Event Name: COVID 19 TRAINING
Date: May 2020

Covid-19 online training was organized by Director General, NCC during the month of May. This training was completed on diksha app, which was certified by Government of India. During the training, the cadets were taught how to perform field duties and the precautions that should be taken. The same was shared with people of their colonies. 26 cadets of our unit completed the training successfully and got the certificate for the same.
Event Name: ONLINE NCC QUIZ

Online National Quiz Competition was organized by the college NCC unit. The aim of this quiz was to check the knowledge of Cadets as well as other college students about NCC. Approximately 2000 learners from different colleges of India including 26 cadets from our college participated in this unique competition. Gold, silver and bronze certificates were given to top 3 scorers. Digital certificates were given to all the participants who scored more than 50% points in the quiz.

International Yoga Day was celebrated online on 21st June 2020. Our 26 cadets participated virtually in this celebration in the presence of their family members and friends. Following the protocol of yoga day, all cadets performed different Asans like Anlom-Villom, Pranayam, Surya namskar and Kapal Bhati. This year’s theme “Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family” stressed on the importance of immunity and healthy living during Covid-19 outbreak.

Kargil Vijay Diwas-2020 was celebrated to commemorate the victory, valor and sacrifice of the brave Indian soldiers. On 27th July, 2020, a webinar was organized to remember this heroic moment. Kargil War Veteran Naik Deepchand was invited as the Chief Guest and Speaker for the event. Naik Deepchand addressed 700 learners from the College through this webinar in which he highlighted that the fact that Kargil War will always be remembered for the determination of junior leadership, raw courage of the jawans, tactical surprises, self- imposed national strategy of restraint in keeping the war limited to Kargil-Siachen sectors and the swiftly executed tri-services military strategy and plans. The talk was very inspiring and motivating for the learner who were filled with a sense of pride and patriotism.

Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan based webinar titled 'Job Seeker to Job Creator’ was hosted online on 12 August, 2020 and attended by 672 cadets from various colleges. Indian Army Veteran Col. Hemant Saxena (Retd.) was cordially invited to grace the occasion as the Key Note Speaker. He gave an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of education and appealed to the students to make the best possible use of their calibre and the education that they are currently receiving. He urged them to venture and explore entrepreneurship opportunities and stressed on the need to transform from being job seekers to job creators.

On the occasion of 74th Independence Day, Flag Hosting was done by our honourable trustee Mr. Jitendra Singh Ji in the presence of all other dignitaries of Thakur Trust, Principal C.T. Chakraborty Mam, the staff living nearby College and ANO Maj. N. D. Chaudhari. No Cadets participated in the Flag hosting, due to pandemic.
Event Name: FIT INDIA MOMENT

Fit India Movement campaign on 29 August, 2020 witnessed the active participation of 48 cadets via various Social Media Platforms to spread awareness about physical and mental awareness in the society. The cadets encouraged the people to remain healthy and fit by inculcating physical activities and sports in their daily lives especially in the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation.

In order to create awareness about the use of digital media, fifteen Cadets of Thakur College NCC unit participated in Digital India Awareness activity. The cadets explained different uses of digital media such as online Money transfer, bill Recharges, etc. LCPL Pinky Singh recited a poem about the same.
Event Name: BLOOD DONATION DRIVE
Date: 20th and 21st December 2020

Blood donation camp was organized by NSS and NCC units of college in collaboration with Lions club and Nayar hospital. Our total 12 cadets participated in in this drive. In this blood donation drive our cadets walked through Thakur Village and surroundings and made people aware about benefits of the noble cause of blood donation. A Total 111 Units of blood were collected by the organization and submitted to the blood banks. Our few ex- cadets donated blood for this social cause.
Event Name: ARMY DAY
Date: 15TH January 2021

On the occasion of 73rd Army Day, Cadets of our Unit venerated the courage and sacrifices made by Soldiers and Officers of Indian Army. Shok Salami was performed to pay condolences to the Brave Warriors who laid down their life for the motherland. Wreath laying ceremony was held, to pay tribute to Amar Jawan Statue. The complete program was performed with all precautions such as masks, social distancing and proper sanitization. Total 23 cadets of the unit participated in the event.

On the Occasion of 72ND Republic Day of India, the prestigious event was celebrated in our college, by the cadets of Thakur College NCC unit. The parade was demonstrated by SUO Aditya Singh. Guards were commanded by JUO Rohit Yadav. JUO Pawan Vishwakarma was the Nishan Commander. LCPL Tulsi Yadav was the Band Commander. The whole program was with proper social distancing, Masks and Sanitization.
Event Name: JALIYANWALA BAUG

On 12th April 2021, on the occasion of Jallianwala Baug Remembrance Day. Thakur college NCC unit organized a webinar. Topic of the webinar was "SAY NO TO PLASTIC”. The speaker for the webinar was Mr. Gopal Zaveri, Director of Natural Infrastructure. Ltd. He is also the CEO and founder of Sevenus Ltd. The Speaker gave a brief account of hazards of plastic emphasizing on the harmful effects on humans as well as animals and sea life. He also gave an insight to minimize use of plastic in day-to-day life. A total 52 Cadets of the unit attended the webinar. Other students of the college joined through You Tube Live.
