MA-Entertainment, Media and Advertising is a budding course of TCSC, which provides 360 degrees perspective on the various aspects of Media and allied industries. Apart from regular classes and practical assignments, learners are provided various opportunities to hone their skills. There is no denying the fact the COVID-19 has limited our movements, but, as they say, where there is a will, there is a way. In the academic year 2020-2021, MA-EMA conducted the following events for the learners: -
Department conducted a guest lecture on the topic ‘LGBTQ-Inclusion a Distant Dream’ on 9th Feb, 2021 to sensitize the students about the challenges faced by LGBTQ community. The guest for the lecture was Vicky Shinde, Transgenders Rights Activist. It was an interactive session and students cleared their myths about the transgender community.
A webinar titled "The art of Radio Jockeying" to celebrate ‘World Radio Day’ was organized on 12th February 2021. The guest speaker was Mr. Pankaj Athawale who has been in broadcasting industry for more than 15 years. Besides being a radio jockey, he is also a sports commentator and an author of the book "Stay Tuned- The History of Media in India".
The ongoing pandemic has given us many tensions and stresses, which we are finding hard to cope with. But, we at TCSC are determined to provide holistic development of the learners and also want them to become a responsible human being in future. MA-EMA in collaboration with the Department of EVS and FC organized two sessions on value education on 9th and 10th March, 2021 for the learners. The guest speaker for the session was Saint Rasa Parayana Das, ISKCON. The speaker spoke about the discovery of self and how ‘Karmas’ play an important role in deciding the fate not just in the present life but in the next birth too.
