INTRA COLLEGE SWAMI VIVEKANANDA RESEARCH AND PPT COMPETITION

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ASSOCIATION of THAKUR COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND COMMERCE in association with VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI ( MUMBAI SHAKHA) ORGANISED A RESEARCH AND PPT COMPETITION to celebrate GURU POORNIMA. The event was held on 31st July, 2021 and was spread over three days. Dr Abhijit Phadnis was invited as a chief guest on the opening day of the event. 

There were 30 groups represented by different department. Each group of 5 students were mentored by a teacher from the department. In total 142 students participated. The students were asked to research on any one of the following topics and present their research findings in PPT

1. Guru Shishya parampara

2. Self Reliance (Atmanirbhar)

3. Swadeshi (supporting Indian technology)

4. Application of technology in solving everyday problem

5. Rainwater harvesting

Dr Prachi Moghe (TISS), Dr Naren Israney( Prof- Mumbai University), Smt Smita Waingonkar (TISS) and Dr Narendra Joshi( Vivekananda Prabhodini were invited to judge the event. The event started on 31st July with Chief Guests and our Principal madam’s inspiring speech. This was followed by PPT presentation. 12 groups presented on the day one of the event. PPT presentations were continued on 3rd August, 2021 and final result were declared on 11th August, 2021. Following students were declared winners by the judges.

 Smt Jagruti Tai Save, representative of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari gave the concluding speech and ended the program with Shanti Mantra.

1. QUIZ COMPETITION Swami Vivekananda Association  organized online Quiz Competition on the life of Swami Vivekananda on 15th Nov 2021. The Quiz had 25 questions on different aspect of Swamiji’s life. 304 students from different departments participated in the Quiz Competition. All the students who participated were given certificates.

2. GUEST LECTURE ON VALUES IN DIGITAL ERA

Swami Vivekananda Association of TCSC along with B.Com ( International Accounts ) B.Com (Entrepreneurship) and MCom(Ecom) has organized a guest lecture on VALUES IN DIGITAL ERA. Swami Devakantyananda Maharaj was invited as the guest speaker. The event was organized on 1st December at 5pm on zoom platform. 164 students from  UG and PG courses attended the lecture. In the lecture Swamiji made students aware of importance of discipline in digital era and urged them to use technology to their advantage and not to get addicted to the same.

INTERCOLLEGE SWAMI VIVEKANANDA RESEARCH AND PPT COMPETITION

To commemorate Birth Anniversary of RamKrishna Paramhans, Swami Vivekananda Association of Thakur College Of Science and Commerce organized Inter college Swami Vivekananda Team research and PPT competition on 18th February, 2022 on zoom plat form.

31 teams from different colleges in Mumbai participated with the total of 110 students. Each team had a mentor teacher to guide them through the research process. The topics for the research were 

1. Famous personalities influenced by Swami Vivekananda

2. Swamiji's view on women empowerment

3. Education and Values inspired by Swami Vivekananda

4. Swami Vivekananda's idea on Nation Building

Mr VV Laxmi Narayana( IPS) was invited as the chief guest of the event.
