Department of OCM has organized an event on “MANAGEMENT GAMES” on 12th July 2019. Three games were played 1) Hulla Hoop 2)Object Game 3)Concept Game. The objective behind this event was to develop leadership skill, communication skill, creative thinking and team spirit among the young minds. Peter Drucker says “ the basic task of management is to make people productive” and we tried our best to develop it among our students through this event. 80 students participated in this event.
Dept. of OCM has organized its second activity based on the concept of Marketing called “MARKET-KSHETRA”(Sell your product) Competition on 30/09/2019 for all the visionaries. The concept behind the event was that the students could not only demonstrate their marketing abilities but also respond to various dynamic situations. The objective behind this event is to augment the skill of selling and negotiating and to develop the level of innovation and creativity among students. 52 students participated in the event. winners of the competition: 1st Shakshi bhatt and group (Div. C19), 2nd Sonia Mehta and group (Div. C16), 3rd Priyanka Patel and group (Div. C24).
Dept. of OCM has organized “PUZZLE AND CROSSWORD” Competition on 10/1/2020 . The purpose of this competition was to remove the boredom of studies and be beneficial to the mental and physical health of students . the puzzle and crossword was based on FYJC OCM syllabus. Solving puzzle and crossword contributes to enhance your vocabulary and thinking abilities. 54 Students participated in the event.

Dept. of OCM has organized a two day Skill Development Workshop on “Research Paper Presentation” for FYJC Commerce students on 28th and 29th Jan 2020. The workshop emphasized on the development of research ideas among students. The purpose behind this workshop was to “NOURISH and EXERCISE” the young minds and the Need for Research in early schooling years. The workshop was lead and guided by Dr.(Mr.) Nishikant Jha. Students actively participated in the workshop and it was an interesting , interactive and informative session.86 students participated in the workshop.
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS (JUNIOR COMMERCE)
Department of economics of Thakur College (Junior Commerce) organized a Quiz competition on 6th July,2019 with a view to enhance and unleash the subject knowledge of students regarding basic concepts and current economic affairs. 80 students participated in the Quiz competition and all the participants were curious and enthusiastic throughout the event. Following divisions were the winners of the Event: - 1st C-3 2nd C 5 3rd C 7
On 31st August 2019 , Department had organized a Debate Competition on current economic issues , in order to develop confidence among the students and to get them updated with current economic happening in the country . 22 students participated in the competition.The following are the winners of the Debate Competition : 1st C3 / 456 Aerisha Maknojiya 2nd C3 / 433 Arjit Roy 2nd C3 / 493 Fiza Shiakh 3rd C1 / 065 Shubham Behe.
On 18th January,2020 the department had organized a “Guest lecture” on current “Economic issues” and “Career in Economics” Speaker was of the day was Dr. Nishikant Jha, co-ordinator of BAF (TCSC). 80 Students attended the lecture. Speaker brought insight into the current economic issues faced by Indian economy and also elaborated to students about prospective career in economics.
DEPARTMENT OF SECRETARIAL PRACTICE (JUNIOR COMMERCE)
Department of Secretarial practice of Thakur College (Junior Commerce) had organized the following activity as on:-
ACTIVITY NO 1: Presentation of Documents, the competition on 20th July 2019. Total numbers of student’s participants was 30 in the group of two each. They had come prepared with charts and in formal dress. They were highly motivated and presentation was with full confidence .The competition was judged by judges Mr. Vijay Jinna and Mr. Yogesh Varia .At the end of competition judges had given motivational speech to our students which was very much required. They also guided the students with improvement .Many students gave their valuable presence in the programme last but not the least, VP Kiran Jadhav grace the occasion. ACTIVITY NO. 3: Seminar on “Company Secretary-a prospective career option” on 17 January 2020 at 1.30p.m in seminar hall. It was conducted by Miss Vimala Jagadia , faculty from ICSI Institute. The seminar was attended by 112 students of F.Y.J.C .The students were given complete exposure of the C.S course included its future perspective i.e career opportunities inside India and abroad, packages etc. Students shown their interest by asking lots of questions and queries and same were answered by the expert very well upto the expectations of the students of the student’s the seminar was continue by Dr.Nishikant Jha (co-coordinator of BAF and head of counseling cell of degree college )seminar motivated many students to opt C.S as a career option .After seminar ,students started taking interest in the subject of Secretarial practice and requested to have many more such seminars in coming years .
ACTIVITY NO. 4: Poster Making Competition was held on various subject related topics like Banks, CSR, etc. on 3rd March 2020.

हिंदी साहित्य परिषद्
शैक्षणिक वर्ष २०१९-२०२० में शिक्षार्थियों को वर्तमान सरोकारों के अनुरूप अद्यतन बनाने की प्रक्रिया स्वरूप उनमें सर्जना और पहल को विकसित करने के लिए हिंदी साहित्य परिषद् निरंतर उन्मुख रहा I सर्जना और पहल को विकसित करने के लिए जरूरी है कि हम बच्चों को सीखने की प्रक्रिया में पूरा भागीदार मानें और बनाएँ, उन्हें ज्ञान की निर्धारित खुराक का ग्राहक मानना छोड़ दें I
शिक्षार्थियों के स्कूली जीवन को बाहर के जीवन से जोड़ा जाना चाहिए, अतएव हिंदी साहित्य परिषद् द्वारा समय-समय पर विद्यालयीन एवं अंतरविद्यालयीन कविता व कहानी वाचन प्रतियोगिता, वाद–विवाद प्रतियोगिता, निबंध तथा कहानी लेखन, वक्तृत्व एवं नुक्कड़ नाटक लेखन आदि प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित की गयीं I इन प्रतियोगिताओं के माध्यम से शिक्षार्थियों की भाषिक अभिव्यक्ति और बौद्धिक स्तर को बेहतर बनाने का प्रयास किया गया I इसी क्रम में विभिन्न प्रतियिगिताओं के विजेताओं का विवरण निम्नवत है –

As a part of SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS, EVE Department (Jr.Commerce) conducted a Skill development programme on Natural Disaster- Fire by way of lectures and hands-on- training by Fire Officers at Borivali west fire station on 19th January 2020.
Total 45 students and Mrs.Dipika Patil (Incharge) attended this programme.
Participants of this programme shall receive a badge of Fire Volunteer and Certificate of Participation.
This programme was conducted by Mr. Pravin Shinde- Station Officer, Borivali west fire station and co-ordinated by Mr. Ravindra Ambulgekar- Deputy Chief Fire officer, Western suburbs.
A guidance lecture on how to combat Natural Disasters was conducted on 21st January, 2020. The resource person was Ms. Shruti Papaiya and this session was also attended by 45 students.
The Department of Environment Education (Junior Commerce) celebrated International Tiger Day on 16th August 2019..... All the Fyjc n Syjc students along with the teachers took a pledge to SAVE TIGERS....which was accompanied by a small skit enacted by the Syjc students .... The event concluded with a poster making competition.

Report on Guest lecture
Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Junior Commerce Mathematics Department organized an interactive lecture session on “Moral and Ethics-A way to Humanity” by guest speaker Dr. Vinit Vaidya on 31st July, 2019.
With growing advancements in technology and globalization, we often find ourselves at danger of losing touch with own culture.
Dr. Vaidya enlightened the students about the importance of morals and ethics towards the society.
His explanations were based on simple examples which enabled the students to understand how morality and ethics are an intrinsic part of humanity, informing them about their innate responsibilities towards the society. 144 S.Y.J.C. students attended the session.
