Report on Quiz on NEP
The Department of Statistics in collaboration with the Department of EVS and FC and the Department of Sports Science conducted a thrilling Quiz competition for the learners of Degree College. The Quiz competition was based on National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) and was held on 27th July 2023. Total 177 students participated in this competition. The event was conducted with fair rules and time limits to maintain a competitive yet friendly atmosphere.

National Sports Day in India, celebrated every August 29th, pays tribute to Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player, while promoting the importance of sports. The theme for this year, "Sports as an Enabler for an Inclusive and Fit Society," was showcased through a diverse array of sports and fitness activities.
Games like tug of war symbolized teamwork and unity, while basketball demonstrated agility and precision. Medicine ball and box jump activities emphasized endurance and power, and the pop-up squat event encouraged fitness and flexibility.
Football shooting drills demanded precision, power, and technique, instilling discipline, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Arm wrestling tested raw strength, endurance, and technique, fostering physical fitness and mental toughness.
Box jump, a challenging exercise, improved lower body strength, explosive power, balance, and coordination. Vertical jump measured an athlete's ability to reach greater heights, enhancing leg strength and agility while encouraging goal-setting.
National Sports Day brought together over 950 college learners and 15 teachers, promoting community, healthy competition, and valuable life lessons. These games were not just physical activities but instruments for personal growth, solidarity, and self-improvement, contributing to a healthier and more connected society.
