The Department is the breeding ground for budding filmmakers, technicians and to prepare the students for various aspects production of Film, Television and other medium. This 3-year undergraduate program meets the technical requirements of the field and provides the given practical exposure required for the learners.
Workshop on “Basics of Photography and Visual Media” was the training workshop in Photography and Visual Media by Mr. Abin Varghese, Cinematographer was conducted on 11th July, 2019. 110 students were benefitted from the same.
“Writing & Production Workshop” was spearheaded by Mr. Subodh Pandey, Story Writer for 3dev and other Bollywood productions & Mr. Shrikant Aacharya , Executive Producer for Rustom, Tony and other Bollywood productions which was attended by more than 160 students. 25th July, 2019.
“Music Instruments Workshop” in association with M.F.B. Sufi & Istrumental Fusion Band was organized on 27th August, 2019. Various band members Mr. Manoj Dubey, Mr. Vikram and Mr Rashmin shared their experiences about working in the music industry and guidance for budding artists. More than 100 students were benefitted from the same.
Ms. Anuradha Singh, Actor and Anchor and Mr.Pushkar, Theatre Artist were the guest speakers for the workshop on “Media & Medium” where almost 120 students had an interaction about media, journalism and TV anchoring.
A Two-Day Practical Photography Workshop on 27th and 28th September, 2019 for First year students. The theme of the conference was “How to get the best output with minimum resources?” More than 55 students actively participated where they were guided practically on basic photography techniques.
“Filmology Workshop” was conducted by Mr. Bharat Shitole, National Award Winning Filmmaker interacted with students about Cinema of Nation on 23rd November, 2019.
5th Khajuraho International Film Festival, from 16th to 24th December, 2019 was organized and curated by the learners of the Department.
“Workshop on Vlogs and Startups” by Mr. Akash Lall, Blogger was organized for first year learners to train them on blogging on 16th January, 2020.
Mr. Vishal Chaturvedi, Renowned Filmmaker was the facilitator for the “Workshop on Filmmaking” where he spoke about the specifics of filmmaking.
Open Mic, This event organized by Music Club a part of BAFTNMP Department. More than 120 students participated in this event and get certificate for their performance. This event held on 27 February 2020.
The Department has been providing technical expertise for various inter departmental activities like Recording and Dubbing for BAF, Movie screenings with Law, BBI and Science Association, Music Therapy Session with Accounts, Movie Making with Biotechnology and Anti-Ragging Short film for BFM.

Rohit Rajpoot, Deepak Tamta, Shashwat Mishra, Anisha Shekhawat (FYBAFTNMP) won “The Best Film” Award in Chitra Bharti Film Festival, Ahmedabad organized by Government of India on 24th February,2020.

Nilay Raje and Abhinav Pandey’s (FYBAFTNMP) Short film ‘A Walk with Future’ was the Official selection at International Science Film Festival, conducted by Vigyan Prasar, Government of India.
More than 10 Short Films of the students from the Department were officially selected and successfully screened at Khajuraho International Film Festival, 2019 from 16th to 24th December, 2019. A few titles namely- A Walk with Future, Aaina, Tandav, Last Drop of Water, and Bombay 65.

-Shot 1 season of original food series for the digital platform of “LivingFoodz” (Zee) named “Street Food of India”and currently shooting the second one.
-Edited a few sequences of the Bollywood film “Saand Ki Aankh” that features Taapsee Pannu & Bhumi Pednekar
-Toured as the personal photographer for more than 50 days with “Taapsee Pannu” an Indian Actress, for her promotions of new movies like “Game Over” “Saand Ki Aankh” & “Mission Mangal”
-Directed and led a team of 40+ people for Asia’s Biggest HR Event in Gurugram-“Tech HR”
-Shot the promotional drive“Big Bag Sales” for “Grofers”a grocery delivery app, around the country.
-Shot for a badminton team owned by “Taapsee Pannu named “Pune 7 Aces” in Premiere Badminton League.
-Shot for “Assam Tourism”for the biggest cultural festival in North East.

Ritesh Kadam (TYBAFTNMP) is presently working as Production Manager with Eros International.
Vikrant Chikane (TYBAFTNMP) is an established Independent Photographer.
Aryan Sen (TYBAFTNMP) is a Multiple Reality Shows Cinematographer for various Channels, like Star Network, Sony Entertainment.
Mokshada Hakani, Ankit Gupta, Mayur Dubey, Divya Chauhan, Priyanka Soni, Tushar Parikh, Suraj Jha, Rishita Sanghavi (TYBAFTNMP), Rohan Madhesiya (FYBAFTNMP) are presently working with Hotstar.
