A value education seminar on “Intrinsic Motivation: The importance of Self Awareness” Session led by: HG Hemrup Chaitanya Prabhuji was organized on 13th July 2024 for 115 learners. The Session Focused on self-awareness as a foundation for better decision-making, emotional regulation, relationships, and purposeful living through reflection, intrinsic motivation, and deeper understanding of the inner self.
A Guest Lecture was conducted on “Study Abroad & Credit Transfer Program” by Mr. Zachariah Samuel, Director at Computrin on 25th July, 2024 for students of department of IT/DS/AI/ML. Total 200 learners attended the session.
A Guest Lecture on the topic of “Building a Successful IT Career & Interviewing Skills: Expert Guidance” was organized on 27th July 2024 for 200 learners. The resource person, Mr. Rajeev Saigal, Regional Partner Director, Partner Ecosystems and Alliances, TCS, addressed the learners with Expert guidance on IT careers, interview techniques, and career paths, focusing on boosting student’s confidence, communication abilities, and readiness for successful job interviews.
A workshop, under STEP, “Digital Marketing (Search Engine Optimization)” was organized on 13th August 2024. The resource person, Mr. Suraj Gupta, Founder & Director, In touch Digital Institute, shared with the learners SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and optimization techniques with hands-on practice using SEO tools, providing real-world insights and industry best practices to improve website visibility and rankings. A Total 105 Learners were benefitted.
In response to a directive from the University Grants Commission (UGC), our institution solemnly observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on 14th August 2024, through a thought-provoking seminar dedicated to honouring the memory of those who suffered during the tragic Partition of India in 1947. The seminar, titled “Observance of Partition Horrors”, was a deeply moving event aimed at educating learners about the immense human cost of Partition—one of the most defining and painful episodes in the subcontinent’s history. The session was graced by Mr. Sunil Chaurasia, a noted social activist and former General Manager at ONGC, who served as the keynote speaker. Addressing a gathering of over 500 learners, Mr. Chaurasia offered heartfelt reflections and historical context, vividly bringing to life the stories of displacement, loss, and resilience. His address encouraged the audience to remember the lessons of history with compassion and critical thought.
A workshop under STEP on “Excel Essentials From Basics to Brilliance” was organized on 17th, August 2024 for the skill development of Advanced Learners. The resource person, Mr. Roshan Akhilesh Yadav, Trainee, Data Analyst Taught Excel fundamentals, advanced functions, and data analysis techniques, empowering students with practical skills to enhance productivity and create professional-grade spreadsheets and reports. 100 learners were imparted the training to enhance their skills.
A Green Diwali Campaign, under the Computational School of Science and Technology, was organized on 28 th September & 5th Octobor’24 in Harmony with Nature. The theme for the event Highlighted on “harmful effects of firecrackers” were different classroom sessions and community outreach conducted to Encourage green gifting.
A workshop on "Theatre as a Communication Tool in Real Life" was organized on 6th, January 2025. The resource person, Mr. Mohit Sharma, an actor, writer and a standup comedian, shared with the 400 learners about Improvisation, role-playing, and storytelling to enhance confidence, body language and emotional intelligence, improving communication in personal and professional settings.
Learners of the Department of IT and DS visited St. Joseph’s Convent (Assisi Bhavan), an elderly care facility in Goregaon (East), Mumbai, Maharashtra. This institution provides care for approximately 93 individuals, spanning ages from fifty to ninety years, encompassing both the able-bodied and the physically challenged. The primary objective of this visit was to expose our students to foster the sense of social responsibility and community involvement in less fortunate aspects of society, fostering a sense of appreciation towards aiding those in need. Twenty learners from IT and DS eagerly volunteered, accompanied by their teacher: Ms. Jyotsna Anthal. This compassionate endeavor unfolded on December 18th, 2024 from 16:30 to 18:30 hours.
An "Intra-Department Cricket Tournament" hosted by the IT/DS & AI/ML under FIT INDIA WEEK 2024” was held between 13th and 14th January 2025 featuring intense matches and enthusiastic support, concluding with trophy and medal distributions. on the occasion of Fit India Week. A total of 200 learners from department participated in the Tournament.
In alignment with the initiative launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, an Awareness Drive on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (NMBA) was successfully conducted on 16th January 2025. The event aimed to promote a drug-free lifestyle among students and raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse. A total of 500 learners from the department enthusiastically participated in the drive, demonstrating their commitment to building a healthier and more conscious youth community. They pledged to contribute toward a nasha-mukt (drug-free) Bharat, reinforcing the importance of personal responsibility, peer awareness and societal support in combating addiction.
The Department successfully organized an Online Certificate Course on “Shri Bhagavad Gita” from 16th to 24th January 2025, with the aim of deepening learners’ understanding of this timeless spiritual text and its relevance in contemporary life. A total of 250 learners enthusiastically participated and successfully completed the course. The sessions were led by HG Hemrup Chaitanya Prabhuji from ISKCON, Govardhan Eco Village, a revered spiritual teacher known for his engaging and insightful discourses. Throughout the course, students were introduced to the philosophical essence of the Bhagavad Gita, exploring its teachings on duty, self-awareness and inner peace. The sessions also emphasized how the Shri Bhagvad Gita's wisdom can be applied to modern challenges, especially in managing stress and anxiety, making it not only a spiritual guide but also a valuable life tool.
As part of the college’s CARRE (Connect All to Respect & Recreate Environment) Harmony with Nature program, the department organized a two-day Awareness Drive on Waste Management: Segregation at Source on 1st and 2nd April 2025 in Thakur Village area. The drive aimed to promote sustainable living practices by educating Shopkeepers, local vegetable vendors, local residents on the importance of waste segregation at the point of origin. The sessions emphasized the environmental and health benefits of proper waste separation, and encouraged the adoption of responsible disposal habits.
Plantation drive was organized by the learners of IT department under the CARRE- Harmony with Nature program (Connecting All to Respect & Recreate) with GREEN INDIA MISSION of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change, Govt. of India on 1st April & 2nd April, 2025 in the TCSC campus. Thakur Suraj Singh ji, Management Representative, Thakur Educational Group, was the chief guest and Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh the Head of the Department of IT planted the trees and graced the event with their presence and provided guidance towards this cause. Total 100 saplings were planted
