VIVEKANANDA ASSOCIATION (2019-2020)
Vivekananda Association was formed with the objective of inculcating teachings of Swami Vivekanada and reliving his ideals in the present times. The Association intends to promote a strong moral ground for a New and Progressive India through its various activities.
Swami Narasimhananda, from Ramkrishna Mission, Mumbai addressed the students on “Facing Failure” and building a strong value base on 14th August, 2019. The lecture was attended by more than 300 students.
On 20th August, 2019, a total of 77 degree learners participated in the Group Discussion on “Hard Work”, voicing their opinions on various aspects of hard work and its relevance in life.
Quiz Competition on the life of Swami Vivekananda was held on 20th September, 2019. A 25 minutes video was played for the students who were then asked questions on life of Swami Vivekananda. 80 teams consisting of 2 members each participated in the competition.
Winners- 1st - Isha Shetty and Sameeha Joshi (FYBMS), 2nd- Kusum Aggarwal and Varsha Yadav (FYBMS), 3rd prize Vedant Pandey and Shrey Mewada (FYBMS).
A week long celebrations were undertaken as part of National Youth Day.
-Swami Vivekanada Portrait Making Competition initiated the celebrations.

-Silent March in entire college was made on 14th Jan, 2020, to make students aware of Swamiji’s thought and empower them.
-Elocution Competition was organised on 22nd January, 2020 on topic ‘Influence of Swami Vivekananda’s thought on prominent personalities”. Winners- 1st - Resham Gholap (F.Y.B.Sc.), 2nd- Akshata Rao (F.Y.B.Sc.), 3rd- Kanhaiya Patwa (S.Y.B.Sc.) , Esli Sunny Emmanuel (Biotech)
-Essay Writing Competition on “Swamiji’s vision of Education as Nation Building Exercise” had 54 students participated on 22nd January, 2020. Best Essays: Cecilia Anthony Muntode (F.Y.B.Sc.), Shraddha Pradeep Verma (F.Y.B.Sc.), Nilesh JayPrakash Prasad (S.Y.B.Sc.) and Nandini Mishra (S.Y.B.Sc.)
-‘Social Media Influencer with Swamiji’s thought’ was a social media based competition conducted on 23rd January, 2020.Winners: Hasim Alam (S.Y.B.Sc.), Vivek Tiwari (S.Y.B.Sc.), Supriya Soni (S.Y.B.Sc.)
As part of Community Sensitisation Drive about Swami Vivekanada’s thought, students from the association enacted mime at BMC School, Samata Nagar on 17th February, 2020. The mime act was well received by students and teachers.
