Thakur college had organised Cycle rally on World Environment Day. Cadets used cycles and took a round of Samta Nagar Kandivali (E). They gave very important message that is to use cycle as a medium if transport and reduce the use of private vehicle for shorter distance so that the amount of harmful gases released in the air gets lesser.

Event Name: Beach cleaning

Thakur college had organised Beach cleaning on world Ocean Day. Cadets cleaned Akasha beach and spread the message of cleanliness and hyhygiene. They also spread the that the waste should not been thrown on the shores and should be disposed in dustbins.

To celebrate International Yoga Day, Cadets perform yoga postures and shared the importance of yoga in our daily lives. They performed excises like pranayama and meditation.

Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel : 1st October 2022
On the occasion of National Unity Day and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the NCC unit of Thakur college of Science and Commerce, Kandivali organized the event ‘Unity Run’. 22 cadets of the 5 Maharashtra Girls Bn NCC Unit along with 44 cadets of the 3 Maharashtra Boys Bn NCC Unit and CTO Shweta Sharma participated in the run which took place outside Mindspace Garden in Malad West. The cadets carried posters displaying the values of Unity.
NAVY WEEK 2022

EXCERCISE: SEA VIGIL 2022

The girl cadets of Thakur College 5 Mah Bn NCC unit assisted the police force of Mumbai Sagari 1 police station, Mahim in their annual sea vigil exercise. The cadets along with CTO Shweta Sharma assembled at the location at 7:30am, after which the cadets were briefed about the exercise Sea Vigil 2022. The police staff in charge explained the history and significance of the exercise in context of national security. The cadets were then divided into groups and given positions at the entrances and around the police station. Their main work was to check every person entering the premises and ensuring that they were not from the red force. The cadets carried out their duties diligently and were successful in assisting the police in the exercise. The cadets carried out the task for 7 hours on two days. Their efforts were well appreciated.
ARMY DAY CELEBRATION 15th January, 2023
Thakur College of Science and Commerce & Thakur College of Engineering celebrated ARMY DAY on 15 January 2023 in recognition of Lieutenant General Kodandera M. Cariappa's take over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Francis Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15 January 1949. On this occasion, a guest lecture was organized by the NCC unit of the college. The guest speaker for the event was Lt. Col. Rajesh Kapur. The event was attended by a total of 120 cadets including girl cadets from degree college and boys cadets from degree college and engineering college. The event was also attended by Dr. B.K. Mishra, Principal, Thakur College of Engineering, Dr. S.D. Ajagekar, Vice-Principal, Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Major N.D. Choudhary, ANO, 3 Mah Bn NCC, Lt. Niwant Kamble, ANO and Ms. Shweta Sharma, CTO, 5 Mah Girls Bn NCC. The event started with a wreath laying ceremony in memory of the army officers who sacrificed their lives in service of the country. This was followed by an enthusiastic talk by Lt. Col. Rajesh Kapur who extensively interacted with the cadets. He shared about his experiences in army as well as academics which was highly motivating for the cadets. He also encouraged the cadets to believe in themselves and spoke about the significance of fitness, positive attitude, sense of humour, team work and emotional quotient. The cadets were highly inspired by his talk which was reflected in the dynamic question answer session with the guest speaker which marked the overall success of the event.

The parade was demonstrated by SUO Adarsh Singh. Guards was commanded by JUO Sahil Jha. JUO Devanshu Jha was the Nishan commander. The Section drill was commanded by LCPL Kaushlesh Mishra. The Band commander was LCPL Abhishek Ram. The Flag area was demonstrated by JUO Devanshu Jha and CDT Rida Singh.
Cadets did a commendable job by displaying their unity and Discipline.
