DLLE has been recognized as a statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community. In the academic year 2021-22, a total of 135 learners registered for various DLLE projects like Survey of Women’s Status (SWS), Population Education Club (PEC), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Career Project (CP) and Industry Oriented Project (IOP).
Poster making competition to promote importance of education was organized for NIOS learners on 13th December 2021 in which 14 NIOS learners participated.
Slogan writing competition on Success & Women empowerment was organized for NIOS learners on 6th January 2022 in which 14 NIOS learners participated.
Survey was conducted by 14 NIOS learners on 17th January 2022 to find out the unemployment issue caused by COVID-19
On occasion of voter’s day, 30 CP learners participated in an online debate competition on 25th January 2022 on topics like Social networking sites are used for stalking instead of communicating, India making progress towards adapting e-voting and Information overloading is a psychological issue amongst the youth. The event was judged by Mr. Neeraj Singh Manhas, Director, Indo-Pacific, at Raisina House, New Delhi.
On 25th January, 2022, 10 IOP students participated in quiz completion on the National Voter’s Day.
On occasion of National Voter’s Day, PEC learners participated in online slogan writing competition.
On 7th February 2022, Poster competition was organized for NIOS learners to spread awareness about importance of voting.
Online skit was organized 24th February 2022, in which 14 NIOS learners to spread awareness about importance of the education
Online slogan writing competition on women empowerment was conducted on 6th March 2022 in which 27 SWS learners participated.
Online quiz competition on women empowerment was conducted on 9th March 2022, in which 26 SWS learners participated.
An online essay competition was conducted on 10th March 2022 for SWS learners in which 27 students submitted essays on topics like status of women in India, women achievers of modern India, Protection of women from domestic violence act 2005, laws protecting women, dowry prohibition rules, etc.
An online Poster making competition on Environmental pollution, child labour, save girl child, HIV Aids, save food, save water, etc. was conducted on 12th March 2022 for SWS learners in which 23 SWS learners participated.
An online career guidance session by eminent speaker Mr. Viral Sanghavi, AVP, Nomura Services India Private Ltd was organized on 31st March 2022 in which 70 participants from all the DLLE projects participated.
Learners registered for PEC performed various online activities like designing digital T shirts, creative poster making, making a Print Ad for NGO along with an effective
message, effective slogan writing, conducting survey on topics related to environmental and social issues like myth about female menstrual cycle, tobacco smoking costs hundreds of lives every year, birth by C section becoming money making practice in hospitals, Impact of social media on teenager, marital rape, important steps towards animal welfare. PEC learners selected topics from the above list and worked on it individually so that multiple awareness programs and ideas can be curated and brought together like designing T shirts on general awareness

15. On 9th April, 2022 an Online Virtual Industrial visit was conducted to get a detailed and in-depth information about the working and production of the Amul ice-cream.
Thakur College DLLE learners participated in various competitions in UDAAN Festival on 8th March & 9th March 2022 & won consolation prizes in Elocution competition as well as in Creative Writing Competition.
Powada singing group of TCSC for Udaan festival 2022
