OCM Dept of junior commerce had organized a webinar on Business Value Development on 30th sept 2021. The purpose of this webinar was to educate students regarding Business Value Development. BAV is a strategic approach for management of career as well as business in current circumstances. The speaker Dr. RAJENDRA DESHPANDE focused on various values which should be developed by students in Startup and Entrepreneurship.
The overall webinar was based on developing the business values, understanding about various function of business, development of student’s personality and various ethics through which students could decide the right career in future. It was a very interacting and motivating session where around 175 students participated.
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS
Department of Economics of TCSC Junior College organized a Webinar on “GENDER EQUALITY”, on Zoom Platform, on 29th October, 2021- from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm.
International Public Speaker, Motivator and Winner of Miss India Brainy Beauty-2019, Miss. Sakshi Pandit was the key note speaker of the session.
There were 263 participants in the session. Speaker has thrown light into areas and cases of gender discrimination with facts and figures and emphasized on need for gender equality- the need of the hour. Session was highly interactive. Both the speaker and audiences were highly energetic, vibrant and were enthusiastic. Speaker highly appealed students to use social media to create awareness about gender equality and to raise voice against gender discrimination, if observed anywhere.
Webinar ended with question-answer session and giving a strong, positive social message.

WEBINAR ON GENDER EQUALITY THROUGH GENDER PARITY -
The Department of S.P ( Junior Commerce ) organized a Webinar on ' GENDER EQUALITY THROUGH GENDER PARITY ' on 8th October, 2021 at 4 pm via ŹOOM online platform.
The Resource person for the event was Associate Professor ( Mrs.) SABIHA MORE , a multi - faceted person holding a Master's degree in 8 subjects, SET qualified and also a Teacher - Educator.
The main objective of this webinar was to induct today's youth about Gender roles, Gender discrimination, Women empowerment, Role of Patriarchy and emphasis on equal existence of both sexes in our society.
The Resource person supported her points with the help of lucid and live examples, inclusive of her own life instances. Her tone was indeed stern, assertive with a wonderful blend of humor. The audience could easily connect to her talks and thoroughly enjoyed the session.
This webinar was attended by 106 participants, including boys and girls. The students felt that this session was apt by adhering to various gender discrimination issues in today's Indian society.
Our students definitely parted with a lesson to respect the other sex, avoid gender bias and means to be a better person in their own life by maintaining gender parity.
A wonderful, lighthearted, humorous, power-packed, thought - provoking and eye - opening session, indeed!
COMMERCE ASSOCIATION 2021 -2022
EVENT 1 REPORT
The Commerce Association in collaboration with the Anti-Tobacco Cell organized a 2 days Awareness seminar on 16th and 17th December, 2021 on ‘Harmful effects of Tobacco’ targeting all its FYJC students.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Rohan Bartake, a full-time Tobacco Treatment specialist, currently working in the Awareness department of Indian Cancer Society. He has conducted numerous tobacco cessation training courses and tobacco de-addiction camps for traffic policemen.
Today’s youth is highly addicted to various forms of tobacco, hookah parlours being the latest rage among them. Students are simply influenced by their seniors and peers, followed by broadcast media to a great extent. The main solo intent of such a session with our students was to educate the teens by creating a cognizance about the harmful killer effects of tobacco on their individual lives and society at large.
Our students found this eye-opener session quite relatable as their participation in huge numbers was evident. The number of participants as an aggregate number were -------------, making this wonderful interaction all the more fruitful.

On 22 DECEMBER 2021 ,HPE Department had organized a Debate Competition on "ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ", in order to develop confidence among the students and to get them acquainted with the aftermath of Economic development on Environment and Natural resources . 14 students participated in the competition.

