Preamble
The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies offers an interdisciplinary programme that integrates core scientific principles with cutting-edge defence applications. It aims to produce graduates who are technically proficient and operationally aware, equipped to contribute to national defence research, development, and strategic technology management. The learners develop a strong foundation in physics, mathematics and , materials science, along with specialized knowledge in areas such as weapon systems, unmanned platforms, electronic warfare, cyber defence, and advanced sensing technologies, guided by experienced faculty and industry professionals.
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the three-year degree course of B.Sc. (Defence & Strategic Studies) must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must have passed Class 12 (H.S.C.) or equivalent examination in the Science stream.
- Must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
- Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks for reserve category candidates.
