Guest Lectures


  • A Guest Lecture on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” was conducted by Dr. Manisha Devate, Assistant Professor, the University of Mumbai on 4th Dec. 2018 for the postgraduate learners of information technology. Total of 70 learners participated.    
  • A Guest Lecture was conducted on “Introduction to Blockchain Technology and its Impact in Current Market” by Mr. Pranav Shastri, Assistant Professor, KES College, on 19th Dec. 2018 and 200 learners attended the session.
  • A Guest Lecture was conducted on “Business Intelligence” by Mr. Ajay Singh, Director and Program Manager, Mr. Sachin Singh, Senior Business Analyst, CRG Solution Pvt Ltd, on 18th January 2019.
  • A special session on topic of “Personality Development and Grooming Skill” was conducted by Ms Seema Vedak, Image Coach and Soft Skills Trainer, Doozy Skills Academy, on 16th January 2019.
  • A Guest Lecture on the topic of “Technology and Latest Trends in IT Industry” was conducted by Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director, J.P Morgan, on 2nd February 2019. Total no of learner Participants were 130.
  • A Seminar on the topic of “Dharmawiki” was conducted by Prof Aditya Agrawal, IIT, Mumbai, on 13th February 2019. The objective of the session was to make learners aware about Dharmawiki and all its technical aspects of building.
  • A Special session on topic of “Personality Development and Grooming Skill” was conducted by Ms. Anuja Ajinkya, Grooming Expert and image Consultant, on16th February 2019. The aim of the session was to prepare our learners for the placement process and industry ready.
  • A Special Session was conducted on 23rd February 2019 for the learners of IT “How to prepare for Civil Services exam” by Dr. V P SHAHI-Director Royale IAS Academy. The objective of the session is to make learner aware about other job opportunities to serve country.





Workshops organized


  • Department of IT has organized three days workshop on “Android Application Development” for undergraduate (Bsc. IT) learners from 18th August 2018 to 21st August 2018. Total of 40 learners has participated in the workshop to enable them to expertise in self-service based applications. Mr. Suraj Singh, Director, Samvid Information Technology Pvt Ltd was the guest speaker.
  • Department has organized one day workshop on “Arduino Programming and Application Development” for BSc. IT learners on 25th January 2019. Total of 50 learners participated in this workshop, which enabled them the expertise to develop various Integrated application. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Varun Poladiya CEO and Co-founder, EduTronics.
  • Collaboration with University of Canberra (Australia): Thakur College of Science and Commerce Started a Course in BS (CIS) in collaboration with University of Canberra from Academic Year 2017-18. This program offers learners to study the initial two years with Thakur College, India and last two and half years with University of Canberra and complete their Graduation and Post-Graduation. Total of 5 learners from BSc-Information Technology went under this program for the academic year 2018-19





Industrial Visits


  • An Industrial visit was organized to Mahindra and Mahindra. A group of 35 students along with two faculties visited the industry on 6th Sept. 2018. The outcome of this visit was to give  real exposure of manufacturing process and process automation.
  • An Industrial visit was organized to Juri-search services Pvt Ltd. A group of 85 students along with three faculties visited Industry on 18th August 2018. The CEO of the company interacted with the students and explained how their company provides services to other countries while sitting in India. The outcome of the visit is students understood how the IT industry is serving and provides the solution to all other industries.
  • Industrial Cum Excursion Tour: - An Industrial cum excursion Tour to Amritsar, Dharamshala, Dalhousie was organized for the Second Year, Third year BSc-IT and MSc-IT Students for 10 days. Total of 52 learners participated in this tour. The Outcome of the visit is to have bonding among students and visit the industry of another state to know their work culture and experience the essence of another state.


Association with Assisi Bhawan (Old Age Home) , Shanti Daan foundation


In an initiative to connect with society as well as value learning exercise a group of learners along with faculty members visited Assisi Bhawan on 22nd February 2019 and contributed medicine, stationary items, cloths, Food Items etc.
