2. To make the students aware of the scope of bio-informatics as a career option.

Course Outcome:

1. The students will be able to illustrate basics of computers hardware and software as a foundation for using bioinformatics tools.
2. The student will be able to identify various areas of applications in bioinformatics.
3. They will be able to use certain bio-informatics tools such as BLAST, FASTA, RasMOL etc.
