Facilities at a glance

We have a wide variety of services at offer for our students and faculties. Just to give you a few examples, there are many laboratories, research and development center, car parking area, book center, multiple food joints across the campus, local bank with ATM, international studies center, conference room, auditorium and garden in the backyard.

TCSC is known not only for good quality education but for its Excellent performance in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities for which the institution provides the necessary facilities in the form of an up- to-date Modern Infrastructure with 4,376 benches, 115 Air conditioner , 13 LCD Projector Rooms, 10 Computer Labs, 99 Class Rooms, 14 Science Labs in which 4 are for junior section, 2 Automatic Lift, 1Seminar Hall (350 Capacity) 1Audotirium (650 Capacity) and 1 presentation room with smart board.

College also has Rain harvesting facility, Vermi Compost in garden along with fire extinguisher at all floor, Digital Meter with tripper in every rooms & 3 Phase electric line along with Acrylic Fencing on External Walls.

Exterior

Thakur College of Science and Commerce is one of the premier institutes in Mumbai when it comes to infrastructure. We have various useful facilities available for students so they can excel in both academic activities and extra-curricular ones.

Interior

Just as the amazing exterior of the building, we have beautiful interior. The college entrance is wide and accessible to physically disabled. The entrance gives way to well-lit quadrangle with seating facility. A bank and a book center are also situated right inside the campus.

Classrooms and Labs

Our college classrooms are airy, well-lit and clean. Our college labs are stocked full with latest precision-callibrated equipments and tools which are required to perform experiments. We also have state of the art multimedia lab.

Recreational Infrastructure

Students of Thakur college also have fun! They play in the gymkhana, relax in the gangway and eat at multiple food joints spread across the campus.

Cricket/Football Stadium and International Standard Multi‐Sport Facility

Thakur Cricket Stadium ground has two pitches which are actively used & its outfield has patches of green grass and red soil. The ground has lush green outfield with 60 to 65 yard boundary and natural turf wicket. Thakur stadium cricket ground is one of the best grounds in Kandivali area which provides international standard multi‐sport facility . It is having sitting are where 500 to 600 people can sit and enjoy the sports events. Ample parking space toilet,drinking water facilities are availble within the stadium area. Care taker staff cottage are also availble.

The entire stadium area is covered with full boundary wall. The boundary is short only on side of the pitch which is straight. Stand side boundary is quite long. Proper white marking for 30 yards is clearly visible. Ground is available on rent for both leather as well as tennis ball.Ground is also available for night matches.

Thakur Cricket Stadium Turf, a unique international standard multi‐sport facility that has been set up at Thakur Stadium. While they have prepared two artificial football pitches, Thakur Cricket Stadium Turf will offer the best possible training facilities for football, cricket, volleyball, and tennis. Football academies provide coaching at the turf.

Sports

The institution has a Gymkhana with Exercise tools and playing equipments that includes Champion Boards, Chess Sets, Footballs, Carrom Boards, Table Tennis Boards, Gymnastic Mats, Volleyballs and Cricket Kits etc. Yoga is also practised there and teams have travelled all around India winning competitions.

The institute shares 2 huge playgrounds :

• Cricket ground – 39600 sq. mtrs. area
• Football ground – 28810 sq.mtrs. area

Coaches of International repute are appointed for Football and Volleyball. Recognized sports coaches are also appointed for Carom, Cricket, Boxing, Athletics, Taekwondo and Chess.

Learning, Research and Development

We have Specialized facilities and equipment for teaching, learning and research. The Institute has a separate Research Centre on the 5thfloor for Physical, Chemical, Computer and Biological Sciences. The Department of Botany and Zoology organizes field trips in and around Mumbai to understand biodiversity. Departments of BAFTNP; BMS, BMM, B.Com.(F.M.), B.Com.(B&I), B.Com.(IM), M. Com. (e-comm.); B.Com.(A&F), B Sc-CS, BSc-IT etc. have project work as one of the subject to give students assistance and practical exposure these physical facilities are very helpful.

Library

Our library is well-stocked with latest books (both fiction and non-fiction) and research and industry journals. The College library is open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm on working days. We also organise book fair & exhibition in the college campus. The Exhibition is open for the student and staff. It Exhibits various books and journals from various publishers.

Auditorium

Auditorium is where we hold all the events of the college. Auditorium is also used for national and international conferences which are going on throughout the academic year.

Conference room

Conference room is used for important meetings where all the stakeholders participate.

Events

Our college events are hugely popular with the students. Events are going on all year round. There are university level events, college level events and department level events. We also invite special guests from multitude of fields like entertainment, fashion, science and social work.

Hostels

We have 12 flats of 1RK Modified for 36 learner’s with one wardrobe & one study table along with A/C facility. It's a boys-only hostel.

Labs

We have well-equipped computer labs.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are well-lit and spacious.
