In the Academic year 2020-21, Department of Physics had organized various Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities to enhance the knowledge of learners in field of Physics. The details of the activities conducted are as follows:
On the occasion of National Science Day Department of Physics Organized a Science Quiz competition (online) for undergraduate students on Saturday, 27th Feb 2021.
A Screen play (online) on “Prof Satendra Nath Bose- A Journey towards Nobel Prize” for FY and TYBsc Students on 1st March 2021. More than 100 students participated in both the activities.
A guest lecture for Certificate course on Energy Auditing organized on Thursday 25th March 2021 through Zoom platform. Dr Ajitkumar Gudekar, Certified Energy Auditor and Assistant Professor, D J Sanghavi College of Engineering, Mumbai was the resource person. The Topic for the speech was “Energy Auditing, Energy Management & Career Opportunity”.
On 1st April, 2021 an online guest lecture was organized by the department of Physics and Botany on “Importance of Proteins in Daily Diet”. Resource person Ms. Vibha Hasija, Department of Food, Nutrition & Dietics, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, spoke about the role of proteins in our daily diet. Total 100 participants attended the session.
A Lecture on Career Opportunities in Physics after Graduation was organised on 3rd April 2021 for undergraduate students. 49 students were attended. The Resource person Mr. Shailendra Singh spoke about the various career options in the field of Physics and allied Branches.
12 Students from F Y B Sc & S. Y. B. Sc. Participated in “ORIGIN 2021” under guidance of Dr. Pravin Pawar.
19 Students appeared in National Level Online competitive examination conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers, National Graduate Physics Examination held on 24th Jan 2021.
