To prevent, the menace of ragging and maintain healthy interpersonal relations among students in the college campus, ragging is strictly forbidden in the college campus. The Anti-Ragging Committee has been actively functioning and all the members of Anti Ragging Committee are actively taking efforts to maintain the ragging free environment in college campus.
In alignment with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and to ensure a
safe and inclusive environment for students Anti-ragging committee has conducted following activities:
1. Ant-ragging committee celebrated Anti-ragging day by showing videos on ragging & its effects to First Year UG/PG Degree college learners on 25th September 2024. The aim of the activity was to create awareness about Ragging and to sensitize students about Ragging and its negative impact on mental and physical health of students. Total 1152 students have attended this activity.
2. Anti-ragging committee organized Poster Making Competition on theme ‘Ragging & its effects’ on 5th October 2024. The aim of the activity was to create awareness among the learners about ragging and its negative impact. Total 26 students participated in the competition.
The competition has increased awareness about the serious consequences of ragging. Participants could creatively highlight the physical, mental, and emotional harm caused by ragging, drawing attention to its harmful effects on victims.

3. Anti-ragging committee organized Silent-Rally for degree college learners on the topic “Ragging Awareness” on 17th & 18th December 2024. The aim of the rally was to create awareness about ragging & its ill effects. In this rally, posters on Anti—ragging, no ragging, ragging free campus were shown to the students in classroom by a group of students. Total 1142 students have attended this Rally.
4. Anti-ragging committee has also organized Ragging-Awareness Campaign across the campus on 8th February 2025. The campaign aimed to sensitize students about the serious consequences of ragging and to promote a culture of mutual respect, empathy, and safety within the academic environment.
Activities Undertaken:
i) Informative posters were displayed at various prominent locations within the campus to create visual awareness about anti-ragging rules and the importance of respectful student behavior.
ii)Faculty members and volunteers conducted interactive sessions with students, urging them to refrain from any actions that may constitute ragging and to immediately report any such incidents to the concerned authorities.
iii)Students were also informed about the various support systems and helpline numbers available for their protection and mental well-being.
The campaign witnessed active involvement from the student community, with around 154
learners participating in the sessions and awareness activities.
5. The Anti-Ragging Committee conducted an Anti-Ragging Awareness Survey on 7th January 2025 to assess students’ awareness of anti-ragging policies and enhance preventive measures. The survey aimed to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
A total of 562 students participated in the survey, providing valuable insights into their understanding of anti-ragging regulations and campus safety. Responses were collected anonymously to ensure confidentiality. Fundamental Observations are as under:
Awareness: Most learners were aware of the institution's anti-ragging policies and consequences.
Campus Safety: A majority of learners felt the campus was safe and appreciated the existing security measures.
Reporting Mechanisms: The majority of learners demonstrated a strong understanding of the incident reporting process.
The survey results indicate strong awareness of anti-ragging policies and a generally safe campus environment. However, improvements in reporting mechanisms and awareness initiatives can further enhance safety.
