web, which enables the encoding of semantics with data using languages like RDF (Resource Description Framework) and OWL (Web Ontology Language). Web technologies are essential for creating websites, web applications, and web APIs. They also play a crucial role in the Internet of Things (IoT) by facilitating the connection and exchange of data between devices. The evolution of web technologies, such as Web 2.0 and Web 3.0, has brought about significant advancements in online communication, collaboration, and content generation.

Workshop On Game Development Was conducted by Mr. Ahmed Shaikh
On 22nd July 2023.The resource person Mr.Ahmed Shaikh gave an overview of Game Development on Unity Engine, Torques, Triggers, Namespaces, and Scene Management which was very helpful for the intermediate and advanced. It was an interactive and helpful session for all the students and practical implementation was shown.
Guest Lecture On Use of Technological Evolution in project development Was conducted by Mr. Aakash Mishra , software developer On 5th August 2023.The Use of Technological Evolution in Project Development Session aimed to explore the ways in which advancements in technology can revolutionize the field of project management. The session brought together industry experts, thought leaders, and professionals from diverse backgrounds to discuss the latest trends, strategies, and tools that can enhance project development processes. This summary report provides an overview of the key insights and highlights from the session.
Certificate Course on Database Administrator Was conducted by Mrs. Vaishali Patil , Dr.Sujitha Mohan From 28th Aug2023 – 30th Sept 2023 .The course was held on an offline / online platform, the co-ordinators Mrs. Vaishali Patil , Dr.Sujitha Mohan. shared in-depth knowledge about above mentioned topics, in which coordinators also conducted practicals for better understanding of learners.
Certificate Course On Linux Fundamentals Was conducted by Dr. Girish Tere From 14th Aug2023 – 30th Sept 2023 . 112 students have registered for the course. Linux Fundamentals” course provides students a thorough introduction to Linux for those who are new to the Linux environment. Students will learn how to manage files and directories, utilize the vi editor, work with Linux security mechanisms to protect files and programs, work with the Linux shell. In almost all major organizations, Data centers Linux Operating system is used. This course will help students to learn the basics of Linux Operating System. Students will get hands-on practical experience in GCP.
Certificate Course On Machine Learning Foundations Was conducted by Dr. Girish Tere and Ms. Prachi RautFrom 22nd Jan 2024 – 28th Feb 2024. 139 students registered for the course. This certificate course covers the basics of Data science and Artificial Intelligence. The students were given hands-on training in the lab for implementation of the concepts.
Workshop on React and Node JSWas conducted by Mr.Neeraj Shukla, an eminent software developer On 10th February 2024. In all 50 students were trained on this technology.Mr. Neeraj Shukla shared knowledge and expertise with the attendees. Following where the key objectives:
1. Introduce participants to the fundamentals of React and Node.js.
2. Explore the benefits and use cases of React and Node.js.
3. Provide hands-on experience in building web applications using React and Node.js..
The workshop provided a solid foundation in these technologies and equipped them with the skills to build full-stack web applications.
Computer science students have conducted a one month certificate course from 12th January 2024 to 11th February 2024for students from Class 7, 8, 9, 10 of various schools in the nearby location of Thakur Village. They have successfully completed the course requirements. The students were taught about the functionalities of Word ,Excel, Powerpoint. They also learnt about the basics of HTML for making the website and practiced on the Paint tool for drawing basic geometrical shapes. The classes were conducted by the Second and Third year students of the department. At the end students have appeared for the written examination. All the successful students were given certificates by Principal Dr. (Mrs.)C.T.Chakraborty and Prof. S.P.Singh. This program was initiated by Prof. S.P.Singh under the aegis of Satya Sai foundation.

Dr. Girish Tere participated in the International Webinar on “SUKHA PRAPTI THROUGH SANKHYA AND SHIVA PHILOSOPHY” as a part of 9th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA organized by Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy, Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Chennai on 19.06.2023.
Dr. Girish Tere has worked as an Organiser and successfully conducted IT Skills courses Training for the students of Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Kandivali (East) for the academic year 2023-2024. This training is offered by the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, funded by National Mission on Education through ICT, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Dr. Girish Tere has exhibited exemplary coordination skills and dedication as a “Faculty Coordinator during the National Level Faculty Development Program on Cloud Infrastructure(AWS)” organized byBrainovision Solutions India Pvt. Ltd in association with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) during the period of 21st to 25th August 2023.

Ms. Anjali Wagh has attended a one-week online FDP on "Distributed Ledger Technology", organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Dr. DY Patil Institute of Engineering and Management Research, Akurdi, Pune held in online mode from 4th December 2023 to 11th December 2023.
Mr. Rahul Dhuru participated in a Five Day Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “INTEGRATION OF IoT & BLOCKCHAIN TO IMPLEMENT SMART EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE” jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of GMR Institute of Technology-Rajam and Department of Computer Science & Systems Engineering of Andhra University College of Engineering-Visakhapatnam from 26th February - 01st March 2024.
Dr. Girish Tere, Ms. Siddhi Birwadkar, Ms. Riddhi Mishra and Ms. Anjali Wagh has participated in the “Faculty Development Programme from 2024-02-05 to 2024-03-29 on R” organized by Thakur College of Science and Commerce with course material provided by Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay. A comprehensive set of topics pertaining to R were covered in the training. This training is offered by the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay.
