Departmental Activities

1.Guest Lecture on “Exploration of Hydrocarbons as a potential Source of Fuel “was organised by Dr.Deveshchandra Mishra, Retired Scientist, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on 9th July.2019

2.Guest Lecture on “Importance Of English Literature Using Proverbs and Idioms “was organised on 9th September, 2019 by Ms Ruby Avri, Department of English, Mithibai College

3.Hands On Training on “Chemsketch”,a tool for drawing structures was organised on 14th September,2019  by Dr.Arjun Chavan for the MSc students

4.As part Of the flagship programme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” , Guest lecture was organised by Mrs BhartiYamgar,Head.Mistress (H.M.). Municipal School,Goregaon on 16th September,2019

5.Guest Lecture on “Career Avenues in the Pharmaceutical Industry” by Mr Nisha Kukreja, TeamLeader, Ajanta Pharmaceuticals Limited, was organised on 23rd November,2019

6.Visit to NMIMS was organised for the TYBSc students on 14th December,2020

7.Guest Lecture on “Career Avenues in the Packaging Industry” by Mr Suraj Singh, Sr.Executive,Sugar Cosmetics was organised on 21st December, 2019

8.Industrial visit to Mahananda Dairy was organised on 27th December,2019 for the TYBSc Students.47 students participated.

9.As part of Skill Development,a seminar on “Precious Metal Assay Training Institute was Organised on 8th January.2020 

10.As part of Value Addition,a visit to Swami Vivekanand Math was organised on 13th January,2020

 11.As part of the social responsibility TYBSc and MSc students participated in the pledge taking function organised by Mahindra & Mahindra as part of celebration of Road Safety Week  on 21st January ,2020.45 students were actively involved in this campaign.

12.Industrial visit to P.D.Hinduja Research Centre was organised on 4th  February,2020 for the TYBSc Students.28 students participated.

13.Students of TYBSc  attended the Workshop on dyes at National College on 8th February.2020.41 students participated.

14.Industrial visit to Medley Research Centre was organised on 15th February, 2020 for the MSc Students.31 students participated.

15.Free Health Check-up camp was organised on 22nd February,2020 in collaboration with Unicare Health Care Centre for the Teaching,Non- Teaching and the Administrative Staff.

16.Visit to TIFR was organised for the M.Sc. students on 23rd February, 2020.28 students were the part of this visit.

17.Guest Lecture on “Kashmir, an Integral part of India” by Mr Piyush Saraiya, Content writer was organised on 24th February, 2020

18.Seminar on “Career Oppourtunities in Clinical Research “was organised for the  entire TYBSc students on 3rd March,2020 .114 students participated.

19.Seminar on “MSc e-learning course at SNDT Women’s University” by Ms. Madhavi Dharankar,Department of Education &Technology,Swayam Coordinator was  organised on 6th March,2020 for the entire TYBSc students.118 students participated.

20.Hands On Training in GC – HPLCwas organized in collaboration with Varni Laboratories, in three batches.from November 2019 to March 2020.

21.Rasayan (An aptitude test in Chemistry) was organized on 16th March, 2020 for M.Sc. students.65 students appeared for this aptitude test.