The speaker for the interactive session was Mrs. Vimala Jogadia before commencing the seminar she welcomed all the students. And after welcoming all of them she gave a brief explanation about what is CS and why CS is important and also, she explained why we should achieve it. After explaining importance of CS she further touched the levels of CS i.e, 1) CS Foundation Programme,
2) CS Executive Programme and the final level is the
3) Professional Programme. The speaker gave a brief information whether the papers are computer based or written paper and also mentioned how many times exams are held. Further she spoke about dates of registration, open book test’s, intellectual property rights (IPR) and also explained the benefits of (IPR). Further she spoke about what kind of works are to be conducted by the by the Company Secretary in a Corporate/firm.
She also spoke about the academic performances throughout the graduation and also thoroughly explained the process of articleship. Further she added most essential thing i.e., when we can start our CS preparation before graduation or after graduation, it is compulsory to register ourselves with the Institute Of Companies Secretary Of India [ICSI].
Moving ahead she gave a brief explanation about the dates of registration and basic guidelines of registration and examination also she shared external knowledge apart from the academic’s with students. Also, she discussed about the package, intensive and various facilities provide by the concern and how practical knowledge is important for Company secretary and for achieving it and spoke about how we can start our practice once the certificate is acquired. After our academic gets over. She explained us about specialization in various departments, the fee structure for all the three levels given above. And study materials, etc. She also suggested about the PHD course’s which are provided by the Mumbai university. At last, she gave a brief explanation about tie ups of Institute Of Companies Secretary Of India [ICSI]. With other countries like Australia, Canada, London, Singapore, etc.
The students found the session very helpful and motivating in every aspects.

Junior Commerce
Department of Economics of TCSC Junior Commerce organized a ‘Short Film Making/Slide Show/Story Telling Competition’ On “Value Education”, on the 26th of August 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:15 pm, through Zoom Video App.
The main objective of this event was to develop moral values that in turn will inculcate good manners, empathy, sympathy, generosity, team spirit, etc, leading to overall development of the personality of the students. This will help them to contribute towards socio-economic-political and institutional development of the nation, as the future lies in the hands of today’s youth.
We received 100 participants for the event which was judged by Mr. Deepak Tiwari and Mrs. Puja Shettigar.

Webinar on Social Media Security
The IT department (Junior college) of Thakur College of Science and Commerce had conducted a programme for S.Y .J.C Commerce students on 3rd September 2021 through the Zoom platform at 5:00p.m.
Social media is a breeding ground for malicious activity. It’s important that everyone understands best practices for social media engagement and security to avoid getting hacked by a cyber-criminal. The objective of this programme was to acquire information about network security threats and measures to tackle.
Mr. Sachin Dedhia who is a founder of Skynet Secure Solutions, a company headquartered in Mumbai that specializes in CyberSecurity and Digital forensics was the Resource person and Speaker for the event. He is an independent Cybercrime Investigator and also a certified Ethical Hacker(EC-Council USA.) He is also a certified International trainer in the field of Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, Cybercrime Investigation and Digital forensics.
The programme was attended by 104 participants that comprised of students and teachers of Junior Commerce. The programme started with a welcome address by Mrs. Sujata Poojary followed by prayer and Vice Principal Mr. Kiran Jadhav’s address. The Guest was introduced to the audience by Mrs. Pranita Ambulgekar.
Thereafter the session was conducted by Mr. Sachin Dedhia wherein he introduced a very useful spy software called Flexispy. This software had many useful features. He also demonstrated various techniques of keeping our confidential data safe from malicious hackers, specially on the mobile phones. He demonstrated methods to ensure that our personal images uploaded on Social media are not into wrong hands or are not being used for wrong purposes. The involvement and interest of the student participants was remarable which was reflected when each one of them asked interesting question. The questions from the audience were convincingly answered by the Guest.
The session was concluded with a Vote of thanks given by Mr. Prashant Hakim, Incharge of IT dept (Jr. College). All the participants were given e-certificates.
Technical aspects during the online event were efficiently taken care by Mr. Pankaj Kathiriya and Ms. Pooja Singh.

The Department of English in Thakur College of Science and Commerce Junior College had organised a webinar on 8th September,2021, 5pm onwards. The topic for the session was “Carrer Guidance” and was conducted by the resource person, Dr. Vinit Vaidya. The total number of participants for the webinar were 242 participants including the faculties as well as students of both FJYC and SYJC from Science and Commerce sections.
The event was a grand success with the very informative and qualitative inputs provided by the guest speaker. Towards the conclusion, the question and answer round saw a maximum participation from the students.

