The Science Association of Thakur College of Science and Commerce (Empowered Autonomous College), Kandivali (East), Mumbai, is dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for the sciences, nurturing intellectual curiosity and encouraging innovation among students. As an integral part of an empowered autonomous institution, our association is committed to creating a dynamic and stimulating environment where budding researchers can explore, experiment, and excel.
At the Science Association, we believe that science is not just about learning facts; it's about cultivating a mindset of inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking. Our mission is to provide students with the platform and opportunities to engage deeply with scientific concepts, develop practical skills, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.
Throughout the academic year, we organize a wide range of activities designed to inspire and challenge our learners. These include guest lecture, Origin- an Intra-collegiate Science exhibition, Visit to Science Institutions, Field trips etc. that allow students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. The Origin is an Intra-collegiate Science exhibition, where all Science Departments come together to celebrate the wonders of Science through competitions cum exhibitions, and interactive sessions. This event is a showcase of the talent, creativity, and dedication of our students, providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and inspire others. It also emphasize the importance of research and innovation, encouraging students to undertake science projects.
