Department of Sports Science - Activities & Events in 2022-23
Along with Sport department celebrated Fit India week on 14th December, 2022. Indoor and outdoor games were organised for the students . Mr. Pandurang Chate (IRS) ,Director of SAI, Mumbai Sports And Cricket Mr. Shivam Dubey Inaugurated the programme .
Fit India School Week was started in 2019 with the imperative need of creating awareness about fitness not limited to children but also their parents, teachers, and school staff. In this campaign, Education fraternities across the country are encouraged to promote a healthy and active lifestyle by indulging in various activities such as debates, quizzes, essay writing, poster-making competitions, yoga and meditation, pledge of fitness, indigenous sports, etc. •

Sports Activity for Women’s International Days celebration
On occasion of International Women’s Day , sports department , Department of Sports Science and Women Development, as directed by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, celebrated “Kehlo India 10 ka Dum”
Two Indoor games, namely, Carrom and Table Tennis and two outdoor games Viz. Cricket and Kho -Kho were organised for the female students. The event was organised under the management of Sports Director Mr. M.K. Ali Rizvi and Coaches Mr. Gaurav Pandey and Mr. Chandan Yadav .The main motive for this event was to improve the quality of female students in the field of sport. It was also organised to encourage the female students to participate in such co-curricular activities and encourage sports activity . The female students participated in large numbers and enjoyed playing the games. Women are under - represented in the field of sports, hence to break this barrier such initiatives are important. 108 students participated in the above mentioned games

Students Achievements
Parignya Kasture, participated in the open selection trials for Judo held at New Delhi on 28 th December for Khelo India youth games 2023 ( -63 kg category) .She secured 2nd place and participated in Khelo India youth games 2023 held in Madya Pradesh in February and won silver medal for Maharashtra.
Janhavi Churi won Silver medal in India University Boxing Championship 2022-2023 . Gold medal in Inter zonal boxing tournament 2022 ,gold medal Zonal Boxing tournament 2022. Participated in

Abitha A S selected in Kerala Hockey and participated in 13th hockey India senior Nationals Champion ship to be held at Andhra Pradesh from 16th to 28th February 2023.