Junior Commerce SP dept. report On Student Development Programme
Department of Secretarial Practice organized a 3 days seminar from 1st July, 2021 to 3rd July 2021, 4pm to 6pm via WEBEX Online platform. The main theme of the programme was
‘Investor awareness programme on stock market’ covering principles and do’s & don’t’s of investing.
The key note speaker for 1st July, 2021 was Dr. Kartika P. on the topic “Financial awareness and consumer training”, in which she explained process if taking loan and pyramid of investment.
She also explained to avoid impulsive buying thereby achieving financial goals like income, savings, and investment by investing money in various schemes which creates long term wealth.
Key note speaker for 2nd July 2021 Dr. Prabhakaran K. on the topic “Introduction to Securities Market”.
In his address he explained mandates of SEBI, major work done by SEBI for financial market expansion and investor protection. He further discussed aspects of primary markets whereby by students were given idea how to apply for public issue.
The key notes speakers for 3rd July, 2021 were Dr. Kartika P. and Dr. Prabhakaran K. they imparted hands on training regarding the operation of Demat account and online trading. Principals of wise investing along with it’s do’s and don’ts. Dr. Prabhakaran K. also explained about Mutual funds it’s workings and Top five careers in capital markets. All doubts and questions raised by the audience were discussed and cleared in the concluding question and answer session.
The programme was attended by 348 participants.
Outcome: Students learned the Importance of financial freedom, how to invest and also learned about different markets.

BANKING NATIONALISATION DAY
Department of Junior College (Organisation of Commerce & Management) had participated in Banking Nationalisation Day, an Inter-collegiate event organized by Department of Banking and Insurance and Department of Organization of Commerce and Management (junior college).It was held from 19th July to 22ndJuly,2021. It was Skilled based event where in junior college as well as other college students participated. Event was held through the online Zoom platforms and Google Forms. 130 students participation in the four day event.
DAY 1: INAUGURATION
The inaugural ceremony of the Bank Nationalisation Day commenced with Ganpati Vandana. The chief guest of the inaugural ceremony Mr Asif Khan described the importance of Banking and Insurance and related fields and how they are interconnected from a long time. He motivated everyone to actively participate in the workshop to get benefited. He also briefed about the importance of the topic and our esteemed resource persons. He wished for the success of the workshop and inspired the participants of junior college.
Event Day 1-Materials Are Few But Model Is New
The students from Junior college [commerce] showed their participation in the very first day of the event ‘Materials are few but Model is New’. The participants made models and presented it. The models were made with eco-friendly materials. The topic for the event was: Banking and current environment scenario. The event was judged by Mr. Ravinder Singh Chawla. The event focused on the importance of our environment through the aspect of Banking. The event was followed by the fun PR games for the participants. 10 students participated in the event
Event Day2- That’s a valid one
The event was well organized by the Department of B.Com [banking and insurance] and Department of Organization of Commerce and Management. 20 students participation in the event from Junior College and 4 students from other college participated . The event ‘That’s a valid one’ targeted to analyze the problem-solving skills of the participants. The event was judged by Mrs. Nisha Singh. The participants chose themselves to be the employees and officials at the bank like bank managers, marketing officers and many more. They were asked skill-based questions according to their chosen position in bank. A great flow of the event was observed with the questionnaire round of the participants and the judge. At the end, Surprise PR games were held for the participants by the host.
EVENT DAY 3- Welcome To My Bank
The third day of the event showed a huge wave of 32 participation from the Junior College [commerce]. It was well-organized by the set committee of teachers and students. The main motive of the event was to give the participants an opportunity to measure their acumen in the world of financial market. The event was judged by Mr. Tushank Devadiga. The participants choose themselves to be a representative of a certain bank , had to convince the judge with their effective skills , make them believe the best about their bank and were later cross questioned by the judge. The event went smooth with the active participation of avid participation of C Junior college commerce students. Later the wonderful event was followed by the PR games for the participants
EVENT DAY4- Brain Twister
The Day 4 of the event showed maximum participation of 60 students from the Junior Commerce. A quiz was conducted through the Google forms. Participants were asked tricky questions to judge their mental ability, to see how they analyze information and solve any problem. The event was followed by the fun PR games for the participants by the host.

He suggested steps towards national integration. 130 students participated in the event.

The Department of E.V.E. (Junior Science & Commerce) organized a Webinar on “CAREER GUIDANCE “on 24th July, 2021 at 4 p.m. using the online platform – ZOOM. The main motto of this webinar was to acquaint our Std. 12th students about the various career options available in the less known field of Environmental studies.
The Resource person and Speaker for the event was – Dr. Vinit Vaidya. His qualifications include M.Sc., SET and Ph. D in Mycology & Plant Pathology along with many Research projects and Paper presentations to his credit.
The webinar had 315 participants varying from both Science & Commerce streams. The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and their queries were solved by the expert himself. It was an indeed eye opener session, thereby providing an insight into an unperturbed arena.
